《Heart of a tree》Chapter-14 methods {Part 2}

On any other day, I would feel kind of sorry for old Bu and would comfort him on how
everyone had the right to make their own choices
And it's their life so their decisions weren't his fault.
But today was a bad day I just lost my eyesight,
I had lost my only family in this world and now I had the vague feeling that I didn't have a spiritual root.
So when this jackass starts talking about how he abounded his family not once but twice for a selfish reason, I wasn't going even feel sorry for him not to mention he just casually mentioned he had a way for me to cultivate.
So, No hell no I will not feel sorry for him much less be interested in his song story, but I knew enough about human nature to keep quiet and be patient.
Sure enough, the old man continued with his sob story monologue
" Once again someone rejected the choice to cultivate,
I couldn't understand why someone would do that didn't she want to live longer so that she could be with me?" Old Bu said
You selfish jerk
You probably poisoned her opinion on cultivation
not to mention you are a stranger to her
you were not there when she needed you and now there wasn't any real connection between you two
On second thought I wanted to ask him who the fuck raised her?
Control David control yourself
And I stayed quiet
"I couldn't understand
my sons rejected me and now my daughter is rejecting me,
did I make the right choice back then" old Bu continued
Okay asshole if you continue down this thought process I really might say something
"I felt my Dao heart break and decided to go into secluded cultivation to find a new desire to cultivate leaving a spiritual conscious mark on my daughter's body" old Bu once gained sighed
"10 years went by in a flash I couldn't repair my Dao heart then one day the spiritual conscious mark I left on my daughter raised a
warning that she was in grave danger"
"I rushed to her village only to find it in complete ruin, I was a step too late,
I felt anxious for my daughter so I began to track my spiritual conscious mark it led me all across the eastern continent
every time I came close to position they would be gone"
"Try as I may I was always a step too late until I finally found her in the red star sect territory
in a fire emerald sand mining camp dying from the fire poison in the sand"
Old Bu took a pause here I could hear a chocked voice when I heard speak of what happened next
"I got myself caught and sent to the same camp where I was lucky enough to reach her before she died
she asked to take care of her children and husband with her dying breath"
"The bastards of the red star sect had sealed my gold core leaving me powerless as a mortal,
Advertisement
so even though I promised her I couldn't do much
the red star sect had already put slave seals on them so they couldn't cultivate and I only had my spiritual sense left,
For over 250 years I have watched over them as they grew and had their own families but now my life span is near exhaustion and I'm about to sit down"
Old by said with a sobbing voice
Now I felt sorry for the man, but more questions popped into my mind most prominent of them
what the fuck could I do for him?
I began to think all the ways I can help him what he wanted of me
" I know what you are thinking, " old Bu said
"You do?" I asked astonished by this fact
"That 'what can I do ?' " old Bu said
Okay that was impressive
" let me tell you child in the entire camp you are the only one without a slave seal," old Bu said
"I am ?" I asked again
I hadn't thought about if they
had me sealed as a slave
"No, you aren't a slave but neither can you cultivate
you have damaged spiritual roots you're being alive and healthy itself is no less than a miracle" old Bu said
Wait what I had to ask before this guy moved on
"I have damaged spiritual roots?" I asked
"Yes"
"How did they get damaged?" I continued to inquire
" I wouldn't know but if I have to guess it was done when you were in the womb"
MOTHERFUCkER¡!!!!!!!!
So, was my mother on this eyes stealing shit?
did granny Yu know ?
All sorts of questioned formed in my head I wanted answers but there was none to be found
Old Bu had given me a lot to think about but is sure as shit made me angrier rather than inquisitive
I was shaking with rage
" Are you alright child?" Old Bu asked
"Yes senior Bu, junior is just angry" I replayed
" Good, anger will aid you well" old by said with a chuckle
" How can this junior aid senior," I asked wanting to get back on topic
"You can help me by growing strong and cultivating you see child,
the red star sect thought with your damaged roots you can't cultivate and won't live enough to have children
leaving any future threat to the sect
The methods I found for cultivation without spiritual roots for my daughter will be taught to you
And once you reach a certain stage I will ask something of you as payment" old Bu
Fucking hell when did this old man notice my damaged spiritual roots when did he form this plan was the foreman story real or was it a trick to lure into this plan
I was outraged this old man was tricking an innocent sweet young child into becoming his thug
" Do you agree child?" Old Bu questioned
Even though I was angry at this old man I couldn't blame him not to mention this was
Advertisement
a fair deal by any standard
So yeah I agree with this old man and I had seen enough tv and read enough books and stories to know what to do next
I got on my knees and kowtowed by banging my head on the soft ground three times
" Disciple has seen Master"
I heard old Bu starting to laugh
" You won't be my true disciple until you gain my complete inheritance but don't worry my named disciple I will give you a chance to do so?
