《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 13: Wang Gui's might

Wang Gui's expression didn't change in the slightest. Giving of the feeling that he was unconvinced.
Yi Xue laughed awkwardly and then said, "don't worry brother, it is just my gift to you. I will also give you ten million middle quality spirit stones as payment."
Wang Gui laughed and said, "that's not a problem." When he saw that bottle, he was reminded of Wang Tian. The Dark Qi that was hovering above Wang Tian. He was marveling over whether or not this liquid could help get rid of that Qi if something unfavorable happened towards Wang Tian. He missed his dear son and wanted to see him so badly. He was his only son. He regarded Wang Tian as something that was more important than his life! If anything happened to him, then he would make the universe pay! He would not mind turning over mountains just to see him!
Yi Xue looked at Wang Chen who was completely silent the whole time and then said, "Since you are the brother of Brother Gui, then I shall gift you this Defensive Talisman. This Talisman is very powerful! It can nullify an attack from a peak Wangxian Adept expert." He flicked his fingers and then a talisman appeared in his hands. He handed it to Wang Chen unhesitatingly.
Wang Chen's eyes shined. He bowed down and then thanked Yi Xue. 'the wealth of a Sect Leader of a major clan really is unfathomable!' he thought to himself.
Wang Gui smiled at the sight of this. However, just after they exchanged items, Wang Gui felt an ominous feeling. He felt that something was amiss and then thought to himself, 'what's going on? Why am i feeling a bit uneasy?'. 'is it Wang Tian? Has something happened to him?' He asked himself and then looked at the imprint that he left on Wang Tian. This imprint could help him find Wang Tian and determine whether he was alive or not. This imprint was the one who had helped him track down Wang Tian when Wang Tian was being attacked by that Devil Snake. He looked at the imprint's location but found nothing! His son was gone! As if he was never there!
Wang Gui's eyes flickered with anxiousness and he fell into deep contemplation. 'Why did my son's imprint disappear? Did he get killed? But that would be impossible since I would know if someone injured my son.'
'maybe he accidentally travelled onto another plane? A spacial rift?'
'yes this must be the most logical explanation'
Wang Gui has come across thousands of thousands of things that Yi Xue hasn't seen. His knowledge knew no bounds! He has experienced many things and he knew that something like this only happens when the person who has the imprint crossed onto another dimension or went onto a spacial rift. He knew that things like these exist since he has already experienced such things back in the day!
'Was there a spacial rift in the Seven Star Sword Sect?'
'Wait, there is...'

'There was one at the Blood Forest. But how could he have gone so far?'
'Unless... someone plotted against him?' Wang Gui's eyes flashed with understanding. Only a few thing could get pass his discerning mind. He has experienced many things in his life and situations like these were common. Especially, when he was a vigorous youth.
'I have to go now! That spacial rift is very dangerous! Last time i checked, i felt a monstrous presence hiding over there!'
Wang Gui's face changed to anxiety.
"Brother Wang, are you alright? Has something happened?" Yi Xue asked.
"No, i just feel fatigued because of my constant refining." Wang Gui replied while looking at Yi Xue. The meaning inside his eyes were clear. Something bad had happened! Really bad! But he did not want to say.
"Then I won't keep you to myself." Yi Xue said with a smile. Yi Xue understood that when it came down to private things, he had to know his place especially since they were of different sects.
"Brother Yi thank you for your hospitality! I'll come and visit soon" Wang Gui said and then grabbed Wang Chen.
"Brother what is it? What's the matter?" Wang Chen sent a telepathic message to Wang Gui.
"I'll inform you on the way. Now, let me carry you there. It will be much faster " Wang Gui replied.
"You mean you will unleash your?" Wang Chen said while his eyes were sparkling.
Wang Gui nodded. "Brother Yi, we'll be on our way you don't need to escort us out."
"Have a safe journey brother!" Yi Xue said.
Wang Gui nodded at him. Wang Gui raised his hands and then made a tearing motion in the air. He tore the void and then entered it!
Yi Xue felt waves in his mind.
Heavens?
What have i seen?
'How could he have disappeared with a single step? I could do it but it would prove to have more disadvantages than advantages! And my style would be different than him! He directly tore through the void while I could only disappear instantly!' Yi Xue thought to himself.
'Was he really only at Wangxian Adept?' Yi Xue's eyes flashed with interest.
"It seems like the Seven Star Sword Sect has gained some secrets through all this years. Will they be able to make a comeback and rise to the top again?" He mumbled to himself.
...
Inside the Seven Star Sword Sect, a black endless hole appeared out of nowhere. Two figures walked out of the hole. It was Wang Gui and Wang Chen! One must know that it only has been a few minutes since they were at the Snowy Cloud Sect! And now they're here! Good thing Wang Gui picked a good area where they wouldn't be seen or else
Wang Gui and Wang Chen patted the dust out of their shoulders and then adjusted their clothes.
In the journey, Wang Gui explained everything to Wang Chen.
"Brother, report this to Shangguan Yi. And be careful, don't let anyone see you. I fear that they might cause you trouble. Sneak towards Shangguan Yi, it'll be effective since no one knows that we've already arrived."

