When a Rodriguez has the opportunity to get revenge we take it fully. My sister takes the cash happily before shoving it into her pocket

"Umm, how did you guys know we were here?" I ask

Logan shrugs, "I have Junes location on my phone-

"What it's for safety reasons" He defends

"So.... Why have we been AWOL?" Carter asks me

"Quality time" I answer

"Mom found out about Stacey" Lola answers

He raises his eyebrows with surprise, "For real? What did she say?"

"She called her a sinner, oh and then a demon, then Stacey left" I recite

"Who's Stacey?" Aaron frowns

"The new redhead in tenth grade" Logan replies

"Lola's girlfriend" Zoe corrects

"Wait that's who you meant when you said you were dating someone?" Aaron questions

I frown as I look at him, "Wait a minute you knew?" I scoff

"I thought everyone knew Lola was gay...."

"Evidently not"

Carter puts an arm around me, "But speaking of girlfriends, yours just walked right in" He nods to my sister

Lola widens her eyes as she looks back, "Shit"

Stacey is in fact upfront at the till, ordering food. She hasn't noticed us since we're at the far booth but she's in our point of view, "Nows your chance"

She takes her AirPods out before sliding out of the booth and zipping up her hoodie. My little sisters finally growing up..... it's weird.

"How was school?" I ask as my boyfriend assesses my plate of food

All I had was a chicken salad

"Is this your first meal?"

"Well I spent the morning looking for Lola so I didn't really have time to eat" I reply

He finishes my coke, "We're going to the convenient store"

"Did you skip class?"

He shakes his head as I pull him towards me, "Are you lying to me?"

"No" Carter murmurs before kissing me, I close my eyes as I hold him against me for longer than usual

His tongue pokes at my lips asking for an entrance and as I open it he slides the two mints that he was sucking on into my mouth, Aaron looks at us weirdly, "You guys are disgusting"

Carter wraps his arms around my torso, "It's ok to be mad that Zo hasn't taken you back yet"

He pouts and Zoe kisses him on the cheek, "He's getting there"

Logan snorts in return, "Enough with the torture Zo he's been through enough"

"He has" Carter agrees

"Well I think that Zoe should wait until she feels ready to take him back" I defend

June nods as she finishes off her drink, "Mm-.... Me too"

"I thought we were friends" Aaron glares

"We are, and that's why I haven't told Logan that your the one who put the dent in his car"

"Wait what?" Logan frowns as he looks between them

June pauses from eating, "Oh dang did I expose you?.... My bad"

Clearly she's not sorry

"Your dead" Logan says to Aaron

Aaron leans forward before picking up a menu and I smile

I walk over to Stacey as she leans on the till, I was surprised to see that she was still wearing one of the bracelets that I had gotten for her, "Hey" I finally say

She looks back with surprise, "Hi"

I didn't say anything for a second, I was thinking about so many ways I could apologise... but then I realised that the more you think, the more complicated it gets.

"Stace I'm so sorry, my mom she just.... I didn't think she was gonna find out and believe me I am so so pissed at her for saying all that stupid shit and if you wanna break up with me then I get it but I really hope you don't, I'll-

I was very shocked at first but I eventually hugged her back with closed eyes....I missed her touch, "Happy birthday" She says softly

"Stacey?" A voice questions

She turns around before taking a paper bag from the lady at the till, "Where are you coming from?" I ask her

"Home.... Wanna come back and see your gift?"

"You got me a gift?"

She takes my hand with a playful look, "I didn't stop wearing rings on my middle fingers for nothing"

I widen my eyes with surprise, "Let me tell my sister we're leaving"

She nods before standing by the door

"You know, I didn't think that you'd have this much shopping bags" Carter frowns as we walk up the porch steps that lead to my house

"You offered to carry"

"Yeah because I thought it was a few" He scoffs

I unlock the door before sniffing, "What's that smell?"

Adriana comes down the stairs, "Santi's baking -.... Ooh you went shopping?" She inspects the bags

"Yes but some of these are Lola's so don't touch"

"Where is she?"

"At Stacey's" Carter answers before sitting on the couch

"Wait she's actually got a girlfriend?"

"Yup"

My sister takes it excitedly, "I won't"
