《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 28: Reunion

The Seven Star Sword Sect is known to be located at the Yang continent, in the country called Vast Expanse. The Vast Expanse is divided into four. North, west, south and east. The northern part of the Vast Expanse is ruled by a School called the Heavenly School. This is the school where countless geniuses are grown and at the same time this is the number one faction in the whole Vast Expanse. Unlike any other factions, they accept cultivators even if they are a part of other sects.
In the West, A behemoth called the
Archaic Desert Sect could be found. As written in the name, they are located in the desert. The disciples of the Archaic Desert Sect are known to be ruthless and without mercy. A place full of countless geniuses.
In the east, the Seven Star Sword Sect is located. The Seven Star Sword Sect has 8 mountain peaks. Each ruled by a Peak Master. The tallest peak is where their Sect Leader, Shangguan Yi stays.
In the south, the Snowy Cloud Sect could be seen. They are allies of the Seven Star Sword Sect and has stuck with them for a very long time now. They are leaded by Yi Xue, whom Wang Gui refined a sword earlier.
Inside the house on the tallest mountain peak in the Seven Star Sword Sect, a figure could be seen cross-legged. He was cultivating. The surroundings had clouds in them and the temperature was very cold. But the Spiritual Qi here was the most abundant. Thus this place was the best place to cultivate in.
The figure was clad in white and he was very handsome even though he looked a bit aged. This was the Sect Leader of the Seven Star Sword Sect.
'It's been 7 years since Brother Gui left and went towards the Blood Forest to find his son. I haven't heard any news from him. 7 years ago, I purged all of those people that are from that filthy Zhang Xuan's faction. All of those who stood up for him died. This caused an uproar inside the sect but they had no choice but to accept it. I'm no good man and my actions can't be deemed as honorable. But I am a good brother. That day, blood rained on the streets. Heads were rolling down the floor.' the Sect Leader thought to himself. He was recalling what had happened 7 years ago.
'I hope Tian'er is alright or else this Sect of mine will face utter destruction if Brother Gui went mad.' the Sect Leader sighed.
"Sect Leader. I have important news to report to you." a man in black instantly appeared in front of Shangguan Yi. This man is part of Shangguan Yi's secret force inside the Sect. Like those three experts who took Zhang Xuan 7 years ago.
Shangguan Yi didn't open his eyes but he said, "What is this important news that you dared to interrupt me when I'm thinking?"
The man's face was covered but inside the cover, his face changed and he broke into cold sweat.

"Sect Leader, please forgive me for my audaciousness but I seem to have seen Blacksmith Wang return into his house yesterday with his son and four other people." the man said with utmost respect.
Shangguan Yi opened his eyes and it flickered with delight for a moment but quickly returned to extreme coldness and arrogance
"What? You saw him yesterday but you didn't report to me instantly?" Shangguan Yi said. His eyes looked at the man. The man felt immense pressure from his Sect Leader's glare. As if he was carrying Mount Tai on his shoulders. He was forced to kneel.
"Mercy Sect Leader! Please let this lowly one explain!" The man shouted weakly.
Shangguan Yi lessened the pressure he was exerting onto the man and said, "speak"
The man unhesitatingly said, "When I saw him return yesterday, I was instantly about to report to you. However, I was restricted! "
Shangguan Yi's eyebrows furrowed when he heard this.
"I couldn't move! I had no control over my body."
"Then a humanoid spectre appeared in front of me. The humanoid spectre said,"
"Dare to spy again and I'll rip your eyes out." The humanoid spectre said slowly with eyes that pierced his soul.
"The humanoid spectre looked at me with hostility and i felt my soul being halved by a sword... It was really painful."
"I fainted and the next thing I know, he was gone and it was already morning."
"Forgive me Sect Leader for my ineptitude!" The man shouted pleadingly.
"Ha? Oh no no it's okay." Shangguan Yi waved his palm.
"In fact, you have done quite well. Here, take this token." Shanguan Yi flicked his sleeve and then a token appeared and shot towards the man.
The man felt very confused but he was nevertheless very excited when he saw that a token was given to him.
"Pick any Pavillion you want and show the guards this token. You can take any one item. This token is one time use so use it carefully." Shangguan Yi instructed and then waved him to leave.
"Thank you Sect Leader!" The man said and he vanished.
After the man left, Shangguan Yi fell into deep contemplation.
'A humanoid spectre hat could make someone feel pain just by looking at them... This can only happen when the cultivation between the two are huge.' Shangguan Yi thought to himself.
"If it really is true that Brother Gui is back, then I must pay him a visit." Shangguan Yi made up his mind and then left the peak.
After a few minutes, Shangguan Yi reached Wang Gui's house.
Wang Gui's house was located at the foot of the fourth peak.
There were a bunch of people on the foot of the fourth peak. Thousands of disciples were located here. Thus, a commotion was made when their Sect Leader appeared outside Wang Gui's house.
"Hey look it's the Sect Leader!" One disciple pointed at the Sect Leader.
The surrounding disciples heard what he said and they all looked at where he pointed. They simultaneously dropped down to their knees and called out,

