"You are giving me a present. Well its not my birthday but sense you insist I will accept."

"A book? It looks interesting at least now lets see who wrote it. You did and you dedicated it to me."

'For showing me the way to success.'

"That is kind of you to do. I must admit that I never wrote a book myself. Have I ever told you that, you see it was my sister that was the writer not me. I just loved to read."

"Have I told you that story? I have well sorry but in old age the mind sometimes slips. Got to many memories up in the old noodle if you know what I mean. Well how about something to inspire your next book."

I was with a small group on nomads around 40 years ago and we were crossing the sahara desert with camales. It was hot and the people were kind. They would give you water if you were thirsty. Now I now that does not sound like much but in the desert where water is scarce and worth more then gold it says plenty about a mans character. It tells you how much they value human lives.

Among this group there was a girl. She wanted to see the city and when I told her that I had traveled as far as I have she wanted to know everything in the way that only kids can. Her father asked if I would awnser her questons when we next came to a stop.

Late that night as we all sat around a fire to keep warm I told her about the buildings that reached into the very heavens and scraped the bottom of the sky. I told her about the long beast that snake across the land and move entire cities worth of cargo. I told her about the people that would give you the shirt off their backs.

I also told her about those that want nothing more then to see the entire world burn to the ground. I told her about the weapons that were death to everyone and could have destroyed the entire world on several occasions. I told her about those that care so little as to throw entire familys out on the streat instead of just giving them a hand.

I told her about the Evils that I had seen along with the Glory. At the end of the night she no longer had eyes filled with excitment but now with drive. She would see so much of the world before she fell but she was always happy to meet strangers to share water with.
