There aren’t any empty tables so I ask a cloaked person that looks like an adventurer if I can sit at that table.

As we are talking to each other, both of our food arrives. The toasted bread has the scent of garlic and butter, the eggs are perfectly cooked so that the yolk is still runny, and the ham was soft and wasn’t excessively salty.

I finish my meal and I decide that I should head to work.

As I leave, I hear

Wait, I didn’t get your name, my name is Melina! (Melina)

My name is Mevirs! It is very nice to meet you! I hope we meet again! (Mevirs)

We exchange our goodbyes and I head to the monster stables.

{Monster Stables}

I do my chores of feeding and playing with the monsters. The Caelups, as always, are very playful with me. The Poultrigni are no longer violent as before, but are still wary of me. The Aquacertas give a look at me and return to swimming in the pond or playing in the mud, ignoring me.

Once I was done, I decided to visit the Ronts Manor and visit Adaline.

Wow. That's all I can say, the place is huge!!!

The large gate opens and large burly men rush out trying to force me to leave.

Stop! I’m trying to visit Adaline! (Mevirs)

Shut up! A lot of people have come to visit Adaline, but we received orders from Adaline herself to not let any of you people in! (Guard 1)

But Adaline is my friend! She asked me to visit her house! (Mevirs)

As they are pushing me, I hear a voice.

We are sorry young mistress!!! We did not know that this was the Mevirs you were talking about! (Guards)

It’s fine, at least you guys didn’t do anything to hurt him, or you all would be dead! (Adaline)

Hi Mevirs! I-I’m sorry the guards didn’t recognize you. I’m glad you could make time to come! (Adaline)

Wow. This place is really large, I’m sure I would get lost in here if Adaline wasn’t guiding me. As we walk up some stairs, a large man yells at us.

ADALINE!! Who is this boy that you have brought home? (Adaline’s father)

This is my friend Mevirs, I was just bringing him to my room so we can talk. (Adaline)

I won’t allow such a thing!!! (Adaline’s father)

What!?!? This guy is scary!

He must take a shower first since he is so dirty!! Maids bring this child to the baths and help him wash, also bring him some new clothes to wear! (Adaline’s father)

As Adaline’s father yells out, 2 maids rush out from somewhere within the house and drag me to the baths. All I can see is Adaline face palming.

{Baths, Ronts Manor}

As we walk into the baths, the maids rip off my clothes and guide me further in. They tell me to sit down while they scrub me clean.

Oooowwwwhhhhh!!! Why are they scrubbing so hard!?!? It actually hurts! After a while they are finally done, and they guide me to a large heated pool of water. This is like an indoor hot springs!

The 2 maids tell me that I can head into the hot springs and rest. They warned me if I stay too long I might become dizzy and light headed.

I head into the water.

OOoooohhhhh! (Mevirs)

It is so nice and hot. I stayed in the water and relaxed, focusing on nothing, nothing on my mind.

It seems I lost track of time, and fell asleep. As I wake up, I notice someone else is also in the hot springs.

Helloo? Who’s there? (Mevirs)

M-Mevirs, i-it’s me, Adaline (Adaline)

ADALINE!! W-what are you doing here?!?! (Mevirs)

M-My father said I should come here and join you. (Adaline)

What? Why would he do that? (Mevirs)

Well I came so I could get to know you more. So Mevirs, was the Spirit Pill able to help you break into (Low) Spirit Disciple yet? (Adaline)

Yes, I actually broke through a couple days ago, it just that since yesterday, I’ve found a job at the Monster Stables. (Mevirs)

Adaline gets out of the water and wraps a towel around herself, and exits the baths.

I follow suit, I get out of the water and dry myself off with a towel. It seems that the maids have prepared some clothes for me.

The shirt is dark blue and is incredibly soft. The pants are dark grey and are not too tight and not baggy, it also have a rough look on the outside. A leather belt is also given so that the pants can be tightened. There is also black jacket that has a hood. There are also a pair of black tactical boots.

I put on my pants and belt, then I went and put on my shirt and jacket. I kept the hood off my head because it would probably be very rude.

Hello Mevirs, please join us for lunch. (Adaline’s father)

I sit down on a open chair that is next to Adaline.

Today we will be having a garden sandwich, made up of white bread, lettuce, tomatoes, slices of turkey, and mayonnaise. (Chef)

Multiple waiters come out from the kitchen bringing multiple plates. Wow! The sandwich looks incredibly delicious!

So Mevirs, I’m glad that you’re going to school with Adaline, I think she would’ve been really lonely since she doesn’t have much friends. (Adaline’s father)

DAD!! I-I do have s-some friends… (Adaline)

Uhm… I haven’t decided to go to school yet, I still need my boss’ consent. (Mevirs)

Ohh… I think you should decide quickly since Adaline is leaving tomorrow morning. (Adaline’s father)

If you decide to come with her and you’ve gotten consent, please come by here again by nightfall. (Adaline’s father)

Okay! I will surely do so! (Mevirs)

We all finish up our food, and I excuse myself, since I will soon need to work at the Monster Stables.
