《King Of All Heavens》Chapter 8: Brother please don't boast too much

Wang Tian sat down in a cross-legged position and then started to cultivate. He searched his sea of consciousness and then saw the technique that Death had given him.
"Death"
"One lives to die..."
"One lives to become ashes and return to the earth..."
"Death is the supreme law"
"Death cannot be changed!"
"All will die!"
These words appeared inside Wang Tian's sea of consciousness. He then felt a sharp pain inside his Dantian.
"Wha-at?" He said while groaning.
"What is happening to my body?"
Wang Tian shouted loudly in pain.
"The power of Death are for those whom have already known death"
a voice said.
Wang Tian then noticed that the Qi inside his Dantian wasn't the same white and pure Qi. It had mixtures of a dark Qi that Wang Gui had seen earlier. Wang Tian found it to be somewhat similar to the Qi that he released when he was fighting that Devil Snake. 'What is this Qi? And where did it come from? How come it is inside my body? And why does it emanate a familiar feeling, a feeling that comes from ones kin?' Wang Tian thought to himself.
Wang Tian was in deep thought when all of a sudden, he felt a sharp pain inside his Dantian go all the way into his entire body.
The two opposite Qis were battling each other! And his Dantian was the battlefield! He somehow triggered the fight when he looked at the technique that Death gave him! It was as if the Dark Qi and the White Qi were on a standstill but then the technique that Death gave him tipped off the battle and put the Dark Qi at an advantage! The two Qis fought for a very long time while Wang Tian could only endure and do nothing but shriek in pain. The Dark Qi was like the emperor of evil while the White Qi was like the King of Goodness, the power from the heavens!
...
Unknowingly, two days have passed! The pain has subsided and Wang Tian was unconscious but his eyebrows were still arched. The two Qis inside his body stopped fighting and one Qi remained. Only the Dark Qi was present. The Dark Qi flowed out from his Dantian all the way to his entire body. It nourished his body, widened his meridians and then discarded the impurities inside his body. However, Wang Tian's left eye changed color. His eyes were now pure black like that of a Spider's. After a few moments, Wang Tian woke up.
"Why am i covered in this black liquid again? Did I have a breakthrough?" He mumbled to himself.
He recalled what happened and then said,
"So apparently, that Dark Qi and White Qi fought and it's been two days. I don't feel any pain now so I think the fighting is finished".
He then checked his Dantian and then was shocked, "Why is there only that Dark Qi here? And why is it so abundant? Moreover, I feel like it has gotten stonger than the last time I checked it."
Just when he was going to contemplate more about it, a disgusting smell invaded his nose. Then he recalled that he was still covered with the Black Liquid.

Wang Tian rushed out of his Cultivation Cave and then ran towards a part of the mountains were there was a river. Wang Tian removed his clothes and then jumped into the water.
Wang Tian sat cross legged inside the river and then tried to absorb the Qi from the atmosphere. After a few moments he felt pain in his Dantian. 'I can't absorb the Qi from the atmosphere now huh?' he thought to himself. He sighed and then entered his sea of consciousness. Wang Tian recalled what happened in the past few days and then remembered what the voice said.
"The power of Death are for those whom have already known death"
'What do these words mean?' He fell into deep thought and then unconsciously circulated the Dark Qi inside his body. The Dark Qi made his body emanate a proud, arrogant and evil aura.
"The power of Death are for those whom have already known death." He repeated the sentence.
'Death? But I have already died once! I already know that feeling! That dark and lonely feeling! I know how it feels! It is still fresh within my mind!' he thought to himself. He recalled that feeling of loneliness and darkness. He let his body feel it. His body went pale but the Dark Qi reverted it back to normal. This happened a hundred times until 2 hours passed.
"Click" this sound made Wang Tian get out of that state. He regained his composure. After a few minutes of adjusting himself, he checked his sea of consciousness to see where that sound came from. He looked at the technique and then saw that there was a spell with descriptions written all over.
'Decay?' he thought to himself.
'Decaying is a means of dying. One will eventually Decay. One will eventually die. All will decompose and return to earth.'
He read the words and then easily understood what it meant. "The bodies of people who died will eventually break down. Their flesh will rot and be eaten by the worms in the earth.
'If one uses this spell, the target will instantly Decay. Leaving not even a bone present.' he continued to read.
'One must congeal all of their Qi into their index finger. Chant the word, "Decay" and only then will the Qi be released and set forth towards the target.
Wang Tian was excited at this point.
'Heavens!'
'A powerful spell! How awesome would it be if I could easily kill my enemies? How awesome would it be to see their flesh rot while they scream in pain?' he laughed maniacally.
'Wait? What am I saying?!' he thought to himself.
Wang Tian fell into a daze and then a thought popped up in his mind. His eyes lit up and then he said to himself, "that feeling... It's the same feeling that I felt when I encountered that Devil snake. When I couldn't control my body."
"Is this...is this the effect of that Dark Qi?" He continued.
Wang Tian then swam back up from under the river. He looked at his reflection in the water and then gasped.
"woah! Why is my left eye pure black?!"
He exclaimed.
"But i didn't feel anything different when i first opened my eyes." He continued.

