1.05 Having Sora is awesome
Sura’s bro for life Brohimir instead of feeling sad for his friend being suspended from academy for 3 weeks, actually felt jealous. Brohimir was a lazy person and for him his friend getting a 3 week suspension was like 3 weeks holiday, as the syllabus already is completed, so there is no more reason to come to the academy anymore.
Riding back home with his aching body, Sura kept thinking about the dream, for the first thing he ought to do, was going to Old Han’s place to look for some work, he can’t stay at home doing nothing and he even got level 3 AI, he was now allowed to view the level 3 glyphs and circuits released to the public, so his horizons have expanded, he was still not adept at artifact making that he can make his own original designs, so copying the stuff was the only thing he can do.
“Helius… I thought you were out of the hospital?” Looking at the broken body of Sura, it would be a lie if Old Han didn’t feel a little bit surprised.
Old Han, as his name suggested was an old man with an unruly and dirty beard covering his face, Old Han used to sell only 2nd hand stuff. He bought the broken artifacts and appliances from customers at cheap price and then selling it at exorbitant price after fixing them. He used to have Sura working for him for the last 3years and the high level stuff Sura can’t fix was fixed by Han himself.
“I got into fight!....” Then looking at the old man, he continued again. “I am low on money… do you have any work?”
“First sit down… I can’t look at your sorry state standing up.” Ordering Sura to sit down, the old man went in the back of his shop and bringing out a bottle filled with green pellets. He took out one pellet and presenting him in front of Sura he continued. “Put this pill in your mouth.”
Sura’s eyes went wide, the pill Han presented him was sold 150 credits per piece named spirit healing pill, it used the spirit energy I the surrounding to heal the wounds, even though it was not enough to revive a dead person or mend a broken bone, it was still enough to heal injuries like Sura’s in a matter of 1 hour to a state that it doesn’t constrain his movements.
Sura didn’t act humble in front of Old Han, putting the pill in his mouth, Sura felt a sour and fishy taste spread through his mouth, after some time his body started to get heated up and at a visible rate his injuries were releasing steam and the cuts and bruises were slowly closing up.In just 1 hour most of his injuries will be fixed.Even though he looks like a unapproachable man, Old Han has a caring side too.
“Thank you Uncle!” The old man laughed, and then sitting in front of Sura, he asked again.

“Then how did you get this injured?... looking at your eyes, you don’t seem to get enough sleep too.”
“After leaving the campu……” Sura told the whole story of his fight and the main reason of his fight too, he hid the fact of his weird dream and him being possessed by some dead man. Even the reason he told for not sleeping was because of him tweaking with Sora.
“As you already got an high level AI.. I can give you some artifacts to fix, you need to get used to level 3 technology before you begin to work on the good stuff.”
Handing Sura some crystal glyphs, the old man took out a book and gave it to Sura.
“Fix this…if your work is good, I will give you more high level things, first you need to get used to level 3 glyphs.”
After leaving the Old man Han’s place, Sura promised in his heart that he is not going to forget about the medicine he just received. He need to make up for this pill by getting used to level 3 glyphs soon.
Reaching back to his home and knowing there was no one to bar him from sleeping anymore, he fell on the bed going back to deep sleep. Sura looked like a drunk person, he had forgotten about him getting possessed again.
Was he tired a lot or some other reason, he didn’t dreamed anything, it was only 2pm but considering the things he had been through he needed a much needed rest.
*****
“The tragedy that happened in sector 366 has made the new recruits a little scared.”
“Oh! The same place you were assigned to?”
Gerald was in prime of his age, he sat in the dining hall and ate with his friend, being so young and already being reaching master rank was enough for him to help him stand out from his peers, even the last place he was assigned to, the mortality rate of trainees was much lower considering the onslaught of demonic beast he faced, even a much experienced Master rank expert would not be able to gain such good results as Gerald.
“The higher ups are at my throat nowadays, they were restless for some reason after hearing my report of what I saw that day.” Gerald was ordered to not release his statement to public, but considering the man sitting in his front at the same post as he is, he couldn’t hide all the details.
“Well whatever it was, it was strong enough to rip the bunker made to withstand the attacks of rank 5 demonic beast. They are probably worried about a high level demonic beast roaming the outskirts of the cursed land.”
The military and the various supporting guilds have already issued a red alert, whatever it was, it was bigger than the people at Gerald’s level can deal with, and as all the trainees has been called home, Gerald had no one to train, he was completely empty handed.

“Those at the above always hide stuff from us… we are the ones risking our life here… they should at least tell us something.”
