《Abandoned ✔️》Chapter 31- it's all yours

I reach my room and start to clean it up because a lot of my old stuff is also here, rusting and catching dust.

I open the closet and find a lot of books which I love reading. I find some drawings from when I was 10, Chris and I used to draw together.

I smile and pull out a picture of us. A picture of the six of us which was taken when we were 11. I remove the dust off the picture and smile at it.

Wow, it has been eight years since this picture.

After I was adopted by mom, I got to know of this barn house and decided to store a lot of my stuff here. Or else mom would throw it all out because she thinks of it as useless.

I pull out another box which contains clothes from our first theatre play that we performed in.

I remember it was a tragedy play but it turned into a funny one because all of us kept messing up and created a lot of fuss.

I chuckle at the remembrance of the first play which brought all of us close. I smile as I pull out a picture of us at that play.

At the left is Chris and next to him is Kate, both looking at each other with a smile. They've always been cute.

Then there is Ian and I, looking at the camera and smiling because we were the only photogenic ones back then.

Then there is Tyler and violet, almost ready to rip each other's throats out as they try to fit into the same frame. They have always been fighting.

I smile and pull out another picture which was taken last year on Ian's birthday. This time all of us are smiling decently at the camera and it's the perfect picture.

I smile and brush the dirt off of it.

I find a necklace which is covered in mud and I decide to wash it. I walk towards the bathroom and suddenly it opens revealing Cayson in a towel, who is currently wet and the water is dripping from him and onto the floor.

He looks up and finds me staring at him. I try to take in what's happening but he screams and I also scream and he quickly walks into the bathroom and closes the door.

"What happened?" I finally ask when I stop screaming.

"Nothing. What are you doing here?" He asks, peeking from the door.

"Umm... this is my room. What are you doing here?" I ask.

"Showering," he replies back.

"Oh," I breath out and he sighs.

"Why did you scream?" He asks me and I scoff.

"I screamed because you screamed. Why did you scream?" I ask.

"I screamed because I thought you were someone else," he replies back. "I got scared."

Aww, he's so cute.

"So, are you planning on coming out of the bathroom?" I ask and he shakes his head sideways. "Why?"

"Can you pass me my clothes?" He asks pointing towards the clothes sitting on top of his bag.

Is he shy?

I walk to his bag and take his clothes from there and walk to the bathroom to give it to him.

"Here," I reply back, turning the other way and holding his clothes out on my arm.

I feel his hand moving around as he's trying to feel where my hand is. Suddenly he grabs his clothes but they get stuck in my bracelet and he pulls me along with the clothes.

In a split second I find myself inside my bathroom and in front of him. His eyes almost pop out as I look at him.

He quickly pulls his clothes to his chest and my hand lands on his chest. Not realizing that there is water on the floor, I slip. He quickly puts his arm out and catches me before I fall.

I take a sigh of relief because I didn't hit the floor. I sigh as he pulls me up and I try to get the clothes out of my bracelet.

"Wait, my bracelet is stuck," I say and he tried to cover his bare chest with the clothes I passed him.

He looks everywhere but my face. As I'm taking the bracelet out, I notice that he's flustered. He is so embarrassed that his face is turning as red as a tomato.

I quickly unhook my bracelet from his clothes and walk outside and close the door behind me.

Talk about staying away from him. I can't do a simple task, he's everywhere.

I sigh and close the closet.

As I'm walking outside the room, the bathroom door opened and I turned around to look at Cayson, fully dressed now.

"Uhm- I uh- I'm sorry for coming into this room. It's just the other rooms were locked and I didn't know which one was whose so," he apologizes and slowly walks towards me.

"It's fine," I reply back.

"I uh- what were you doing?" He asks, scratching his collar.

I look at his hand and then back at him. "I was going to clean out my closet, it's been a while."

He smiles and clasps his hands together. "Let's do it," he suggests.