Wang Tian got out of the river and then put a new set of clothes on. "That spell was rather interesting. Maybe i should try it out?" Wang Tian mumbled to himself.
He walked unhurriedly towards a part of the mountain where there were yells and roars of wild beasts.
After a few moments, he saw a group of wild beasts talkng to each other.
"Brothers, I have gathered you here today so that we may discuss something." A beast with wings of a bat and the body of a bear spoke out in a serious tone. Apparently, this beast was their leader.
"Come on brother spill it out!" one beast yelled.
"Yeah brother don't keep us in suspense" the crowd nodded in agreement.
"Alright alright, do all of you know Brother Devil Snake? A few days ago, he was supposed to bring back fruits that could improve our cultivation. But up till today, we still haven't seen him." their leader said.
"We searched the entire mountain. We thought that he was dead! But we didn't find any corpse! We only found a bit of traces from where he had passed by but that was it!" The leader continued.
"Maybe he just abandoned us and took the fruits for himself!" Another beast said.
"Yeah! We all know his character! He likes to deceive people!" A beast yelled.
The crowd expressed their agreement with roars.
"I have already considered those reasons but I found them to not be the case. You see, I was the one who tasked him to do it. He maybe a bit deceptive but I knew him back when we were just cubs. When it comes down to the welfare of our kind, he acts intelligently." The leader said with a bit of sorrow.
"That is why i'd like for all of you to be careful..." The beast continued with his speech.
Wang Tian sneakily tiptoed backwards when he heard what the beast said. Although they were in another language, he could understand them. He didn't jnow why, but he just did. Wang Tian tiptoed backwards but he had dog-shit luck! He stepped on a branch. "Tick" the branch broke and that one sound attracted the attention of a beast.
He saw a beast looking at him with greed and hunger. Its head was that of a lion but its body was that of a centipede. The beast licked its mouth and then thought to itself,
'what do we have here? A delightful and tasty tiny specimen roaming around.'
The beast let out a small laugh and then thought to itself, 'this tasty specimen will surely have plenty of nourishment for my body! This is the second time I've seen one like it. I have to make sure that no one fights me for it!' its eyes flickered with light and then the beast sneakily crawled towards Wang Tian.
Wang Tian saw this and he broke into cold sweat.
'FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!' He cursed inwardly.
'Why do i have such bad luck?!!' he continued.
If anyone heard Wang Tian say this and knew of his invincibility, him being a Xiantian Lifeform and then his gift from death then they would surely die from excessive anger!
'Brother, aren't you boasting too much? You have all these things and yet you still dare to call yourself unlucky??! If you're unlucky then how about us? Please don't be like this. You'll make us die of envy!'
Wang Tian was about to freak out when he suddenly remembered, 'oh yeah, i'm invincible.'
Wang Tian snickered and then said slowly, "Come meet your grandfather you beast!"
The beast quickened its pace as if it understood human language.
'is this tasty snack provoking me? He's courting death!'
When the beast was nearing him, he raised his hand and then pointed his index finger towards the beast. He circulated all of his Qi towards the beast. The beast at first, felt confused at first. 'Does this tiny snack want me to eat his finger first?' but then it realized that he was deadly wrong!
The beast felt chills run down from its spine. Its eyes flickered with fear! 'shit! What is this power?! What is this being trying to do! I've got to get out of here!' The beast thought to itself.
Poor beast, it was already too late! He will now become the second beast to fall into victim by Wang Tian's spells!
"DECAY!" Wang Tian shouted. His Dark Qi then enveloped the beast. Wang Tian felt fatigue fill his bofy after he casted that spell. He checked his Qi and found that almost 90% of his Qi was used.
"Shit" he silently cried out. "I should be careful when I'm using this spell."
The beast that fell prey to Wang Tian's spell wailed in agony.
Its wails attracted the attention of the other beasts. When the other beasts saw this, they felt confused. They mused to themselves,
"isn't that brother lion-centipede?"
"Why is he acting strange?"
"Hey brother lion-centipede! Quit playing around!"
By this point, Wang Tian was hiding behind a tree and was watching the scene play out.
"yo brother lion-centipede are you shedding right now? Do you want some assistance?" One beast asked.
Brother lion-centipede roared painfully.
That beast misunderstood it for something else and said, "geez, i was only offering to help! No need to be so uptight"
"hey guys! Let's not disturb brother lion-centipede. He's undergoing shedding!"
The other beasts nodded in compliance but one beast saw something was wrong.
"Brother lion-centipede! What's wron---
"OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING TO HIM?!"
A beast shouted with fear.
"his skin!!!! It-its falling apart!"
"Aahhh!!!!!"
"Vlorgh" one beast threw up.
'Heavens! What have they seen?!'
They have killed tons of creatures before but they never have seen one of their kin slowly rot away alive!
Wang Tian didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this point. 'What a bunch of retards! Can't they see that their brother is dying?'
He then looked at the beast who was decaying. 'Hmmm, his organs are decaying. Oh and look! His bones are decaying too! So this was the thing that must have happened to that Devil Snake.'