Gerald was a 26year old Master rank expert, he was moving towards mastering the chaotic flame, though him being an elementary level expert, he was only able to light fire of normal kind, but the fire having the chaotic property, it made it unsafe to be used when fighting with others, as he still didn’t had complete control over it.
“I am going home…. There is nothing to do anyway.!” Looking at his senior officer, Gerald nodded. It’s better to go home and rest instead of wasting time in cafeteria eating bland food.
******
Waking up, and looking around the room, Sura sighed, in front of him blinked a small screen again and again, he opened it to find being questioned by Brohimir where he was and where did he went after the principal’s office, he even questioned if he fell in a fight again, he was basically worried.
Answering his friend, Sura got up and went for a bath, the medicine he ate uses latent energy of the body to heal itself, it doesn’t provide with additional energy, so to wash away his fatigue, he went into bath.
It didn’t take him long before he was out and washing his hair, he looked at time .
“11:23 pm…. I slept for straight 9 hours?...”
Taking out the purchased chips and the glyph incriptor he ordered Sora to present all the fundamental designs for level 3 glyph.
Old man.. I already got some stuff to train…! While he was glad that Old Han was generous enough to give him training materials, but he had already purchased empty crystal chips and his old essence collecting glyph was still working.
Browsing through the various glyphs released to the public, he researched each glyph carefully and remembered the strong points of all the circuits, he hadn’t reached Hunter Rank yet, so his memorizing power was not that strong , and considering his latent talent, he won’t reach hunter rank until age 25 in the least.
So, where the section A students were able to become adept at any subject overnight, people like Sura were forced to study each material with absolute concentration and for multiple days straight only to reach the same level as the students who had already become hunter.
He looked through multiple glyphs, some were as easy as to make things float, some were heating and cooling glyph, and some were hard enough to cause a small explosion generating propulsion in a motored vehicle, with some simple tweaking, these simple glyphs can be easily used to become dangerous weapons, it was one of the main reason to make a condition of creating leveled information distribution.
People are able to access information if they owned the correct technology.
Sura began with simple elementary, he just tried to make a simple processing unit, to increase the processing power of his watch, and his watch can’t seem to keep up with the Sora AI. Even though he now had a neural link with Sora, it doesn’t mean he will set aside something given to him by his father.
After drawing the new processing unit of level 3 and changing the coils and cooling system, he placed all the things in his watch and then again integrated the Sora AI with it.
Seeing the holographic image surrounding his hand, he was happy. The watch didn’t get hot unlike previously and the interface seemed to be improved too, thanks to Sora. Even though from the outside it looked the same old watch his father handed him over, but it was now totally different device.
He continued studying new glyphs and arrays until the next day.
********
The next day.
“*DingDong”
Waiting outside the door Brohimir had a worried expression on his face.
Knocking on the gate again and seeing no response, the worry in Brohimir eyes get more instense.
While knocking harder on the door again, he shouted.” Helius! You in there?”
As Brohimir was getting ready to knock again, the door opened and a figure of Sura appeared in his sight. From looking at Sura’s face, he was still busy reading and learning new glyphs. Brohimir waved his hand in front of eyes. “Helius…..are you alive or dead?”
Sura didn’t replied he just went back into his room and sat on the floor before getting immersed in the circuits again.
Entering his room he found the room filled with crumpled papers and crystal dust, some crystals seemed to be destroyed while making the circuit glyph on them.
Brohimir sat in front of Sura and seemed him to tweak with a knife. He has joined a couple of wires and crystal chips to giving it an ugly look. Sura presented the knife in front of Brohimir and connected the buttoned essence batteries to it.
Knowing the habit of his friend and knowing that he may not talk, he took up the knife and pressed the button.
“What is this?” The blade of the knife started to get hot before having a red tint to it.
Brohimir thought for a second and as if understanding something asked.” Is it for selfdefense?... I tell you the heated blade will break off easily.. you need correct materials to make something like this.”
Sura shaking his head denied and the answered.” No it’s knife to cut butter!! I always hate to heat it if I want butter.”
Brohimir.”-----“
Sura continued.” This knife is to cut fillet of fishes… being cold maintains the freshness of the meat.” Presenting another knife from which cold steam was releasing, Sura had a smile on his face.
Brohimir.”-----“
“Brohimir?”
“You asshole.. I was worried you got into another fight or died sleeping in the bead… but what you were doing is to make specialist kitchen knife…. Do you want to become a knife salesman?”
Sura.”-----“
