《Abandoned ✔️》Chapter 44- it doesn't give off a very romantic vibe

"Mm," I turn myself to the side and keep my head on a hard object which is so comfortable that I don't move away from it.
I slowly open my eyes and find a hand close over my eyes, covering my eyes from the rays of the sun.
"Morning," Cayson says moving his hand away from my eyes and I squint as the sunlight shines on my eyes.
"What?" I jump in my seat and look around to find myself at the back of a car and on Cayson's lap. I groan and try to get up but hit my head on the roof and he chuckles.
"You do realize we are in a car right?" He laughs and I slowly scoot myself to the right.
"What- how did we- did I fall asleep?" I ask and he nods with a smile on his face.
"Last night, we reached your house but it was cold outside and you wouldn't wake up so I laid you down in the backseat. But, you wouldn't let go of my hand so I stayed here with you thinking you would let go soon but then I fell asleep," he says and I look down at our intertwined fingers.
My cheeks start to burn and I can fell that it's red. Thankfully he can't see me staring at him through my bangs.
"Sorry," I take my hand away and he smiles. "Oh, it's your birthday, we need to throw you a party. Crap, I don't have a gift for you yet."
"No need, this is and will be the best birthday gift I could ever get," he meant us and I just blush at his choice of words.
"Still I need to find something," I say and look outside the window. "That's my house, oh god last night."
"It'll be fine stavish, you'll see her soon and you can talk to her about everything. I don't think she'll like how we both followed her but you know what, you can leave that part out," he winks and I smile.
"Thanks for coming with me," I say and he smiles.
"I need to get home, my father will be waiting," he says and I nod. "See ya later?"

"How about tonight, at 7 sharp?" I ask and he nods.
"I'll pick you up," he offers and I shake my head.
"How about we change a few things and I pick you up? I have to take you somewhere," I smile.
"You can be a gentlewoman for the day," he smirks and I nod. "Do you mind telling me what to wear because I don't think showing up in jean shorts is the best idea."
I chuckle. "I think a suit will be sufficient."
"Suit, it is," he smiles.
"Until then," I get out of the car and he drives away.
___
When I walk inside the bathroom, I can see the flashes of my biological parents fighting with each other. They both want the best for me and here I am, pulling away from them.
I need to see her as soon as I can. Tomorrow we have a blood drive at school and I am donating blood. I won't be able to skip but I can go by the hospital later.
I clean myself up and take a shower before heading downstairs to plan out the evening for Cayson.
"Venus," Ian hurried over to me and I sigh deeply when I realize that all my friends are sitting in my living room.
Crap, I forgot to tell them.
"Where were you?" Ian asks when I walk inside the living room.
"Are you okay?" Kate asks and I nod.
"What happened?" Tyler asks.
"Why'd you leave?" Violet asks.
"Where'd you go?" Chris asks.
I sigh deeply and sit down on the couch.
"Guys, guys I'm fine. I'm perfectly fine. Last night when we all fell asleep, Mrs. Chivalry finally came. We talked and then she had to leave because Richard did something. You guys were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you guys so, Cayson and I followed her," I answer and hear Ian sighing in relief.
"Tell us everything," Kate asks and I nod as I tell them everything that happened last night, leaving out the morning part of Cayson as I. All their faces hold shocked expression while they take a sigh of relief.
"I'm sorry, I know I should've left a message of something but it all happened so fast that I couldn't think anything through," I say and violet puts her hand on my shoulder.

"It's fine, you just had us worried, that's all," she says softly.
"I'm planning on meeting her after our blood drive at school tomorrow. For now, we have a party to plan," I say with a smile prominent on my face.
___
My friends and I finally finished decorating the hall which I reserved for the night for cayson's birthday party.
I didn't know who all to invite so I ended up inviting the whole school and told his older brother, Caleb to bring his family too.
Cayson never really talked about his family much, of course I was always tangled up in my own mess that I never asked him about his family.
I hope he has all the fun in the world tonight because he deserves everything. There's nothing I wouldn't do for him after everything he has done for me and how he has stayed by my side.
If he can accept me for everything I am and was then, I think I can handle random people for one night. I can think of them as quacking ducks maybe.
"What time is the birthday boy coming?" Kate asks as she safely returns to Chris' arms.
"I'll go pick him up," I answer and she smiles as I leave.
I pull up outside a mansion which is suppose to be cayson's house according to google maps and Caleb, Cayson's older brother.
I sigh and ring the doorbell. Not even a minute later, the door opens revealing Cayson in a three piece Armani suit. When his eyes meet mine, a small gasp escapes his lips and he just stares at me.
His eyes scan me top to bottom and something shines in his eyes. "Wow," he breathes out and I look away with a huge smile on my face. "You look breathtaking."
I smile. "I think that was my line but thanks, so do you."
"Are you ready?" I ask and he nods in return.
"Always ready," he replies back with a soft smile on his lips.
"Well, then may I?" I extend my hand towards him and he smiles before taking my hand in his and we leave.
"Where are we going?" He asks as he opens the driver's door for me and I sit down.
"I think that's a secret which you'll soon find out," I whisper and he frowns and sits down in the passenger seat.
"C'mon stavish, tell me," he asks but I shake my head.
"I don't want to ruin the surprise," I tell him and he pouts.
"One hint?" I shake my head.
After him asking me for the millionth time about the surprise, I pull up to the hall. "We're here."
We get out of the car and he just looks around, confused about what's going on. "Is there a club inside this hall? Why is it dark? You know I turned nineteen and not twenty one right? I don't think it's legal to go into a club," he shoots all these questions at me and I just chuckle before pulling him into the hall.
He intertwined our fingers together and grips on my hand tightly. From my other hand, I open the door to the hall and it's pitch black. Guess everyone is hiding well and he doesn't suspect a thing.
"Are you like secretly a serial killer? I mean no offense but a dark hall on my birthday night doesn't give off a very romantic vibe, does it?" he nervously chuckles.
I turn to look at him and I can see his green eyes in this dark, glistening. He blinks more times in a second than I do in a minute.
"Chill little shit, I'm not a serial killer. But, I am a perfect party planner," I say and the lights turn on and everyone jump out of their seats and shout 'Happy Birthday Cayson.'
He jumps when he hears everyone but then smiles. His eyes find mine and then he looks back at the crowd. "Is this- is this for me?" He asks and I nod in response.
"Happy birthday little shit," I kiss his cheek and he blushes.
"Thanks stavish," he smiles and pulls me into the crowd.
