He picked up the yellow bracelets and immediately a notification popped in on his phone.
Message from Uncle Ruff: "Delivered. enjoy."
Alex packed the bracelets in his bag and went to school early as usual.
Alex read his book in the meantime until Calvin came to school the the two chatted a bit as they waited for the teacher to enter class.
Alex, Calvin, and Abigail sat at a bench together as they had their lunch.
Calvin seemed to be thinking of something as Abigail and Alex chatted.
"Bro... That was unusual of McCoy to just let go of you like that," he said still remembering the scene the day before.
"Haha. I just got lucky," said Alex with a smile.
Calvin nodded his head in approval; "Yeah you were indeed lucky."
They finished their lunch and continued chatting as they waited for the bell to ring again.
The bell rang and everyone was now headed to class.
Calvin was the first one to leave and Abigail and Alex followed behind him.
"Hey, Abigail. Wait up." Alex said as he got up from the bench to approach Abigail who was heading to class.
He reached into his pockets, "I have something for you."
Abigail gasped I'm shock putting her hand over her mouth when she saw what Alex pulled out of his pocket.
It was a yellow circrate bracelet.
"Where did you get that from?" she asked still surprised.
"Well, my uncle works at Pex Corp. So he's the one that got them for me." Alex lied.
"Wow. Best uncle ever." He grabbed the circrate bracelet that Alex gave her and marveled at it.
"We are gonna be late for class. We better hurry." Alex reminded.
Abigail put the bracelet in her pocket, "Oh yeah."

Alex decided to give the circrate bracelet to Abigail when Calvin wasn't around because he would make a big deal out of it and would complain why Alex never got him one.
Then he would make assumptions that Alex was now dating Abigail.
The school's principal visited their class that day which was unusual.
"Mr. Edward fell sick. So we brought in a substitute to fill in for him until he gets better. Mr. Damien."
A man wearing a suit entered the class with a briefcase.
He has shoulder-length hair with blue eyes.
Those well-defined Jaws made him a sight to behold.
" Hello. Am Damien Valentino. I'll be your substitute teacher. "he greeted the class with a smile showing his perfect white teeth.
The Principal left the class to the substitute after that.
Some girls at the back row had already started admiring him.
" Okay. Which topic did you do last with Mr. Edward," he asked pulling out his laptop and connecting it to the interactive whiteboard and projector.
Debbie, who was next to where the teacher was operating his laptop from said, "Syntaxes sir."
"Oh, that's perfect. What's your name." Mr. Damien said putting in his signature smile again.
Debbie blushed when she was asked her name. "Debbie."
"Wonderful name Debbie." he then focused on the laptop in front of him and opened up the smart board software that runs with the interactive whiteboard.
He moved to the smartboard and picked up a pen and wrote on the board.
When Alex saw Mr. Valentino step into the class, he looked familiar but he couldn't tell where he saw him from.
And during the lesson, he kept throwing glances at Alex from time to time.
The bell rang and the lesson and everyone packed their books as they prepared to head back home.

Alex was organizing his locker when Abigail approached him already wearing the circrate bracelet he gifted her earlier.
"Thanks, Alex. I really like it. Thanks so much. Thank you." she squealed in excitement.
"It's no big deal. Your welcome." he smiled.
"Are you headed to the field today?" asked Abigail.
"No. Not really I'm going back home after this." Alex shook his head.
Abigail was a little disappointed but she squeezed out a smile. "Alright, then I'll be heading for cheerleading."
"Have fun."
Alex walked with Calvin along the boulevard as they talked about the new teacher.
He bid Calvin farewell and entered his house.
Alex had a quick bath and changed to a new set of clothes.
He removed the circrate bracelet from his backpack and decided to try it on.
Alex sat on his bed as he strapped the bracelet on.
He pressed the on button at the side of the bracelet and it emitted a blue light as it booted on.
A notification bubble projected onto Alex's hand.
"Please insert a sim card."
Alex quickly got out his phone and removed the sim card from it. "Sorry old friend you've been with me for so long but I've found someone better," Alex said to his phone with an exaggerated saddened look.
He inserted the sim card into a slot next to the power button.
And the projection changed.
"Registering sim card..."
"Activated."
And a phone's screen magically displayed on Alex's arm.
It felt so real that Alex almost thought a phone was glued to his arm. Only that the screen weighed nothing.
Alex tapped on his skin and the Play store opened up.
He downloaded his favorite apps and logged in to them.
He opened up his WhatsApp and immediately he received a notification from an unknown number.
But this time he knew who sent him a message by simply looking at her display picture.
It was Abigail. It looks like she had already started using the bracelet.
Message from Abigail: "Thank you again."
Alex tapped on the chat and replied and went on to explore the bracelet.
The bracelet lit up twice indicating a new notification had been sent.
He tapped the top of the bracelet and uncle Ruff's chat was opened up.
"So how is it?"
"It's great. Better than I had expected," he replied
After an hour, Alex was called downstairs for dinner.
"Your brother will be here tomorrow," said Henry putting done the fork on an empty plate.
"That great dad." Alex relied squeezing out a simple smile.
Alex headed back to his room, still excited about the Circrate bracelet.
He browsed about telepathy and telekinesis and spent some time trying to learn them.
But no matter how hard it tried it never worked.
He gave up and decided to revise his book for exams on Monday.
The bracelet lit up twice with a chirping sound.
Alex tapped the bracelet and it displayed a chat screen with an unknown number.
"Alex Alex Alex." was displayed in the chat bubble.
Alex tried calling the number but it was turned off.
But the next moment the number called him again and hang up.
"Alright that's very creepy." he thought to himself.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
