《The Alpha Bully》Chapter 64

I got down from my car and grabbed my backpack from the passenger's seat before slamming the door shut.
I was nervous wrecked and restless.
Ever since Mom opened up to me about our situation.
It got worse.
Uncle Alex took Mom to court, he said that Mom couldn't handle the company and that was why it's currently failing and I can't do anything because I'm still a teenager.
A fucking teenager.
I hate the fact that I can't do anything to help my mother.
This is the time when a big bad wolf like uncle Alex has been looking for and now he found it.
Now he'd use it against us in court and have a high chance at becoming the company's new head.
I'm going to be sick.
I glanced up at the huge skyscraper in front of me with the Meyer's name on it.
Meyers Enterprise.
My heritage.
Mine.
I can't believe that I'm letting it slip away from me.
I had to do something.
Anything at all.
I could ask Anitra for help. I could ask Talia. Both of them could help me in anyway they can. Either by talking to their parents on my behalf for help or any monetary help.
But I won't.
I don't want to be the kind of friend that depends on her friends to fix her shit for her.
I don't want to be that girl anymore.
I just don't want to be. I want to be my own person and sort out my own shit..... Solve my own problems which includes my family problems.
I walked towards the front door and pushed it opened. The two guards standing at the front door greeted me and I nodded my head. My eyes scanning the area.
"Miss Meyer's, to what do we owe this visit. I heard that you're currently schooling in Harvard. How busy you must have been."

That voice.
Antonio. He was Uncle Alex alley. A snake whom we didn't know was among the board members until we were stung.
Someone I would have preferred not to run into this hot afternoon.
"My visit have nothing to do with you, Antonio. The last time I check this company still belongs to my family." I said between gritted teeth.
He tipped off his imaginary hat mockingly and started walking away.
Every eyes on the first floor were all on me.
Everyone was watching me. Waiting for me to breakdown and cry my eyes out.
But I'm not going to do that.
Not in front of my employees.
I have to at least put up a font that I'm not weak.
I'm strong.
"Go back to your works now. The show is over." I said before walking towards the elevator.
"Good afternoon Miss Meyers." Sandra, my Mom's secretary greeted me.
"Hey Sandra, is Mom in? I didn't tell her that I was coming." I said and her eyes slanted to the door before shaking her head.
"Wait here for her, she have an important guest inside her office." I was told.
An important guest?
I wanted to know who the important guest was but I took a chair before Sandra and placed my ass on it.
Thirty minutes later and Mom's office door was yanked opened.
Mrs Veronica Hampton.
Not even in a million years would I have thought she was the important guest.
What the hell is she doing here? In my company? In London? How is that possible?
She stopped when she saw me. Her bloody red painted lips twitched as she walked towards me, her Chanel stiletto clicking on the floor like a time bomb.
"Catherine Meyers, is it?" She asked.

"Mrs Hampton. What are you doing here?" I questioned her immediately. She wiped her sunglass with the towel and smiled coldly.
I could feel it down my spine. The sinister meaning behind that smile.
It wasn't good.
"I happened to hear about your company's misfortune. As you must know I opened an organization where I help struggling companies like your own, so I thought I might do you some charity and help. I wasn't expecting to see you here at all." She explained.
No.
There was more to it.
"Help? How?"
She smiled and tapped something on her phone screen before looking back up at me.
"How else do you want me to help? By buying your company of course." She said and took a step towards me. "You see, Ace and Chelsey are planning their wedding soon and you..... Your little hope is about to dim in a minute. I won't pass on this offer if I were you little girl."
She wore her sunglass and started walking towards the elevator before she stopped again.
"I will wait for a response. After 48 hours and there's still nothing then I shouldn't be blamed for not helping."
Oh my goodness.
Oh my goodness.
I can't believe what was happening before my very own eyes.
I couldn't believe what our lives was about to turn into?
I can't let Mrs Veronica Hampton buy Meyers Enterprise.
I just can't.
This company is mine.
My legacy.
What rightfully belong to me.
The door to Mom's office open and her head popped out.
"Oh... I knew that I heard your voice." She said and smiled softly at me. "Come in, Catherine."
I feel sorry for my mother.
She has been trying to stay strong.
She had to run back to London months ago because she wanted to control everything before it spiral out of control but unfortunately it didn't help.
Here we are. In a fucking junction.
Not knowing what to do or how to do it.
Not knowing the way to go.
It's either Mrs Veronica Hampton buys Meyers Enterprise and be the new owner or have Uncle Alex drag us to court and embarrass us. Not to mention the bank.
We were in huge trouble.
I couldn't even spare a second to think of the message Mrs Veronica Hampton just let out.
Ace was getting married.
What a lucky year and a tough lucky day I was having.
