《Heart of a tree》CHAPTER-42 GOLDEN MAN

The sting of betrayal had never felt so real and painful as it was now
the monstrosity that emerged from the bell broke out in booming laughter, its face contorted into an ugly smirk as
It looked down at the figure who was bent down from the waist in a low bow
"well done loyal servant your sacrifice and offering has been known and will not go in uncompensated"
the monster spoke with such a resentment voice that it seemed as if the voice was dripping with venom and hatred that would make anyone who heard it freeze in their tracks.
the blue figure of sam flinched and became more translucent
But still, the person in question remained bowed. Tears were streaming down his cheeks but still, he continued to remain quiet,
I watched him for a few moments longer I was confused how could a ghost cry
the monster continued to laugh
while silver flashed into existence near Sam and grabbed the ghost by the throat and pinned him to the ground like some animal,
I winced when Sam let out a wail of pain and anguish and pleaded with Silver
to stop but no matter what Sam did he could not get away from silver's iron grip,
I gasped in horror when Silver began to peel off Sams
meanwhile monster had gone crazy
it laughed again at the display
of emotion as silver's grasp on Sam
tightened,
making Sam squirm in response as silver kept pulling until Sam began to wail and shriek
Erebus calmly walked to the ghost and child sport and squared down calmly he brought his face
close enough to Sam that they were nose to nose
"you will obey me as you are Now mine!" Sam screamed louder as silver gripped his wrists and began to pull back hard
with all his strength,
Sam tried to resist but
the force behind the pull from silver was too much
And suddenly Sam's entire arm was ripped out of and blue slimily liquid began to ooze out of the cavity
I was shocked at the sight and my hands were clenched so tightly that my knuckles turned white.
silver released the ghost from his grasp
Sam crumpled forward and fell to the floor,
heaving as he sobbed while Erebus stood above him and looked triumphant
"Now you will tell us what you have done to the child of wrath or I will rip your her soul out and burn it to oblivion"
Erebus grabbed Sam by his hair and dragged the beaten ripped not so ghost to his face
their faces were now inches away from each other
"Speak" Erebus spoke the word with such command that even the monster stopped laughing
Sam whispered but stayed quiet
Erebus growled in response
and began to drag Sam away
he threw Sam up against the ground and raised his hands in the air as black smoke began forming in his palm
then he slammed it on the chest of my dormer friend
Sam immediately began to scream in agony and black liquid flowed out of his eyes and ears as he writhed around in agony.
Erebus then proceeded to throw several more punches
on Sam and soon there was what seemed as blue slimy blood flowing out of his face and nose from being repeatedly hit by Erebus
"You will speak!" Erebus shouted
meanwhile, the monster continued to laugh the crap out as he rolled over clutching its belly and howling with glee
Erebus threw Sam towards me then lifted his hand and slammed it onto Sam's chest again and again

Sam screamed
Sam struggled to get up
as he
He desperately tried to reach the monster
But his attempts proved fruitless.
After a couple of seconds began to whimper
"I followed the will of my God" Sam whizzed out as if he was having trouble breathing
Erebus stopped in his track but the black smoke in his hand did not subside
Sam
looked weakly at Erebus
"I did what was asked of me"
"And?" Erebus demanded.
"I did what was required"
Erebus slowly raised his hand
"which is what exactly"
Sam wheeze out a few more breaths
"I introduced the dark element in his soul with the hoax of aiding him in his cultivation path to prepare his body as a vessel"
then Sam began to cough violently but before he could catch his breath
Erebus picked him up by pulling on his skull
"You will now answer to me"
Sam hurriedly gave a weak nod
"I am glad that we understand one another"
With a final grunt, Erebus took his hand away.
Sam collapsed onto the ground and cried
Sam was trembling badly and crying
He could barely breathe
Sam betrayal hurt more than it should have I had thought him to be my ally if not my friend
his words
echoed in my head they had confirmed what I already suspected
Sam was a traitor
Sam betrayed me
Sam was a monster
His betrayal left a hollow feeling in my heart
his actions were affecting me in ways I couldn't even comprehend
The monster roared with laughter.
