《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 54: Great War

"Let's find somewhere else to talk" the scorpion said.
The white scorpion let out a loud screech that was heard throughout the entire battlefield. In an instant, another white scorpion appeared in front of them but the color of this one was a bit paler and it was smaller than the former.
"Pay respects to your seniors" The white scorpion ordered the pale white scorpion that just arrived.
The pale white scorpion looked at Wang Tian and disdain flashed through its eyes but when it looked at Senior Golem, it shivered in fear and quickly issued a deep bow. It didn't understand why he felt such a powerful pressure from such a measly middle aged man. But all beings have an instinctive fear over the unknown, so it didn't dare to look at Senior Golem even more and just did as what he was told. It didn't want to offend such a monstrous figure. It thought to himself that why would such an entity seem so normal and simple yet give him a very frightening and terrible pressure that it made him suffocate?
After it bowed towards Wang Tian and Senior Golem, it stood there in a daze. It didn't dare move so it just stood there trying to remain as calm as possible. "You shall take charge on this battlefield for now." the white scorpion said as it looked at the pale white scorpion. The pale white scorpion naturally nodded and agreed. This was actually a very good opportunity. It wasn't really said but the white scorpion could be labeled as the general of the army and being appointed to take control of the battlefield by someone of high status was very honorable. It granted him an opportunity to show off his skill, further giving him the opportunity to advance in ranks and gain more cultivation resources.
Wang Tian looked at the scene play out. He was actually astonished to see that the army of beasts were much more orderly than most of them had thought. I mean, they had someone taking charge of the fighting while the human race did not. Frankly, the group of humans in this war were all just half-baked experts that were restlessly trying to work together or perhaps, survive. Maybe even curry favor from the city mayor. They were fighting because they somehow weren't given a chance not to fight and that will add up to the fact that the city has issued that there were rewards for how many you killed. Who would be able to resist such temptation? They were all infected with the disease called,
"Hey ain't it just my life? Those are treasures and wealth!"
"Sorry for making you both wait" the white scorpion said while the pale white scorpion disappeared into the battlefield. The white scorpion looked at Senior Golem and he broke out into cold sweat when he noticed that annoyed expression. However in reality, this was just his fear getting the best of him as Senior Golem's expression was quite plain. He has lived for millions of years making his patience very long, it didn't bother his young master that they had to wait for a few moments so it naturally didn't bother him too.

Wang Tian waved his hand and said, "It's no problem."
He then looked at Senior Golem and said, "Senior, can you take us to a quiet place?"
Senior Golem looked at him and said, "You're underestimating me too much."
Wang Tian and the white scorpion didn't understand but then they heard Senior Golem flick his finger.
In an insant, the whole battlefield shook. A hundred kilometers near the three of them emitted sounds of rocks forming as it took only a few breaths for a mansion to be made. This mansion was very luxurious. But it was made out of the ground that they stood upon. Just as the mansion was being built, there was something else happening. The death of countless experts shook the battlefield. They were all crushed by the mysterious mansion that appeared out of nowhere. Be it humans or beasts, they all died successively. After they died, their bodies disappeared.
"Hey what's that?" a cultivator at the peak of Wangxian Adept realm cried out and pointed.
The cultivators surrounding him looked towards where that Wangxian Adept expert was pointing at and couldn't help but gasp in astonishment. They all found it strange. Why would a mansion appear out of nowhere?
This also made Wang Tian and the white scorpion cry out in shock. The shock was more noticeable towards the white scorpion as it never have imagined that someone would be so powerful enough to crash numerous cultivators and beasts in just a few moments. On the other hand, although Wang Tian was shocked, he was a bit better than the white scorpion as he had seen tons of astonishing things done by Senior Golem. It was practically a common thing by now.
The mansion was ginormously big and with its rising came the formation of dozens of powerful stone golems that guarded the whole mansion. Instantly killing every expert that came within a hunderd meters of the mansion.
One expert was very arrogant and complained endlessly because the mansion was getting in the way. That expert foolishly courted his own death as he charged towards the mansion. When he reached the hundred meter mark, dozens of stone golems appeared in front of him and ought to beat him into a pulp. That expert died with just a single punch from a golem. His body exploded, his skin, bones and everything else that made him became meat paste. The meat paste was scattered through the ground. This made all of the spectators shriek out in panic and fear. They all fled for their lives even when they were not inside the hundred meter mark. They all turned their heads back and saw that the golems weren't chasing them so they gave out a sigh of relief.
Of course, Wang Tian and the other two were unaware of what was happening outside. Actually, with how powerful Senior Golem was, he could just casually use his mind to notice what was happening outside but he did not do it. It was because he simply did not care. I mean, who was outside that was worth protecting and splitting his attention over Wang Tian?