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."

I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but better safe then sour.Comments, reviews, and constuctive criticizm is welcome, but please do recall that these works collectivly represent a great deal of my growth as a writer.Cover by the wonderful gej302! [Archive] Legend of the Nameless Hero
A WhiteSamurai original Web Novel There are always the mysterious tales of heroes, those who fight against the Demons, who fight for justice and those who head mighty quests against tyranny. Heroes that are born to destiny, Heroes that are forged through tragedy, and Heroes that are brought to the world in times of great peril and strife. Not all true Heroes are wanted or beloved, but all life understands, that throughout all time and space, for those who truly stand as Heroes, they never need to be called one. The sands of time are the only true judge for those who journey upon the true path, the only one they will ever need. This is the tale, no, the Legend, the Legend of the one who throughout all time, would forever be, the First Hero. This is Their story, a story of true hardship, of a sorrow greater than any other that would stand as a symbol of inspiration no matter the test of time. A tale of darkness, a true curse, an impending evil hidden beyond the horizons that threatened the very future of existence. This is the tale, of one of the few great figures, who, in the face of true evil, continued to stand. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Disclaimer: _______________________________________________________________ . . . All Chapters are subject to sudden revision, scrapping, or complete removal from the canonical storyline. The author of "Legend of the Nameless Hero" uses RoyalRoad as a method of experimentation with genre's and writing styles for Fantasy-style works for the sake of eventual publication. The end result isn't to release perfect chapters on RoyalRoadl, but eventually develop the story as intended using the best material to produce the highest quality work. The best mentality when reading works from WhiteSamurai is to see it as the ability to read and review pre-release transcripts or "Rough Copies" before publication. Viewer discretion and maturity are both requested and required. . . . _______________________________________________________________ :About: _______________________________________________________________ . . . This story follows direct character point of views along with an intentional third person narrative to explain to the readers what the characters won't. (I don't use my characters to go give extensive explanations for every last thing like EVERYTHING DOES) This tale shall encompass the life of the Hero from the moment she is summoned into the Kingdom of Kremor, to the Legendary Final Clash. This isn't your run of the mill hack and slash raise an army and conquer, I don't follow that bandwagon. Real life holds politics, intrigue, economics, structure, populations, civil opinions, history, psychology, heart, suffering, wonder, advancement, curiosity, ambition, and so many more things that would lead to me hitting some character limit. I refuse to take the same route that others use by simply ignoring these factors, my worlds, my stories, are as real as they get. There's no plot armor here, if someone screws up, they've screwed up and there's no magical sword in a well for them. I write in 'Seasons' not 'Books' as many often do, these are generally, not always, hundreds of chapters long, though as I have yet to finish a season, the average length is in the air. I go by an ideal of what I call 'Universal Lore' which includes the policy that things that exist within the story don't follow the rule where the Protagonist needs to be there so that it will happen. There will be some things that will happen, and the hero, and sometimes the reader, won't know happened until they enter a place, or news gets to them. A person needs to be in the right place at the right time, I hate plot holes and meta characters above all else... For my works, comments are practically demanded as reactions, thoughts, and various viewpoints are like sweet fuel to my writing spirit. Reviews are highly accepted and appreciated, BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE EDUCATED AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED. Those that throw down a low rating ARE HIGHLY REQUESTED to extensively detail and explain their viewpoints on the work. They should also be willing to come back to the work at a later date if messaged by the Author, Me, due to issues they mentioned being taken care of. I'm never against scrapping a chapter or rewriting several paragraphs if there are character or story discrepancies. I want the highest quality work possible, and every comment, every review, are tools for me to use to further that goal. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Status: (Ongoing)

Notebook of possibilities
First of all, to those who started reading this I want to apologize. While it does have a ring of a nice story title, this is going to be a place where I take the Sparks of interest from other stories or random ideas and just put it down, I'm not sure how exactly but the title should summarize the basics of what is held within. To say it's a waste isn't accurate, to ask the question why is a good start, why would I want this? Because when I read a story I want to think of so many things I may see or find in the world they envision, all the possibilities that could come about, and maybe, just maybe, some author out there can get their hands on this and it will be a spark of creativity for them to make a new chapter and see their world even a smidge closer to what I think it could be. It is tagged as fanfiction for it will pertain to numerous stories, not simply one in particular. Currently it will include; Oblivion Online Dungeon Heart And many more to be listed as they appear.