"You ask have failed, failed so miserably..."
It cackled
"I told you that you should not have disobeyed my instructions, and yet here you are."
"The first free soul in no one knows how many millennials unbound by the courts that so graciously rule us and now he is tainted by the dark element"
the monster working with laughter as
he continued to cackle
"The boy shall ours, in the end, he is one of us now the unwanted and the tainted of the Dark"
"You must give me the boy as I am his only hope now"
the monster looked at me and smirked.
“Please, I beg of you. Do what must be done for the sake of everyone else, please. Let me die”
The words came from his lips in a desperate whisper as I stared down at the broken mess of his pale form.
My stomach sank and tears filled my eyes.
Sam at some point had crawled up to me and now was budding my leg tightly as I tried to get away
from this scene as quickly as possible.
"No no, I refuse, No..! No..!" Sam cried out
"I can't let you do this! I won't allow this!"
Silver shouted as he rushed to my side
"Do what must be done, now. Give me the Death boy"
Sam shouted as silver spelt him off and there him away
I made the mistake of looking at the monster
The monster was grinning sinisterly.
"This isn't right!" Sam shouted, his face contorting in rage
"I will end him now," Silver said as he marches towards the blue ghost man
the owl hooked loudly as he banged an invisible surface
cause a loud metallic sound echoed
"I don't want him to die" The monster replied coldly
Then he chuckled lowly
"That is why you must give him to me"
"Out all of you only I know the dark element arts that can now aid him, Even Lord Erebus as the so-called God of darkness can't help him"

the monster let out another booming laughter
I was seriously getting tired of that laugh it was annoying and infuriating
"You need help!" Silver yelled voicing out my thoughts
the creature's gaze was deadly
"If you don't give me the boy he will die."
"NO!" Silver yelled
I couldn't take it anymore.
So I decided to say something
I stepped forward and said in a small voice
"Someone please tell me what is going on"
they all simultaneously turned to me
silver let out a heavy sigh
"This undead piece of shit," he said as he pointed at Sam
"at some point introduced and tainted Dark element in your soul which is bad because the entire universe side not allow the existence of the dark element practitioners they are hunted and killed on sight no exception "
I took in a sharp breath of air as I came to terms with reality
They were going to kill him?
"What...what do you mean?!" I questioned
Silver ignored my question
"How dare you come into my domain and disrespect me!!" the monster boomed
"Your domain? You're a spirit, less than a ghost"
Erebus calmly retorted while waving his palm
"How dare you mongrel on I can save your precious new soul "
"That is not true" another voice boomed
my stomach churn as I felt nauseated and slightly dizzy,
I felt faint
Silver noticed this and grabbed my arms
"Let go of me" I spat
He ignored me
As we walked closer to where the demon was sitting
"Yes bring me the boy only I can help"
suddenly I felt something come up from my stomach and I vomited
a large amount of black blood onto the grass as Silver pulled away from me to look at me.
I coughed profusely as sweat ran down my forehead and I panted and gasped for air,
I couldn't stand for long and I fell to my knees
out of the corner of my eyes, I saw the black blood turning yellow then an orange colour tainted the yellow blood and turned golden
and a figure rise from the pool of blood
in a blink of an eye, a ghost sheet-like figure rose and then morphed into a thin starving golden man
his body was so thin and malnourished that I could see his ribcage poking out of his chest
he wore no clothes but an uttered cloth that covered his crotch and was wrapped around his hips
there were no shoes and his feet looked like they were about to fall apart at any second
his skin was a bright golden colour as his arms were nothing but bone he had a long beard and long hair that hadn't been washed in ages as they had now
dried up into strings
his eyes were a piercing golden colour that resembled the ones of a human but held something else I didn't understand and it creeped me out
the man was sitting crossed and floating in the air
a shiver shook my frame
it was as though a thousand volts ran through my veins and straight to my heart
"YOU ARE A MONGREL!"
the golden man shouted at the monster
"YOU THINK YOU CAN CONTROL THE WORLD?! WE WILL SHOW YOU WHO IS IN CONTROL?!"
