《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 44: Time to begin the bids!

"Thank you boss!" The guard said excitedly as he opened the way for his boss.
...
"How is the outside world Young Master?" Senior Golem said with a light chuckle as he took a sip from the wine that was delivered to them earlier.
"It's fascinating actually. But I have yet to see cultivators that are my age yet much more powerful than me..." Wang Tian said nonchalantly as he glanced at the wine, checking if there were any drugs, and then drinking it.
"Well, the cultivators here lack resources. Thus, it isn't a surprise if we can't see anyone who's much more powerful than you in your age. Furthermore, if you really want to know or battle with geniuses much powerful than you, then perhaps we can go to the three other lording sects and cause trouble?" Senior Golem replied. If other people heard this, they would think of him as mad! Suggesting to cause trouble to the other sects was utterly insane! Then again, Senior Golem was an existence that only very few in this planet could fathom. Causing trouble to the other sects was not something even close to impossible.
Wang Tian looked at him with eyes shining as he thought to himself.
'That really is possible! Maybe we could even initiate a slaughter! Enhancing my culivation base to a significant degree!'
"Haha! What a great idea! Let's do it after I'm done with my business in this city." Wang Tian agreed happily.
"My Lords, am i interrupting something?" An aged voice said.
"Hm? Who is it?" Wang Tian answered.
'A young voice? A teenager?' Liu Bei was surprised a bit.
"I am the owner of this Auction house, may I be graced with a little chat from you two, My Lords?" Liu Bei said respectfully.
"Enter" Wang Tian replied.
Liu Bei entered the room. He cupped his fists, bowed down and then took a seat across the two.
"My Lords, may I know if you really are from that sect?" Liu Bei asked.
Wang Tian looked at him for a moment and said nothing.
Liu Bei broke into cold sweat when he saw this.
'Fuck! Is he angry?' he thought to himself.
Just when he was about to panic, he saw the youth flick his hand and then a symbol appeared. This was the identification plate for the members of the Seven Star Sword Sect. Wang Tian tossed it towards Liu Bei noncommitally and then shifted his gaze towards the window.
Liu Bei gulped down a bit of saliva and carefully scrutinized the identification. He looked at Wang Tian. It was easy to say that you are a member of that Sect but it is hard to act like one. How Wang Tian behaved right now was indeed in accord to how those people from that sect behaved. Thus, he concluded that they were the real deal.
"My Lords, why have you come down from the high heavens and descended down into our city?" Liu Bei asked.
"On a stroll. Wanting to see what the outside world looks like. And also to acquire items." Wang Tian said as he looked at Liu Bei's eyes.

"Acquire items? Perhaps my Lord is interested in the items from my Auction House?" Liu Bei inquired.
'Oh shit, if this Lord is here to acquire items from my Auction House, I have no choice but to give it to him! My profits would go down by a ton!' Liu Bei thought to himself.
Wang Tian's eyes shined.
"Do you have any tier 3 or 4 cauldrons? Maybe even higher?" Wang Tian asked.
Liu Bei looked at him and reluctantly answered, "Yes we do actually. It is called the Dark Heaven Cauldron. A tier 5 cauldron. Made from the very finest Dark Heaven ore which is a level 7-8 ore in the universal ranking."
Wang Tian's eyes shined much more brightly and then asked, "How much is it?"
"Eh?" Liu Bei was caught aback. He didn't expect Wang Tian to want to buy it from him since all the other disciples from that sect that he encountered were all very arrogant and unruly. They all wanted to take what they saw as treasures as they thought of themselves as the heavens. And the Heavens are permitted to do whatever they want.
"Yo-you want to buy it?" Liu Bei asked.
"Of course I do." Wang Tian replied. That was the truth. He really didn't mind spending spirit stones since he didn't lack them. He also didn't have any use for them as it didn't aid him in his cultivation.
Liu Bei stared at him dumbly and didn't say anything.