"I'll first tend to my family. Those fucking bastards! If they even lay a finger on my mother and son then I swear to the heavens that I will eradicate them from this world!" Wang Chen burned with anger but his worry was also visible.
"Damn these fuckers! If only my cultivation base wasn't sealed." Wang Chen angrily said.
"Do as you must Brother" Wang Gui said and then waved his hands. Two Hūli jíng appeared beside him. They looked very identical to each other. Ai was on the left side and An was on the right side.
"Ai and An, accompany my brother and make sure he stays uninjured. " Wang Gui ordered the two.
"Yey master, we get to go outside and play with Chen Chen today?" Ai said.
"Hey i told you to stop calling me Chen Chen!" Wang Chen replied angrily.
"Chen Chen my boy, don't be such a meanie. Here here let your Aunt An protect you" An teased.
Wang Gui laughed slightly at the scene
"Ai and An, go now and don't disappoint me" He said.
"Be careful brother" Wang Gui said worriedly. Wang Chen was his Blood brother! He really adored him. Back when Wang Chen was small, Wang Gui would always take him to wonderful places. The two had an inseparable bond.
The two quickly parted ways.
Wang Gui spread his Divine Sense to see the tracks of his son and to further see what really happened. He quickly covered the whole Seven Star Sword Sect area. The elders of the Seven Star Sword Sects all shouted,
"Your Highness please don't kill us!"
"Is this... The legendary Divine Sense?" An elder said.
"Heavens! What is an expert of that caliber doing here?!"
Only the elders detected his Divine Sense but they did not know what it was because they were just Zifu realm experts. The usage of divine sense is only exclusive to entities much more powerful than Zifu realm experts! Wang Gui snorted when he heard this. 'How dare I? I have always serving this sect! Yet you all dare to harass my son!? Forcing him to enter the Blood Forest?!'
The faces of the elders distorted.
Arrogance! Unparalleled arrogance!
Who would dare to ignore the elders of the hegemon of the west?
An elder rose up to the sky and then shouted, "What arrogance! Daring to ignore us?! Who do you think you are?!"
This elder had a black beard and his eyes felt like it could see the world. This elder was the older brother of Zhang Xuan, Zhang Huo (With Huo written as "火" meaning Fire). He knew that this man was powerful, much more powerful than any other cultivator he has ever encountered just by the Divine Sense that that expert released. But he dare not back down since this was his territory. A single cultivator might be strong but he is still only one person! Even an elephant would die under a million ants!
Zhang Huo was heartbroken when he heard that his brother was forced to cripple himself and that the Sect Leader punished his brother and nephew. Letting them suffer at the Blood Forest. Hence, his mood wasn't quite good. And now this mysterious expert was spreading his divine sense like a madman!
Wang Gui didn't answer but only looked at him from where he was and then continued to spread his divine sense. Zhang Huo was infuriated when he heard no response. The divine sense of this guy was even spreading out even faster than it originally was.
'You might be powerful, but this is our territory! If i get a chance, I will cut your tongue and make a dish using your brains you bastard!'
Of course, Zhang Huo dared not utter these words since he would likely die from just a single wave of a hand by this man.
Zhang Huo tried to calm down and said,
"Sir, please be reasonable. Don't spread your Divine Sense everywhere. This is the territory of the Seven Star Sword Sect. Please don't refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a forfeit"
Many things may have happened from Wang Gui spreading his Divine Sense to Zhang Huo's empty threats but in truth, only a few minutes have passed.
Wang Gui finally noticed something amiss near the house of his brother. Thus he retracted his divine sense.
"Thank you for your understanding sir" Zhang Huo said and then went back to his abode.
Wang Gui stepped and then instantly appeared at the scene where Wang Tian was ambushed by the elders. Wang Gui waved his hand slowly. Twelve elders appeared before him. They were encircling a little kid. "Wang Tian!" Wang Gui said worriedly but his eyes were fuming with rage. He watched as the scenes went by. From the speech of Elder Li to the death of the two elders. When Wang Gui finished watching what happened, his brows furrowed and he felt flabbergasted by what he had seen. His son could kill Zifu realm experts easily?! Moreover, the Qi that the spell that Wang Tian used was the same as the Qi that he saw when Wang Tian was resting. Wang Gui waved his hands again and then he looked at the holographic appearance of Wang Tian. Wang Gui's eyes furrowed even more when he noticed the cloth that was covering Wang Tian's left eye. Those Zifu realm experts couldn't see through the cloth but Wang Gui could very easily.
"His left eye..." Wang Gui said and sighed.
"It is too soon. He is too young..." He said.
"But his left eye looks as beautiful as his mother's" Wang Gui said silently. His face was that of someone remembering something very painful.
"Yu'er... I really miss you Yu'er..." Wang Gui sighed and then vanished towards the Blood Forest.

Trouble!

The Archonian Council comprised of the leaders of the various races decided that enough was enough and the war had to stop or at the very least, continue elsewhere. Delicate as Glass
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Nuri, an [Assistant Glassworker], only has a single Skill. It’s really not fair. He’s worked in the hot shop his entire life, following in his father’s footsteps after his parents passed away, but he’s stuck. Despite possessing above-average talent as an artisan, he still hasn’t shed his [Assistant] status, gained a second Skill, or even leveled enough to reach the first Threshold. Besides, he’s bored; most days he daydreams of adventure and becoming a hero, or pines for the renown that’s sure to be his if he evolves his Class into a [Master Glass Smith], but nothing ever changes—until suddenly, fate strikes, and nothing is ever the same again. These days, Nuri sees more magic, prestige, and adventure than he can handle as he gets swept up in realm-shaking conspiracies and desperate fights for his life. Maybe a boring life wasn’t so bad after all. Disclaimers: 1) Names were mostly chosen through random generators and aren’t necessarily final. If they seem derivative or boring, blame RNG. 2) Skills, Classes, levels, and the entire system is currently a work in progress; please be kind if it’s not very well fleshed out yet. 3) This is the first full-length novel I've set out to write without a single plot point ready. I had nothing in mind other than a recent visit to a hot shop. Molten glass is pretty awesome. 4) Related, I know much less about glass than I’d like. I did some research, but mistakes are bound to happen. If you have a correction, thanks! Please be polite about it. 5) The prose is my experimental attempt at first-person, present tense. I realize it may not be everyone’s preference, but I hope you’ll give it a try anyway!