Another him appeared beside him
"WE WILL SHOW YOU HOW IMPOSSIBLE IT IS TO CONTROL THE WORLD!"
"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"
"YOU ARE NOT MY MASTER!"
"YOU ARE NOT MY KING!"
"YOU ARE NOT MY SERVANT!"
"YOU ARE NOT MY CHILD!"
"YOU THINK YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE THE BOY"
he then abruptly turned to me
"Oh yes. I forgot to introduce myself."
"Bow down on your knees and thank heaven for I am your saviour the great golden Orchid of the great river"
He said smiling proudly
the golden man nodded sagely
"And thank heaven for I am the master of the world. And as such, I claim the boy, in return for helping him"
"WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!" silver shouted
"HE NEEDS HELP!!"
silver said as he began flexing his hands readying himself for a fight
the golden man turned toward Silver
"Insolent wretch how dare you question the great golden orchid now go me for I am almighty"
Silver clenched his fist and took a step back, but kept his stance firm
with a swift movement, the golden man shot towards Silver and sent him crashing to the floor as he grabbed his throat tightly as the wind was knocked out of him
"YOU SHALL NEVER DARE TO QUESTION ME ANYMORE!"
but before he could do anything more
Erebus blinked right next to the golden man and kicked him away sending him flying into a nearby war
the golden man in a flash got up and pointed at Erebus
"HOW DARE YOU !!"
Erebus stood tall and raised his hand black fog began to form in his both palms
as the golden man charged at Erebus but suddenly stopped midair
The golden man looked over his shoulder and grinned wickedly as he threw two gold orbs of energy
two gold orbs headed straight for Erebus
"DIE!"
I shuddered expecting a huge impact that would have swept me of my feet
when a loud angry hoot sounded and both golden orb and black fog disappeared
the golden man turned toward the owl
and then bowed his head
"Greetings honoured elder it is my great honour to show you my magnificent great self "
he said bowing his head
Erebus scoffed
"No need to show off, he is clearly no match for your superior skills " silver consoling patted Erebus
the golden man smiled knowingly
"My great self won't sully is beautifully self to stoop down to your mongrel level," he said seeming proud starting down at the pair
Before silver and Erebus could retort
The Owl gave a loud hoot
And the golden man turned toward the owl and bowed his head once more
"How?"
"I will simply pour my golden essence into the tainted soul of the human boy and then the dark taint would be cured "
The owl gave another Hoot
"I would never fail"
"HOOT"
"EVEN IF BY SOME MIRACLE I AM UNABLE TO CLEAR THE TAINT MY SPIRIT SHALL MERGE WITH BOY AND CLEAR THE TAINT"
"HOOT"
"WHY WOULDN'T THE HUMAN BOY NOT WANT MY GREAT MIGHTY BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT!"
"HOOT"
"WELL THEN I WILL KILL MU CONSCIOUSNESS BEFORE MERGING "
"HOOT"
"thank you great elder by the blessing of buddha I will be reborn as a bodhi"
Then the golden man turned toward me and graced with a smile
So then boy shall we star
"NO!, YOU FOOLISH PLANT DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING" the monster shouted as a golden aura began to dominate from the golden man
I watched as the golden aura grew stronger and stronger
"STOP!!! STOP!! YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS"
the monster shouted and ran towards me but he ran into invisible sending him rolling backwards
and then the bell began to reappear as the monster shouts and insult began to faint away
and then the golden aura engulfed me and everything went quiet
and a sudden pang of incredible unexplainable pain rang up my spine as
Everything went dark
the last thought that came to my mind was
"I Hate My Life"

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