I just kowtowed again
" Disciple will live up to master's expectations" I shouted
I just wanted strength to get some answers
" Good disciple now listen to me
I know that you are now blind but I can't heal that kind of injury
Only nascent divinity realm cultivators can heal such an injury" Master Bu said
I was sad at that but I also became hopefully to regain my sight
"But I have a technique called heavens eye which would elevate your senses to divine sense allowing you to sense your surroundings"
I love this guy he was just coming here and giving me all kinds of good news
Any resentment towards this master Bu in my heart melted away, I was truly accepting him as my master
" Disciple is very grateful," I said truly dealing grateful.
" that will have to be a later date
when you have gained some attainment in awakening your spiritual sense
.For now, listen closely the three methods I found are not easy to practise
not to mention they aren't mainstream that would disallow you to have any normal connection with the cultivation society" Master Bu explained
I nodded I understood this much I was freak bot to mention if the red star sect guys found out I could cultivate they will kill me in a second
" The first technique I found in a ruin of an ancient sect, in this technique it is explained that any kind of root is a bridge connecting the soul body and spirit
That means the roots are literally the roots of life, in essence, every single living being has a root
And some of these roots gain certain spirituality allowing the being possessing such roots to cultivate
The senior who formed this technique articulated that if a mortal body is trained and transformed using a set of exercises the root of life gains spirituality and becomes the primordial root
The senior's note tells that the more thermal the primordial root higher the talent like if the awaken root is in the shape of stone then it low-grade root but if the root is shaped like a mountain then it is a high-grade root"
master Bu told me about this primordial technique was an ancient technique and how a person cultivating this technique could choose one of their path strength, magical power and heavenly power and how he thought because of this limitation this technique was abandoned and how he only had the technique till gold core
.I was mesmerised by the information next he told me about the soul cultivation
The senior who created this technique was called Meng Zhang, this senior thought all beings are created equal because all beings had a soul
And how these souls were a part of the will of the entire universe and have spirituality
but the soul spirits are covered in dust and hence unable to sense spiritual energy
And as long you sweep away the dust the practitioner can sense the spiritual energy of the universe and embark on the path of spiritual practice
Master Bu further explained that this practice was to transferor the body using the soul root but master Meng Zhang found a flaw that after nascent soul the way they were broken as he couldn't understand how to learn absurd the world law Daos to reach divinity to compensate this he started to cultivate his mind and opened his sea of knowledge but was to late to uncover the truth of Dao laws.
Master Bu said that both confucianism and martial artist have elements of senior Meng Zhang practice
Believing he was killed by greedy people covering his technique
Even though this method was flawed I still wanted to try it
The third method was created by a young boy called Fang Dang who according to master Meng was a mortal who was forced to worship a deity by practitioners who use belief as a way to cultivate energies
Fang Dang hated the gods as they had condemned his entire family he was not convinced to still worship such a deity
.so he rebelled and with heaven-defying, luck found a way to practise he called itself a belief
He by chance found that by living in himself and worshipping himself he could practice self-improvement and with that level of observation he started to realise the way (Dao) of life and death and awaken Dao spirit allowing him to in ark on the long path of practices
I was in awe of all these people who went against the norm and succeed in finding a path to practice when all odds
I made a promise to myself that no matter what I will use these methods to practise
To move forward to get revenge on those people who killed my granny Yu and get some answers
I tightly held the ring of granny Yu
Looser David wang and a helpless Liu Wang we're dead I was a new man
I wanted to rename myself but already gave master Bu the name David
So I will be David for the name my past life father gave me and mountain( Chinese word Shan) for what kind of person I wanted to become
I will not be a Nobody in this new life and to do so I needed these methods
In the end, Master Bu asked me to choose
And I chose All three

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