"Greetings Sect Leader!"
One disciple looked at his buddy and said, "hey dude, why do you think Sect Leader is visiting Blacksmith Wang's house?"
"Stupid!"
That guy smacked his friend.
"So the rumors were true???"
"I don't know dude but seeing Sect Leader outside Blacksmith Wang's house validates the rumors even more."
Shangguan Yi waved his hands and nodded. All of the disciples stood up to the side. They clearly had no intention of leaving.
The two disciples that talked to each other was approached slowly by another disciple. This disciple overheard the two talking and wanted to gossip with them.
"Psst dude, what rumor?" That disciple who just approached ask the two silently.
"What? You haven't hear about it?"
"No, why?"
"Dude! What planet are you from?" The disciple who started the first conversation said.
"Sheeeh! Just tell me already!"
"Okay here it is."
"You're aware of the cleansing last 7 years ago right?"
"Yes of course" that disciple nodded and said.
"Well, there was a rumor that the Sect Leader killed those people because those group of people sent their underlings to go and dispatch Wang Gui and his son. Unfortunately for them, Wang Gui wasn't home and only his son was present. Thus they tracked down the boy but they didn't succeed. The boy escaped."
"What?! Something like that happened in our sect?!" That man who approached raised his voice in shock.
"Shhhh!!! Quiet down! You don't want the Sect Leader to hear us do you?"
That disciple covered his mouth and then shook his head.
"What happened next?"
"Well, Blacksmith Wang arrived and then searched for his kid. For the past 7 years he hasn't come back. Until today maybe."
"But, why would Sect Leader go to such an extent?"
"I don't know but maybe Blacksmith Wang and Sect Leader know each other."
The three disciples nodded at each other.
The rumors were fairly accurate. The Sect Leader couldn't help but turn his head to look at them when he heard what he said. The three might have lowered their voices but the difference between their cultivation base and the Sect Leader's was enormous. So the words that they uttered were still heard.
Shangguan Yi looked at those disciples and then sighed. He waved his palm and then said,
"all of you leave."
The disciples on the scene instantly dissipated as if they weren't even there.
Shangguan Yi sighed and then said,
"Brother Gui, it's me the Brother Yi"
The door slowly opened and then Shangguan Yi's eyes instantly layed upon a teenager who looked to be about 17 years of age. This boy's features were quite good. His body had muscles but not too many. To his surprise, this teenager's left eye was pitch black and his right arm was also pitch black. Both his left eye and his right arm gave off a terrifying aura. Shangguan Yi even felt the need to kneel.
"Uncle Yi!" Wang Tian called out.
'Uncle Yi? Could it be...' Shangguan Yi felt dumbstruck.
"Tian'er??" Shangguan Yi asked.
"Yes Uncle Yi, it's me!" Wang Tian replied with a smile.
"Please come on in. Let's talk inside." Wang Tian said.
The Sect Leader nodded and then he entered the house.
"Tian'er where's your father?" Shangguan Yi said.
"Oh, he's in the kitchen. Wait a minute, I'll call him now." Wang Tian replied. He hada rather good impression towards the Sect Leader. From the moment he was born, he had memories of this man. This man was very kind to his father although he always revealed extreme admiration. Anybody who was good to his father, would be treated quite well.
"Father! Uncle Yi is looking for you!" Wang Tian called out.
"Bring him here to the kitchen son, and call our other guests. We're going to eat" Wang Gui replied.
'Guests?' Shangguan Yi thought to himself.
Shangguan Yi and Wang Tian nodded at each other and then they proceeded to the kitchen together.
The two were greeted by a sweet aroma that made their tummies grumble. Although cultivators at their level didn't need to eat since the Spiritual Qi in the atmosphere was enough to maintain them, eating was fun for them. Well, for some. They think of eating as a way to enjoy their life. Some think that eating is just a waste of time.
On the table were different kinds of dishes. There were meats of different kinds of spiritual beasts present.
Spiritual beasts are beasts like the one that Wang Tian encountered 7 years ago. These are beasts that were enlightened and gained the opportunity to cultivate. The meat of these beasts were very nutritious to cultivators but some of them could cause death.
"Brother Gui, I heard that you returned yesterday?" Shangguan Yi walked towards his brother and then gave him a warm hug. "Haha. I was fortunate brother. My years of waiting did not go to waste. Wang Tian returned yesterday. Tian'er will tell you all of the details once we eat." Wang Gui returned the hug and said.
"Oh wait, I'll invite my brother's family so that they could also partake in this small feast." Wang Gui said. He was awfully happy today. But that was understandable since his beloved son has just returned after 7 years.
Wang Gui disappeared in an instant and then reappeared with Wang Chen and his family. The three of them were still in disarray since it all happened too fast. They were in their house doing their own things and then suddenly they were here.
"Hey what's goi--" Wang Chen shouted but he paused when he saw the Sect Leader.
"Quickly greet the Sect Leader" he whispered to his wife and son.
"Greetings Sect Leader!" The three shouted in chorus and bowed towards Shangguan Yi.
"Brother Chen, Sister Yuyan and Jhiayi'er don't be so formal. We're all family here." the Sect Leader said and smiled.
