Crows outside the cottage on a tree flew away after a loud bang of a bullet being shot filled the atmosphere.
Alex snapped back to the real world still hanging in the air.
"Stop it, McCoy," he said.
And the unexpected happened.
McCoy slowly lowered Alex to the ground and left without saying another word.
The bell rang immediately after that and the lessons resumed.
"So where are we going?" asked Alex looking at his uncle walking beside him.
"You'll see." Ruff simply said with a smile.
Alex placed his hands in his leather jacket pockets and waited patiently to arrive where his uncle wanted to take him.
Alex creased his brows in confusion as his uncle walked ahead of him and entered an alley.
He finally caught up with him and found him standing at a dead end.
"Is this where you wanted to bring me?" asked Alex sarcastically.
A sound of a trash can falling could be heard and shortly after that, a cat mewed as it came out of it.
Alex shifted his gaze at where the sound came from only to see trash on the floor and a cat running away after seeing him.
He ignored it and focuses on his uncle again.
"Yep," Uncle Ruff said then he held Alex's hand.
He walked inside the wall holding Alex's hand.
Alex's Jaws dropped upon seeing the place he just entered along with his uncle.
It was nearly organized and had a bunch of machines.
The lights on the roof spread all over the room.
Ruff led the way into a corridor and entered a control room.
Alex looked at two people in front of him.
A lady stroking her chin and looking through a glass seeing what was going on the other side.

And man working a computer as he switched glances between the screen in front of him and the test room through the glass window.
Uncle Ruff walked to them; "Alvin, Tammie."
They turned around to see who just came into the room.
"Ruff..." said the computer guy with a smile.
Then he looked at the person behind him.
"And... He is?" he asked.
"Oh, that's my nephew, Alex." Ruff folded his arms over his chest.
Tammie walked to Alex and said hello to him.
"And why did you bring him here?" she asked Ruff with a disapproving look.
"About that... He has started showing signs of mutation. So uhh. Yep." Ruff didn't know what to say next so he just stopped there.
Tammie blinked twice as she looked at Ruff bemused; "So...? That's why you brought him here?"
"Just ran tests on him okay. Let's see which mutations he got."
Tammie let out a sigh and simply gave in to Ruff's request.
"Alright champ, follow me," Tammie said leading the way into a different room.
Alex marveled at the equipment in the room.
Tammie led Alex to a cylindrical machine; "Stand here."
Alex stepped up on the cylindrical machine and it started rotating around immediately.
Alex's sight shifted from Tammie who was operating the computer to the room he was in every time it rotated.
"There. Perfect." Tammie said walking to Alex and the machine stopped.
Alex stepped off gently and asked, "What next?"
Tammie threw Alex a slight smile as she held up a tablet. She was shocked after seeing the results on the screen.
"You're a blue," she said looking up at Alex.
Alex creased his brows in confusion, "What does that mean? "
Tammie put the tablet on a table next to her with a little excitement.

"Look. We categorize mutations based on color..." before she could complete the sentence, Alvin and Ruff stepped into the room.
"What is his color?" asked Ruff.
"He is a blue. And the possible mutations are telekinesis and telepathy."
Tammie had a strange look on her face but it only lasted a second and was quickly replaced with a gentle smile.
"As expected," Ruff said simply.
Alex got excited after hearing Tammie say telekinesis.
He already knew about telepathy but it didn't help him that much except cheat examinations.
And he couldn't do it on command, it list happened.
"Wait? Telekinesis!" exclaimed Alex excitedly.
"Yes champ," said Tammie who was now sitting at the table.
Ruff, who was leaning OK a wall, with his arms crossed over his chest said, "I think it's re for you to head back home now."
"Why? Can't you let him stay a little longer?" said Alvin disappointed.
"Nope. He has to go now." Ruff then looked at his nephew, "I'll take you home."
Before Alex could say a word, he was already outside his house.
He looked at his uncle beside him.
He had strange blue sparks in his eyes and body.
"Does that always happen?" he asked as he marveled at the sparks.
Ruff looked at the lightning sparks that appeared and disappeared on his hands.
"Oh, this. Not always... And if it does it stops after 5 seconds."
And the sparks indeed stopped after five seconds and uncle Ruff now looked normal.
"See you, tomorrow kid," he said and the next moment the sparks started again and he disappeared.
"So cool!" exclaimed Alex then turned to open the door.
"Your back late Alex," said Henry who sat pm the couch watching some TV.
"I know dad. I was just with uncle."
Henry raised the remote to change the channel; "Alright then... Dinner will be ready soon."
They had their dinner and Alex was now in his room reading a book.
A notification sounded on Alex's phone on his bed.
He closed the book he was reading, walked to his bed, and picked up the phone.
"Good night kid" the notification was from uncle Ruff.
He opened up the chat and replied good night back.
But then a thought crossed his mind.
"Hey, uncle can you get me two circrate bracelets."
It didn't take long before he received a reply.
"Well, we make our own circrate bracelets but ours are modified so...I'll see if I can steal some for you from Pex Corp."
"What? You're going to steal them!" Alex sent a text with a shocked emoji.
"Well yeah. They won't see me anyway. They won't even notice it. It will happen in a blink of an eye."
"Oh okay. Bye"
Alex had a bath and went to sleep.
"Please don't kill me." ranted Alex in his sleep as he shook his head like he was having a nightmare.
Alex sat up immediately as his chest bobbed up and down gasping for air.
He breathed heavily as cold sweat escaped his forehead.
He sat in his bed, his eyes void of any emotions.
After two minutes, he snapped out of it and went for a hot shower.
Alex put on his clothes and sneakers.
As he picked up his backpack, he noticed two yellow bracelets on his study table.

Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
