"I...." Before Alex could even reply Ralph bombarded him. With another scolding.

"I thought I told you you couldn't join us till you reached level 3."

"That's what I wanted to tell you I already reaches level three." Alex pinched the skin between his brows.

Ralph's face seemed to have lightened up a bit after Alex said those words.

He opened his mouth to say something but before he could, Tammie came running to them panting profusely.

"What happened?"

"He escaped,"

Tammie handed the tablet in her hands to ruff revealing a security footage.

It showed the bearded man on seated at a corner leaning against the glass.

Then suddenly the footage went blank and by the time it came back on he had disappeared.

Ralph had a calm expression on his face when he saw the footage.

"As expected." he, said thoughtfully.

"It's nothing, I'll explain latter. Have you put the kid in the interrogation room?" Ralph quickly changed the topic.

"Ah, yes. I did."

"Perfect then, let's start."

Ralph looked at Alex; "Go home. We'll talk latter okay."

Without further notice Ralph left with Tammie.

"Your home back late."David, who sat by the couch said when he saw Alex come in.

"I was out with Ralph. I already had something to eat outside. I'll be heading to my room now."

Alex went to his room and took and took a shower then went to bed.

"Good morning bro." Calvin greeted with an excited expression as he took his seat.

"What's the occasion. Why are you excited?"Alex asked bemused by Calvin's expression.

" No its nothing. Am just so happy we're done with the exams."

"Okay." Alex said not intending to drag the topic any longer.

The lessons didn't take that long and the funniest to Alex was that hot substitute teacher's lesson.

The girls weren't paying any attention. All they did was stare mindlessly like zombies.

"Hey Alex, Calvin." Abigail catching up to them.

The three walked around the football ground and found themselves where to sit on the pavilion.

"OH would you look at time, I should be heading home now." Calvin said as he stood up to leave.

Clearly excited to get back home.

"Oh wait, we'll come with you." Abigail said carrying her bag as she stood up.

They proceeded to the exit but just as they 10 meters away.

Three burly boys surrounded them.

"OH hey." one of them said with a mocking expression.

"Are you heading home now?" he asked, "Here let me carry your bag." he stretched out his hand to Alex's bag and tried to snatch it from him.

"No" Alex pulled himself back in defense.

Abigail and Calvin were all getting nervous with the situation at hand.

Cal was already shaking with fear.

"Thank you, but we can handle. So can you please let us go." Abigail said flashing her cute eyes at the bully in front of her.

"Oh.... So that's how it is huh? Is he that special yo you. What do you like from a twerp like him." the boy said in utter disgust throwing Alex hateful glances.

"But you got it all wrong. We just want to help you out okay."

"No thank you but we don't need your help." Alex said.

This clearly angered the three boys.

They put away their pretence and turned on some gloomy face hateful faces.

They then laughed like mad men as they surrounded Alex.

Abigail and Calvin panicked at the sight of this.

" Oh come on boys we don't have to be like this... Okay if you let us go, here's a hundred bucks." She tries to get things under control as she pulled out a note from her bag.

"Thank you but no thank you." one of the boys said and immediately a fist landed on Alex's jaw quickly throwing him to the ground.

And without further notice, another fist was thrown at him immediately after that one of the boys held Alex by his arms behind his back as his friends dealt punches to Alex's stomach.

"No no.. Stop that." Calvin said in a panicked tone.

"Help help. Some body help." Abigail's panicked voice filled the atmosphere.

Luckily, the guards by the exit heard her plea and came running to help.

"Hey! stop that." One of the guards yelled.

"We'll meet again pretty boy." the three bullies said with smirks on their faces and left.

But it was already late, Alex had suffered a couple of bruises.

"Hey kid. Are you okay?"the guard asked helping Alex up along with Calvin.

"Yeah I'm fine," Alex winced as the bruise on his lip stang.

"Those damn bastards."

"You need to get your wounds checked." Calvin said.

"Lets take you to the school nurse okay."

"No need for that, my mom is a doctor."

"But..."

"It's okay Abigail. Am fine." Alex said revealing a calm smile.

Abigail and Calvin didn't complain any longer and decided to listen to Alex.

When Alex reached home he cleaned up his bruises and took a bath and changed into a clean set of clothes.

He headed to the living room after that and relaxed watching some TV.

"Yo Alex." David greeted as he walked Alex and sat right next to him.

"So where have you been.?" Alex asked.

"Just been chilling with my hommies." David shifted his gaze from the TV and looked at Alex, "Woah! What happened to you?"he asked when he saw Alex's burst lip.

" It's nothing just got into a fight. "

" So you've started fighting at school boy. " David said pretending to scold him.

David snatched the remote out of Alex's hand and tried to change the channel;"Hey give that back."

He stretched out his arm preventing Alex from reaching for the it; "Ah ah... You not getting this."

"Fine then."Alex pretended to be angry.

He turned on his circrate bracelet and browses through some tik tok.

After 5 minutes of minding their own business.

Something on the TV pulled his attention.

"The reason for the sudden power outage yesterday revealed." was written at the bottom of the screen.

It was a footage of the fight that took place at the power plant.

What was on the screen was like a scene from a movie only that it happened in actual life.

"There you have it folks. This footage was taken by one of the power plant security guards yesterday night. He claims he cleaning his station room when he noticed weird sparks outside and decided to check it out." the television host said.

"Interesting." David said as he nodded his head.

"Joining us tonight, Dr. Hudson from Pex Corp. We're to have you here with us today doctor." the host shifted his gaze to Hudson who sat opposite him, "Pleasure to be here."

"Ahh....yes I've carried out studies about these metas.

Hudson chuckled abut before answering;" I wouldn't say for sure but we'll see what they can do. Thank you. "

David grew bored and changes the channel raising questions in Alex.

"Hey why did you change that?"

"I grew bored." Davis answered rhetorically.

"Come on, you must be jealous of metas." Alex laughed mocking him.

Their parents arrived shortly after that.

While at dinner David said he would be heading out and that he had a date.

Of which his parents didn't object.

After dinner, Alex headed to his room and prepared to sleep.