"So how much is it?" Wang Tian asked.
This woke Liu Bei up from his daze. He thought about it for a moment and said,
"Ah, take it as a gift my Lord. This lowly one doesn't need you to buy it. But only to remember my name, Liu Bei"
'Liu Bei huh? Like the Warlord of the late Eastern Han dynasty...' Wang Tian thought to himself.
"Alright. Oh and do you have any tier 3 to 4 flame spirits?" Wang Tian asked.
"Flame spirits? Hmm... We do but it's only a tier 2 flame spirit. It's called the Phoenix Tarnisher Flame Spirit. It's the only Flame Spirit we have at the moment. Perhaps I can order a group to capture a tier 3 flame spirit?" Liu Bei answered.
Wang Tian thought about it for a moment and then nodded. He waved his hand and a bag of holding appeared in his hand.
"I won't rob you of your items any longer, take this as a gift. There are two bag of holdings in there. One holds the reward for the finding of a Flame Spirit and the other bag contains my token of appreciation to you." Wang Tian said as he tossed the bag of holding to Liu Bei.
Liu Bei scanned the bag and he couldn't help but click his tongue, "this..."
He was shocked. Really shocked. The two bag of holdings inside contained high quality spirit stones that numbered no less than ten thousand each! High quality spirit stones are very rare! Only those highest of the high are able to access it. Yet this youth could give it out so casually? With even the number being so huge? One must know that even the people from the Seven Star Sword Sect would go green from greed when they see a middle quality spirit stone. Much less a high quality one? So you can imagine the pricelessness of such a high tier spirit stone.

"Don't mention it." Wang Tian said.
Liu Bei gulped down a bit of his saliva. He cupped his fists, bowed down towards Wang Tian and Senior Golem.
"The auction will start in a few moments, so I better be going. I'll send someone to take the two items to you. Oh and please stay, I'm sure the items that'll be auctioned will surprise you." The old man said and left.
"Good afternoon fellow cultivators, I am the hostess of this auction." A melodic, charming and sweet voice echoed about.
Wang Tian's eyes landed on a beautiful maiden with a smoking hot body. There were two mountains hanging over her chest while her skin tone was as light as the sky. Her beauty could topple mountains and was in no way inferior to Shu Mingzhu.
The crowd roared in awe when they saw the goddess of a maiden. One cultivator even joked,
"Hey miss! Are you also being auctioned?"
"My my, better hold your sword or I might yank it out of you" The maiden said with a smile as she released her aura.
'A Wanxiang Adept!' Wang Tian thought to himself.
The crowd tensed but they ultimately laughed and the whole atmosphere was merry. There were hundreds of cultivators present from different houses and sects. Among the houses where House Xi, House Oonan, House Kun, and many more. Amongst the sects present were, the Fist Cloud Sect, the prestigious Sky Saber Sect, the Water Dragon Palace and other second tier sect. These were the sects that were next in power rankings to the Seven Star Sword Sect. There were also dozens of wandering cultivators present but the majority of them resided in the most common seats.
"Okay, we will auction a total of 20 items. With each being much more precious than the previous one." The maiden said.
She flicked her hands and then in an instant, a man appeared holding an item in his hands.
She grabbed it and revealed a sword to the audience's eyes. The sword was made from the finest of jades and it was very tough.
"This is the Sky Jade Sword a rare Sky grade weapon. As you can see, it was made from jade. The owner of this sword didn't use the sword as his type of weapon so he ultimately decided to sell it to us. He told us that he acquired it from a legacy of someone who was at least a Spirit Severing expert." The maiden said explaining every detail while brandishing the sword to exaggerate its might. The hostess held it so perfectly that those cultivators who didn't give a damn about it at first, decided to look at it and examine it.
"How do we know if it's the real deal?" A cultivator asked. What he said voiced out the concerns of the other cultivators who were planning on buying it. A sky grade weapon was very scarce. Even those who had tons of status could only wield an earth grade weapon.