The three were inside a very large room inside the mansion. They were all seated on their own majestic chairs. But Wang Tian's chair naturally looked more superior as he was the young master of this so called mansion.
Author's note: We'll change how the white scorpion is addressed from "it" to "he".
While the white scorpion couldn't get it out of his head that they were now in a mansion, he forced himself to calm down.
He knew he had already wasted a lot of their time so he decided to jump straight into it.
"We... the White Desert Devil Scorpion Tribe are the allies of your Arachnid Tribe. We have been like that since the beginning of time. In fact, we served your tribe, we took care of your tribe for eons up until now. Furthermore, we were originally also a part of the Arachnid Tribe but my ancestors contributed a lot in that battle thus we were given the opportunity to become a separate tribe. "
"Well, this is what my ancestors told me. We, White Desert Devil Scorpion Tribe pay much attention to our relationships and the happenings back then." the white scorpion said.
Wang Tian felt a bit shocked as he listened to what the white scorpion.
"Let me tell you a story..."
"Hundreds of millions of years ago, a bloody battle occured."
"It was said that the former leading tribe of the demon race led all of the demons to wreak havoc towards the 8 planets."
"They were very powerful. The former leader of the demon race wanted to be the ruler of all of the 8 planets. Thus, a heaven defying battle occured. Countless peak experts appeared to fend off the demon race."
"Can you imagine it? Demons fighting against all of the races with the humans being frontliners."
"With just a thought, any one of those experts could blow up a whole planet."
Wang Tian gulped down a bit of his saliva. He couldn't help but feel shocked. He imagine a magnificent battle that had an unknown amount of entities from different races fighting. His blood began to boil in excitement. 'A thought to blow up a planet?'
He yearned for the day that he could also have power akin to those experts from back then.
"I don't know the specifics of what really happened but I do know that the reason why that war stopped had something to do with your tribe." the white scorpion whispered seriously. This part of the story was a secret that only those who had participated in that battle knew. He was only a few hundred years old, how could he know the specifics of that battle?
Wang Tian nodded but he was still shocked. He looked at Senior Golem.
'Maybe Senior Golem knows the specifics of what happened back then' he thought to himself.
As if he knew what Wang Tian was thinking, he laughed and said,
"I do know but it's not something that I should tell you. It's not my place. It has something to do with your origin and I suppose me telling you that would only lessen the excitement right?"
"However, I didn't participate in that battle. Master did. He once told us a few things about that war. Besides, with my puny cultivation base, how could I have been qualified to participate in that war? I would be dead in just a few seconds." Senior Golem explained.
"What?!" Wang Tian and the white scorpion both exclaimed in surprise.
'Someone as powerful as Senior Golem wasn't qualified to participate? Does that mean that the ones that fought in that war were much more powerful than Senior Golem?' the two both had the same thought. The white scorpion had a very low cultivation base and the reason he knew that war was because it was passed down by their ancestors and they were strictly ordered to continue to pass it down from generation to generation.
A bit of time has passed and the whole atmosphere became silent. "Senior, how come you noticed that I'm from the Arachnid Tribe?"
"We have the same roots. How wouldn't our bloodline not have a familiar feeling? You just haven't really tapped into your bloodline. That's why I was able to sense you first. Otherwise, you would be able to notice me even if we were hundreds of thousands of kilometers apart. And That's just a rough estimation. That's how powerful your bloodline is." the white scorpion said.
Wang Tian nodded and couldn't help but become amazed. If what the white scorpion said was true then his origin was far more frightening than he thought. After all, he came from a non magical world. A place where smarts reigned as priority and actual body strength was far more unimportant than intelligence.
"That is all that I can tell you." the white scorpion said.
"Uh by the way... Now that you know that we're related, can you give back the corpses of my soldiers?" the white scorpion said with a weird expression.
Wang Tian smiled awkwardly and then he waved his hand. In an instant, a storage ring came floating from his bag of holding. Within the ring were tens of thousands of beast corpses. Wang Tian sighed in his mind.
'My cultivation resources...' he thought to himself.