He looks at the closet and back at me. I give him a confused look and he just raises his brows.

"You want to help me clean my closet?" I ask and he nods with a smile. "There's a lot of things in there."

"I don't mind, I'll help if it means I get to know you better," he says.

I look at the closet and then back at him who's currently smiling. "Okay, but promise me that you won't touch anything."

He nods and I hold my pinky in the air. He chuckles and shakes it with his pinky. "Alright, let's do this."

I walk towards the closet and open it. He gasps at all the things inside my closet. I sit down and he does the same, next to me.

I open a bag which contains all the yearbooks I've bought and the silly things they wrote in it.

Cayson looks at it and laughs as he reads silly notes everywhere. I look at him who's flipping through the pages while laughing. I smile to myself.

Now there's only one box left which I'm not going to open. I close the bags and stand up while he looks up at me in confusion.

"There's one bag left," he says, pointing to the last red bag.

I look at the red bag and sigh. It brings out a lot of memories that I want to forget and never think of.

"We don't open that bag," I reply back and look away.

He stands up and closes the closet door. He doesn't question anything I tell him nor is he eager to know about it.

I sigh and look at him who's looking at me intently. "Cayson I- uh- I need to tell you something," I start.

"Remember yesterday night you asked about what I was scared of you finding out?" I ask and he slowly nods. "Well I- its- its—"

He turns me to look at him. "—hey, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, alright?" He says and I sigh.

"I want to tell you but I don't have the courage to. If I tell you, I know you'll look at me differently," I reply back and look away.

He pulls my chin up to face him. "Then don't. Whatever you tell me won't change the way I see you."

I sigh.

"The way I see you, you're perfect. You're courageous. You're a rebel. You're not afraid of anything. That is how I look at you. Nothing you say can change that," he says with a small smile.

I scoff. "I'm everything but perfect, Cayson. I'm not courageous nor am I a rebel. And I am scared as hell to loose my friends and you."

"Maybe I don't show it but everyday I wake up and I'm scared. I try to cover it up with all the bitchiness and meanness but I'm terrified inside."

"Venus, what's wrong?" He slowly speaks, like a whisper.

"Cayson I'm- I'm- I'm a drug addict."

I close my eyes shut, not wanting to look at his reaction because I'm scared that he will look at me differently now.

I don't hear anything for a while.

He puts his hands on either side of my shoulders and sighs. "You say you're not courageous, look at you, you told me something about yourself which you usually don't. You're not afraid of it, you're just nervous."

"Didn't you hear what I told you Cayson?" I ask. "I'm a drug addict. You know what that means right? I basically take the pills which slowly end up killing me."

"But you stopped."

He sounds quite confident about his statement.

"How are you so sure?"

"Or else you wouldn't tell me. You want to stop and you're trying to. I'm here for you Venus," he says.

"You don't seem surprised."

"I did have my doubts when I spotted you with Jerry quite many times. I didn't want to pressure you into telling me, I wanted you to tell me yourself."

"I stopped," I start and he looks at me, patiently. "I stopped taking them. Because of those drugs, I had tremors. They were minor and are going away slowly with all the help."

He caresses my cheek while I close my eyes. His touch send electric chills down my back. A different feeling when he touched me.

"It doesn't change the way I look at you Venus. Now, it makes you the strongest girl I've ever met in my whole entire life. You have the courage to tell me and your friends. You're trying to stop it and you're doing good."

I sigh as he slowly pulls his hand back to himself. This wasn't that hard to tell. Thankfully he understood.

For a minute both of us say nothing and just look at each other. He's so peaceful and calm about this situation. He understands me.

"Thank you for understanding," I reply back and he smiles.

"Anytime for you," he replies back.

My eyes slowly travel down to his lips and I quickly look away. He notices me looking at his lips and he smirks.

"Don't be shy Stavish, it is all yours," he says and I try hard not to smile.

There he goes again.

"Whatever little shit," I smile.