"This sword was appraised by our very own. I trust that you know what that means." The maiden said with a slight smile.
The onlookers nodded. They understood what the maiden said. It meant that, they were putting their reputation on the line for the item. So it was naturally the real deal.
"The bid will start at a hundred thousand middle quality spirit stones." The maiden said.
'That much for just a sky grade weapon? But I have hundreds to maybe even a million of those in here....' Wang Tian was speechless. He didn't expect that a high quality weapon that he had an unknown amount of could be sold at a very sky high price.
"A hundred and fifty thousand!" A voice shouted.
"A hundred and sixty thousand!"
"Two hundred thousand spirit stones!"
"Two hundred and twenty thousand spirit stones!"
The bidding war grew in intensity as they fought for the sword. The price reached an unbelievable amount of half a million and then stabilized at around six hundred thousand. Finally, the representative of the Water Dragon Palace outbid the others. The item was delivered shortly after.
"This..." Wang Tian was shocked.
'If I sold maybe two or three of the weapons here, maybe i could fetch a hefty price for them?' Wang Tian thought to himself.
"The second item is a life saving teleportation talisman. This talisman can teleport the owner to at least thirty thousand kilometers from his original spot. I trust that you all know the importance of this item." The maiden said as he revealed a talisman in her hands.
"The bid starts at fifty thousand spirit stones"
"Seventy thousand spirit stones!"
"Ninety thousand spirit stones!"
"A hundred and fifty thousand spirit stones!" A bidder from House Oonan called out.
A wandering cultivator saw this and then gritted his teeth, 'great wealth won't matter if I'm dead!' he thought to himself and yelled out.
"Three hundred thousand spirit stones!"
This instantly silenced the other bidders while the one that bid from House Oonan grunted and said sharply, "I shall let this slide and let you have it".
"Are there not any more bids? Going once!"
"Going twice!
"Going thrice!"
"Sold to the man over there!"
The auction quickly proceeded to the third item.
This item was similar to the first item It was also a sky grade weapon.
"This is the Grappling Heart Glove. It is also a sky grade weapon. Its main use is what its name says. Grappling the heart of your enemies and instantly killing them. At a close distance, the accuracy of this weapon will increase 120% giving your enemy 0% chance to escape. This glove also has a special attribute of being able to kill those whom are 2-4 levels above you." The maiden said as she wore the glove and did a grabbing motion to the air. The air distorted and appeared to be locked as she retracted her hand.

I look at the mountain of paperwork before me. I'm overworked. Slowly, my eyes fall shut. I'm so tired of this... A loud 'bang' caused by dropping off another pile of paperwork made me bolt upright. My maid stands before, scorn in her eyes. Annoyed, I wave her away—this is not the first time that that has happened. And she is not the only one who does that. 'Hated by my own people,' I sigh internally and rub my temples. This is not what my 'freedom' was supposed to look like. My eyes hover over the ring on my finger. I tried, you know? Right now, I only want everything to stop. Maybe read some books, eat something delicious, and nap as often as I want to. Wait...I am the matriarch! Hell, I can do whatever I want! Books? I can pocket whole libraries in my domain. Food? Also, in my domain. Naps? Well, there are many cuddly nooks in there. Sooo...my domain has everything I need—dunno why I never thought of this before. All that's left is to relocate its entrance to another totally secret place. How about that hidden forest temple? Yes, let's go with this! Goodbye obligations, goodbye people who always want to take over, goodbye enemies, and at last, good riddance to the council that tries to marry me off to one of these fat ugly narcissistic nobles. Uhh, I just hope nothing will go wrong during my long-term absence. Nahhh, nothing will happen at all; I am totally sure of it...probably. ______ This is the rewrite of the old story: https://www.scribblehub.com/series/273362/seclusion-old-version--dropped/ Alternate Titel: I lived so long in seclusion that everybody forgot about me
