《Testament of Ezra》14.Helping Voice

His eyes were closed. It felt painful to move any part of his body. He didn’t even feel like breathing. All he could feel was the damp feeling of the blood running from whatever part of his body.
The back was laid flat on the ground. Yet it’s center felt as if it was punctured by a pointy stone.
His hands were frozen in place.
Legs were both apart. One possibly with a broken bone.
And his head. Arch upward due to the pain it would inflict by lying flat.
The only thing moving was Ezra’s mana, and anothers. He was very close to that other strong power Anabelle spoke of. In times like this he had a simple solution. A small healing spell he could use in much less dire situations like this. He couldn’t fix his drastic injuries, yet could get him back to his feet. The fight against that monster managed to keep his mana outtake to a low.
He cast the spell, his body was illuminated by the spell's light. He started feeling better, but was still unable to move. He casted again. Now his hands were able to move. He clenched them into fist. He casted again. Now his head could lay flat. He casted again. His legs jolted as if stepped on unexpectedly. He casted again. His eyes jumped open. He could see directly up fro, he fell. It was pitch black, as if there was no hole. He couldn’t even see the walls. The area was completely dark. He couldn’t see anything around him. He casted the spell one last time. Now his body allowed for subtle yet effective movement.
He returned to his feet. Yet couldn’t stay up straight.
“Where’s my sword?” Ezra asked immediately. He lifted one of his hands before him, and lit a flame to illuminate the area around him. He could see just slightly ahead of him. The range of it’s light was not much. He could make the fire much larger, however his body was in no state to do so. So he had to do something else. He dropped to his knees and placed his hand on the ground. The flame left his body and started to create a ring around him. “That should be better.”
He started to slowly move his heavy body around, the fire ring traced him. “Gotta get out of here.” He started moving into a straight line, it was the only thing that didn’t put so much strain on him. The light kept him aware of what was in front of him.

An object came into the field of the light. He scooted closer quickly, and found his trusty sword.
“Good. Now to find a way out of here.” Now that he was re-equipped. He continued forward. Yet was stopped immediately. For a giant wall was before him. He became confused and questioned how it could be here even if he didn’t see them before. His hand reached out to grab the wall. It’s surface felt similar to skin. “What? What is this?” As his hand was on it, he felt an exceptional amount of mana. He jolted his hand back, as the power was too much for him. “It’s giving off mana. Is this what Anabelle was talking about?
He tried to rationalize just the scope of this creature's power. It was far too much for him to be around. The swordsman took the best course of action for the moment. Ignoring it and looking for a way out. However the mana felt to be coming from all around him. This being had to be massive in size. He took to tracing it around, and following where it’s body started or ended. His hand kept on it’s smooth yet dense skin. It began moving inwards.
“Gonna need more light.” He took a risk and removed the fire ring off the ground. It morphed itself into a sphere of fire that was the length of Ezra. Now he could see much more more clearly, and the first thing that came to view. Was the creature's finger. It was the middle finger. Just one of 5 of its enormous appendages. “What the hell?” He moved the miniature sun around to grasp it just a little more. The creature's arm was now in full few, or part of it was. Ezra was at a lost for words. He needed to leave unless face the wrath of this unimaginable beast. He turned around and started moving back to where he was. The sphere remained before him. He was now moving much more quickly. The ball quickly made him aware of what was to come. He stopped completely. For another set of fingers were before him once again.
“Huh? Another hand?” He turned towards the midway point of the two hands. He pushed the fire away more and more, until he saw a large mass of the beast skin. It was the space between the two hands. Yet it was farther away. For it’s arms had a great length. Ezra now understood just the insane measure of this thing’s size. “If it’s this big. Perhaps it won't be irritated if I climb on it. Actually…..If this is the space between its arms. Then i could follow it up to it’s head, or down to it’s legs. It might have some humanoid shape if that’s even a possibility. I’ll have to light the whole cave if I want to see anything.” His options were laid out. His body was slowly starting to come back together, while not being entirely healed. Then he remembered.

“Wait. Where I fell.” He moved back to where he woke up. “I fell here. Mybody was placed vertically on this monster. My head was also this way when I fell.” The ball of fire rose up horizontally from where he landed. It continued to rise, yet felt like it would never reach the top. A whole minute passed, and the ball still never got any closer to the hole from whence he came. “God dammit. Alright whatever. The back of my head was facing away from the exit of where we killed that jewel monster. I didn’t hit anything on the way down. Which means that my exit…” he gazed back to the creature. “On the other side of this thing. No time to waste. I have to get these wounds treated.” Ezra started climbing the monster's body. He took it slow. Still unsure if it would become hostile to him. Each grab of its skin added more to Ezra’s mental image of it. Once reaching the top. He made the flame fly straight before him. A straight walk was ready for him.
“Good. I better keep healing myself so i can move quickly.” Ezra took very careful steps across the beast body. His foot would lightly sink into its skin, making him feel uneasy and throwing him off balance. “Okay. This should be simple.”
“You.” Ezra stopped immediately. His arms stopped almost instantly from reaching to his back. He silently cried in pain. “Why have you distrubed me?”
The voice spoke within his thoughts.
“Who are you?” Ezra questioned.
“That is not something I should tell you. It is something you must see.” Ezra was now crouched down on his knees. His arms were starting to bleed from within. A decision of trying to defend himself in this state was worthy enough to make him a fool. “You are in pain. Why?”
“Help….me.” Ezra, now lying on the creature, struggles to speak. His arm was beginning to change color from his injury.
“You require help?” The voice spoke once again. Ezra was beginning to care less of the situation and just wished to be healed. He felt his vision fading, and drifted back into his sleep once again. “Very well. May we soon meet again.”
Local men walk through unsuspecting woods. Each were garbed naturally. Only a large bell was hanging around their waist sides. They were out gathering herbs and wood and puttingthem in their wagon.
“Looks like we got enough. Should we head further in?”
“Hmm….we could use some more whitesea herb. I’ll go grab some. You wait here.” One man took off into the woods. He captured every whitesea herb he came across. The herb itself was used both as a medicine to treat burns, and to also create spices for food. The farmers bag was starting to fill, and he began to head back. Until he noticed one last bush filled with whitesea. “Eh. Whatever.” He took his knife and cut them off and stored them for later use. There just existed one within the bushel. He dug his hand into it, yet didn’t touch a herb, but a boot. He jumped back. Then slowly approached the bushes again slowly with his knife raised.
The farmer gasped. He wondered his eyes didn’t notice before, a young man, strong red hair, a massive sword on his back, and his arms dark red from blood and broken bones. The farmer rang his bell 4 times. Signalling his companion of a person in need. The other brough the wagon. He witnessed Ezra’s body and they lifted him into the wagon, and started to hastley return to their village. They tread the already well made path out of the woods and to their home. A village that existed to the side of Mount Culion. Surrounded by large trees and the mountain itself. The waters were populated by giant rocks protruding out the sea. Not allowing anything to come in, or get out. A large bell sat at its center, and most of the homes took this shape. Ezra’s eyes opened just slightly. He was being brought to the hidden village of Bells. Sarabell.
