《Abandoned ✔️》Chapter 45- you're my friend, hate her with me

After what seemed like an eternity of sitting on the side with my friends, I finally chug down my last drink. "I'll go get—" I stand up but Ian pulls me back down to the chair.

"I think that's enough," he says and I roll my eyes at him.

"Maybe one more won't—" I start but Ian cuts me off.

"I think three's a charm," he says and I groan.

"Don't be a party pooper now Ian," I laugh.

"I can't let you pour down another drink now Venus, it's been your third," Ian scolds me and I roll my eyes. "I don't want you to go back into rehab again."

"I thought you stopped drinking," Kate says and I scoff.

"Yeah? Well, I thought same thing until I found a quacking duck trying to hit on cayson, right in front of me. Now, he is quite happily spending his quality time with her," I could hear the jealousy in my words as I watch Cayson laughing at something the blonde said.

"C'mon Vee, they're just friends. They have known each other ever since they were little kids. Also, she does have a name and it's Vanessa," violet laughs and I glare at her.

"Why are you taking her side?" I frown. "You're my friend, hate her with me."

Kate and violet chuckle. "You can't hate someone in one glance."

"Oh yeah you can. That's me everyday," Tyler laughs and I nod.

"See, Tyler agrees," I high five him.

"I haven't seen you like this Vee, not even with Liam. Jealousy doesn't suit you," Kate says and I scoff.

"This is no jealousy, this is just me trying to spend my time with my boyfriend but a random quacking duck decides to take him away from me," I roll my eyes and pour down Ian's drink sitting on the table.

"Venus, we are going home," Ian says and stands up.

"We are not," I narrow my brows. "I can't leave until I give Cayson his birthday present."

I look towards the other side of the room where Cayson is talking to the quacking duck. They seem to have an amazing time together. Cayson seems on his best term right now, with her.

Maybe with me all he gets is sadness but he seems happy with her. I half chuckle to myself and then my head to Ian once again.

"Well, why don't we hurry up?" Ian says, annoyed as he sits back down.

"What's wrong?" I ask him and he shakes it off and I decide to not ask anything else. "Maybe, we should just go home. He will see my present in his other presents."

"Vee—" Kate starts but I shake my head.

"You guys can stay if you'd like but I'm sleepy anyways. I should catch up on some sleep tonight, I'll be tired tomorrow as it's the blood drive," I say and they all stand up as Ian and I do.

"I'd rather go home and catch some Z's too," Tyler says and they all nod.

"Want me to drive you back?" Ian offers and I shake my head.

"You should go to your house, I brought my car. I'll manage," I answer and we walk outside the hall.

I stop at the door and look back at Cayson who doesn't seem to notice anything other than the girl. I sigh deeply and without another glance, I leave.

I close the windows of my bedroom and turn the lights off before laying in bed.

I can't think of anything other than my biological parents. I can't wait to meet her again. The first time I saw her, I saw myself in her. I knew there was something there and me I find out that she's my mother.

I even have a half sister and she's ten. Oh. I can't believe that I actually found my family. Maybe that's all I needed to fix my broken self.

My mind drifts off to Cayson. I know I shouldn't think about him and the girl of anything more than friends but what if they have something with each other.

They didn't seem like just friends to me. The girl definitely likes Cayson but he doesn't think so because he's too naive to think otherwise.

How can he just forget about me? I threw this party for him because I wanted to spend time with him. Ever since he spotted her at the party, he just talked to her.

He's someone who never judged me, the only other person, except my friends that never judged me. I never asked him about what happens in his life. I was always too invested in my own life to know about his.

The girl started the conversation with him about him. Crazy, right? Then, Cayson excused himself and started talking to her.

Sometimes I feel as though Cayson is just too good for me. As though he's only with me because of our contract.

I sigh and pull the blanket up to my face and close my eyes as I drift into sleep.

Not long after, I am awaken by the sound of something hitting my window. I sit up in my bed and look at my windows, finding small rocks being thrown to them. Not big enough to crack my window but small enough to make sound.

I walk towards my window as I slowly open it and find someone standing in my backyard who's physical features match cayson's.

"Cayson?" I confusedly mutter while rubbing my eyes when I spot someone in my backyard.

"Hi," he says as he puts the ladder to my window and slowly climbs up and stops at my window.

"Hey, what- what're you doing here?" I ask and he holds onto the window.

"You left without saying bye," he frowns. "I needed to know that you were fine."

"I'm fine," I reply back.

"What happened?" He asks and I shake my head.

"Nothing worth your while. Anyways, how was the party?" I ask, not knowing what else to talk about.

"I loved it, thank you," he says and I nod. "I did miss you though. I was searching for you when the song played so I could dance with you."

"Maybe next time," I mutter as he extends his arm and I pull him inside my room. "You could've called, also there's something called the front door which people use these days to enter homes."

He smiles. "I did call, I left like hundred messages. You just didn't pick up and I think the doorbell doesn't work anymore."

"I'm sorry, it must've died," I reply back and he puts his phone on the table and a song plays in the background. "What- what's this?"

"The song you missed and the one you owe me," he smirks and extends his arm out.

I raise my brows before taking his hand. He smiles before pulling me closer and my body sways against his. Our feet are moving in sync as if we both know each other's steps very well. My eyes never leave his as we keep slow dancing.

I slowly put my head on his chest as we keep dancing, now he holds me closer to him. I feel safe in his arms, more safer than anywhere else.

"Can I tell you something?" He asks and I nod against his chest, intertwine our fingers together as we rock back and forth. "No, you will probably run away."

"I would not," I scoff and I can feel him nod.

"Maybe if I tell you this, you might," he says and I shake my head slowly.

"I would never run away from you," I answer back. "Tell me."

"Well, I have started to- I uh- I think I'm falling in love with you Stavish," he says and my eyes widen in shock.

I don't respond for a while and he sighs. "Yup, you're going to run away," he says and I shake my head.

"No, I won't. I just- I don't know what to say other than I also feel the same way," I say and he chuckles.

He pulls my head up by his index finger, making me face him. "You do?" He asks and I nod. "You won't run away?" I shake my head.

"I love you Venus," he says, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you Cayson," I breath out as our foreheads are touching each other. I smile knowing that Cayson doesn't feel the same way for the girl as he does for me.

He loves me!
