《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 45: Spiderling

"Since this item can easily kill an enemy 2-4 levels above you, the bid can only start at half a million." The maiden said.
Wang Tian simply nodded. It was understandable for the price to be so high. A weapon of such caliber would prove to be very advantageous especially when you're being chased by cultivators with much higher cultivation base than you.
"Six Hundred thousand!" Someone from the Fist Cloud sect shouted.
"Eight Hundred Thousand!"
"Eight Hundred and Fifty thousand!"
"Eight hundred and ninety thousand!"
The representative of the Fist Could Sect snorted and yelled out, "One million and one hundred thousand!"
"I am from the Fist Cloud Sect. I hope that my fellow cultivators won't bid against me anymore for this item as my sect deeply wants this item." He said. His voice was loud and clear and they were all cultivators. Thus they all heard it. By mentioning the word "Deeply", it means that the sect will pursue those who still bid against since they "deeply" wanted this item.
"Okay will anyone not bet anymore?" The maiden said.
"Going once for the Fist Cloud Sect"
"Going twice!"
"Sold to the man from the Fist Cloud Sect!" The maiden said.
The maiden chuckled bitterly when she saw the scene play out. It was fairly common to see cultivators who use their status in these auctions. It cut out their profit by a bit but it did not matter because if they offended either one of these sects, they will probably be in a bit of trouble.
They could only proceed to the other items. Wang Tian looked at the scene and couldn't help but shake his head as he watched the scene from before play out. Humans will really throw their weight around just to get the things that they want. Humans are greedy and arrogant like that. In this world and in earth. Back when he was in earth, he only had his phone and other gadgets for him to pass his time. He knew a bit about incidents like these.
'Would I be like them If I wasn't born as half human?' Wang Tian thought to himself.
He was starting to have such thoughts. I mean, who would want to be born included in a race that is selfish, greedy, weak and cowardly? But he was quite puzzled.
'If I am from the Demon race, why is it that I am not like these humans? Aren't demons much more horrible than humans? Much more chaotic and much more greedy?' Wang Tian thought to himself. The explanation for him not being like these humans who did anything for power or to get what they want wasn't because he had immense wealth. It was something else. Seven years ago, when he hadn't gained the inheritance of his master, he wasn't that greedy. He wasn't like these people in any way. That's why he found it strange. The only possible explanation that he could come up with was that although he came from the Demon race, maybe the Arachnid Tribe was different from the rest?
The hostess auctioned the items one by one. Wang Tian found nothing interesting that's why he just stared boredly at the hostess. Sometimes just admiring her beauty.

"The 11th item is a herb called Nine Sunflower Herb. This herb is a Tier 4 pill. It contains the properties capable of detoxifying numerous amounts of poison. Of course, it will only be possible if a Alchemist Master refines it. Although this pill is very useful, the usefulness depends on another person. That's why its price is a bit smaller than the rest."
Just like pills, Herbs are also divided into tier 1 - tier 10 with the former being the most common(also useful) and the tier 10 being the most rare(most useful). Even close to being extinct.
Wang Tian looked at the herb and was slightly interested.
"It seems you want to buy this herb?" Senior Golem said with a smile.
"It's a bit interesting" Wang Tian replied.
"The bidding price will start at eighty thousand spirit stones!"
"Eighty five thousand spirit stones!"
"Ninety thousand spirit stones!"
"One hundred thousand spirit stones!"
The bid was moving at the pace of a snail. Wang Tian shook his head and laughed. He saw this as a real catch.
"Twenty five high quality spirit stones" He said indifferently. His voice was neither too loud nor too silent. But it was still heard by all of the cultivators present.
"What?! High quality spirit stones?!"
"He's bidding those for a herb???"
"Has the world gone mad???!
All of the cultivators present were in an uproar as they mused over what Wang Tian said. To them, a single high quality spirit stone was a treasure. Now this youth could easily throw in twenty five of them? That was like bidding two hundred fifty thousand middle quality spirit stones! Except it was much more dense and filled with Spiritual Qi!
What a waste!
The people couldn't see him but they could hear his voice. The voice sounded young so they could only guess that it came from a youth. But who was this extravagant youth who could bid in high quality spirit stones like they were trash?
"Hang on a second..."
"Is he that person who came from the Seven Star Sword Sect?" A cultivator asked.
His voice echoes throughout the whole sky. Everyone present heard it thus, they all swallowed a bit of their saliva.
"So that's him? The one who killed my grandson?" An old man from House Xi glanced at the direction Wang Tian was in and snorted. His eyes were radiating with killing intent.
A few days before, when Wang Tian killed the Second Young Master of House Xi. The news quickly spread like wildfire. It instantly reached their House. He was outraged but he couldn't do anything as the one who killed then was exceptionally strong. Thus he could only bid his time and wait for a chance to take his revenge. He didn't care if it was from the Seven Star Sword Sect or even if they were from heaven. He would kill and make the world wallow in pain for his grandson.
"Going once for my Lord over there!"
"Going twice!"
"So-" the maiden was about to say that it was sold but she was interrupted.
"Twenty five high quality spirit stonez and one middle quality spirit stone" That old man yelled. He arrogantly looked at Wang Tian and dismissed him with furious glances. His eyes clearly filled with killing intent.

