Catherine was wearing a lose jeans trouser and one of Ace's t-shirt. She sat before the vanity mirror putting on her lip gloss as some of the servants pull out their luggages.

They will be returning to London that same day and she was just getting ready. Ace left for his Mom's room 30 minutes ago and she was still waiting for him to get back to her.

The door was pulled opened and Ace walked in. Catherine stared at him through the mirror and cocked her head to the side, scrutinizing him as he walked up to her.

“You ready, Butterfly? We don't have much time.” He said as he grabbed his hair brush from the vanity.

Catherine packed her make-up kits inside her make-up bag and stood up from the chair, she turned around to face Ace and smiled lovingly at him, her eyes almost closing. “Ready. What did you talk about with your Mom?” She asked her, she walked towards the bed and grabbed her handbag then straightened herself.

“Just school stuff and our security of course,.” He responded and took her hand in his. “We should get going, it is 11:46 a.m already.”

Ace took her hand and led her out of the room. As they climb down the staircase Catherine couldn't help the erratic sound of her heartbeat. She felt uneasy.

“Are you okay, Butterfly?” Ace asked, his eyes searching her face. “Your face is flushed and you don't seem like you're here with me."

Catherine squeezed her eyes shut and took in a deep breath. “I am fine.” She whispered to him.

When they got outside the house she saw their bags getting put inside the car trunk.

She brought out her phone from her bag and dialed her mother's number. “Ill just make this call quick.” She said to Ace, who gently nod his head. Catherine stepped aside as she await her mother to pick up.

"Hello," Her mother answered her.

"Good day, Mom." She greeted and pressed her lips together. "I forgot to call you last night, Mrs Hampton sent me a message to deliver to you."

The other end of the call was silent and after a while her mother cleared her throat. "What is it?"

“ I hate having bad press associated with my family's name, Catherine and your mother is doing just that. Very soon you will be mentioned and the Hamptons name will get brought up. I want this case to be quick and done with, I'll lend her some of my legal team. Tell her that. That was what she said." Catherine responded.

"Tell Veronica Hampton that I can fight my own battle. I don't need help." Her mother spats angrily.

"Mom!" She whispered yelled. She couldn't understand why her mother would react like that when Veronica Hampton was only trying to help out.

She saw absolutely nothing wrong with it.

“What? It is true. She look down on me. Just because she is Veronica Hampton doesn't mean shit.” Mrs Meyers said. Catherine glanced at Ace who raised her eyebrows at her but she shook her head.

"Mom, you and I almost died because of that man. Your husband and Mrs Hampton's husband died because of him. Things went all wrong because of him. If Mrs Hampton want to help them she have every right to do, it is her right." She snarled, Catherine started walking towards Ace and placed her hand on top of him. "You are really infuriating, Mom."

After saying her last words she hung up the phone. Ace chuckled softly and tightened his hand around her waist. Catherine didn't even know when his hand got to her waist.

"You are getting bold with your mother, Butterfly. Tone it down a little bit." He told her gently. She looked up at him in surprise but still nodded her head.

“I'm sorry." She whispered to Ace who just nodded his head. She hated the fact that she was losing control before her husband.

The door of the SUV was pulled opened for them and Catherine got in after which Ace followed behind.

"I can't get over how beautiful this jet is, Babe. We went to Jamaica with the golden one, this is white." She pointed out. Her head on Ace's laps and her eyes watching him.

“Yes, there are five of them like this.” Ace responded while sipping on his glass of wine.

"What are we eating tonight, Butterfly?" Ace asked Catherine, he was inside the living room, watching the evening news and Catherine was making herself a cup of hot tea inside the kitchen.

“Shall we order in or go out and eat? I'm tired, I can't cook for shits.” She yelled from the kitchen. Ace rolled his eyes and got up from the couch.

He walked towards the kitchen and stopped at the entrance, his body resting against the wall.

“Let's go out and eat then. That will be more fun.” He said to her and she nodded her head.

“After drinking this sweet tea, I'll go and get ready.” She muttered. Ace walked inside the kitchen opened the fridge, he grabbed a bottle of water from turned to leave but Catherine stopped him.

"When you went to the forest house yesterday, did you meet with Kisa Queens?" She asked. The question threw him off guard and he quickly compose himself.

Never to be caught off guard. He was after all the Ace Hampton.

"She is now dating Anitra, of course she'll be there." He responded casually. "Why are you asking?"

Catherine bit her lip hard and nodded her head.

Whatever.

“Okay.” She replied, gulped down the tea and walked out from the kitchen.

Ace took her to one of the high end first class restaurant in the city, their securities around them. The steak was good, the wine tastes good and the environment was romantic. She was having one of her best night after a long time.

Not even the looks that the other upper echelons that were there fazed her.

The night was going smoothly until she heard Ace's name fall seductively from her lips.

Chelsey Black.

"Isn't it the great, Ace Hampton. What brings you to the street of London tonight?" She questioned.

“What are you doing out here as well? Of course you can see clearly. We're having dinner.” Catherine snapped, Chelsey turned to her direction and twisted her head to the side and slowly lifted her eyebrows up.

“Did you just talked back at me, Catherine Meyers?” Chelsey asked.

“I beg to differ, Miss Black. It is Catherine Hampton to you.” Catherine retorted and gently picked up her wine glass. “ What were you saying again?”

Chelsey couldn't believe what she was hearing and Ace couldn't suppress his smile.

He was proud of her.

“You can leave if you have nothing important to say, Chelsey. I'm having a good time with my wife.”Ace said and placed his hand on top of Catherine's which was laying on top of the table carelessly.

Chelsey snorted unladylike and chuckled. “This is interesting. You made a huge mistake with this one, Ace Hampton. From Kisa Queens and I to the daughter of a bankrupt plastic doll.” She said disrespectfully, waiting for Catherine to react to her words.

"She did cosmetic surgery because her body was damaged but run along with your made up story, Chelsey. That still won't fix your ruined image."

"Fuck you, Catherine Meyers." She shouted angrily, Catherine could feel everyone's eyes on them, some were already recording the scene while their security were trying to stop them from capturing the mess.

Ace stood up from the chair and took Catherine's hand. "Let's go."

As they were walking away Chelsey picked up the glass of wine and threw it on Catherine's skull and the glass shattered on the ground. Gasps could be heard all around the restaurant, Catherine could feel her eyes getting blurry as securities rushed Chelsey.

"Leave me alone! I'm going to kill you, Catherine. I'll kill you!" She kept yelling like a mad woman.

"Hold on there, Butterfly. You'll be fine." Ace whispered frantically.

"Hospital!" He screamed loudly.