Wang Tian raised his eyebrows and faced the old man's furious gaze with his own. But his gaze was filled with indifference.
"Fifty high quality spirit stones" Wang Tian smoothly said. He didn't really care. Who was he? He was the inheritor of a supreme expert. Someone who had access to millions to billions of spirit stones. Why would he care about just a measly fifty high quality spirit stones? But that didn't mean he will let the man run rampant and dishonor his reputation. Thus, he cooked up a plan.
"Fifty high quality spirit stones and one middle quality spirit stone." The old man said without a care in the world. In reality although he had the money, he didn't want to spend it like this. Especially since it was just a herb.
"A hundred high quality spirit stones" Wang Tian said as a reply.
The crowd was going nuts by the bids. A hundred high quality spirit stones! How bloody extravagant was that? To dare bid with it outright. Was this not a true waste of resources?
But, the madness was just getting started.
"Are you sure you are able to afford a hundred high quality spirit stones?" Wang Tian asked as he looked at the old man indifferently.
"Why? You think I can't afford it? I have a high status in my house and we have been present for more than five hundred years. Are you questioning our ability to amass money? Or are you just looking down upon us because we aren't from your sect? Like we're just little flies who you can swat with not a bat of the eye." The old man retorted.
The crowd felt waves surge in their minds. Was this not treason? This old man actually talked to a member of that behemoth of a sect in this way. Is he asking for a slaughter to happen? They all exchanged fearful glances with each other.
"Not at all. Since that's the case, I bid two hundred high quality spirit stones." Wang Tian said with a smile.
That smile was understood by the old man from House Xi as an act of provocation. Thus, he bidded, "two hundred high quality spirit stones and one middle quality spirit stones.". He didn't consider the possibility that Wang Tian would stop bidding and leave him hanging just like that. So he continued bidding fearlessly. It would be a nightmare if Wang Tian did. But unfortunately for him, something much worse was going to happen.
Wang Tian smiled and said, "Two hundred and fifty high quality spirit stones. Friends, I am from the Seven Star Sword Sect. I won't say much but you all witnessed what had just transpired."
By simply mentioning his status, the cultivators present all gulped down a bit of saliva. Especially the old man from House Xi as he felt a very strong and bad premonition.
"Therefore, I shall post a job for everyone present. Anyone who can bring the head of this old man here will be rewarded a thousand high quality spirit stone and anyone who can annihillate the House Xi will be granted a hundred high quality spirit stones for each head." Wang Tian said as he smiled. His voice reverberated throughout the entire.
The old man from House Xi's face became extremely unsightly. "Anyone who obeys him will be an enemy of my House! Besides, what if he's lying?! What if he's not from that sect! Anyone can just disguise themselves as someone from that sect!" He yelled out.
The cultivators present looked at each other and began to have doubts towards Wang Tian's identity.
"Oh? Who would you like to have as an enemy? The Seven Star Sword Sect or someone from a puny empire? Pick." Wang Tian said as he smiled.
Indeed. What if the youth really was from the Seven Star Sword Sect and they disobeyed him. Wouldn't that be disastrous? Besides, there were hundreds of them here. They could just kill the youth if he was lying and simply ask for an apology to the old man's house.
They made up their minds and looked at the old man as if he was a treasure. Waiting to be seized and collected.
"Of course, let's do it after the auction shall we? As to not give the auction house unnecessary trouble." Wang Tian said gracefully.
"And naturally, the payment will be given by the boss of the auction house. Fellow Cultivator Liu Bei.
The people from the auction house heaved a sigh of relief. In truth, they weren't ready to face hundreds of cultivators. They had no manpower that could match up to the power of a hundred cultivators. That's why they felt relieved when they heard from Wang Tian that fighting wouldn't happen here.
The old man from House Xi felt panic stricken as he used this as an opportunity and left.
'Run, you won't be able to live longer anyway' Wang Tian thought to himself.
In the end, Wang Tian won the bid smoothly.
The auction proceeded with silence as the items one by one were sold. But the incident clearly dampened their moods.
"The 16th item is a spiderling from a magical beast called nine hexagon spider." The hostess said as she revealed a spiderling five inches long.
A magical beast was much more powerful than a wild beast. Like a wild beast, its power levels are divided into four stages. The early stage, middle stage, late stage and peak stage. If a wild beast can reach the peak stage in its lifetime, then it has a chance to become a magical beast. As for after the magical beast stage, it is still unknown.
Wang Tian didn't know why but he felt a strange sense of familiarity towards the spider. As if it was family or his kin. I definitely have to buy it!
"This spiderling was caught by an expert. But unfortunately, the spiderling was too much for him to handle as it was vicious and was very poisonous. However, it is still a spiderling. Thus, it can still be tamed. Its authenticity is guaranteed by this auction house." The hostess said.
