《Abandoned ✔️》Chapter 6- weirdly an odd combination

"You think you'll make it before the party?" Kate asks and I nod before taking my purse.
"That's not a question, she has to make it," violet demands and I give her a soft smile.
"I'll call," I say and grab my car keys while Tyler gives me a weird look which I don't stop to examine.
"Bye," they all say in unison and I sit in my car and leave.
I don't know why Helton wants me to volunteer for this but I will find out. Like Kate and others said, I should let this go but I think there's more to this than he's telling.
Why would he want me to work for the yearbook when he hates them? He hates when people take pictures of him and interview him.
I wonder what he's hiding.
Maybe his classroom speaks louder than him.
I quickly reach the school and park my car outside the school because there are cameras everywhere. If anything happens, I wouldn't be caught.
I pull the rubber band off my hair and my bun falls into wavy-ish curly hair and my bangs cover my eyebrows.
Thank god I have bangs. I don't even know why I have bangs but that's what I have always had so I continued to have bangs.
I take out my sunglasses and wear them before taking a shawl and wrapping it around my head.
I walk to the door and try to open it but it's locked. Wow, really?
I go to the back of school and open the emergency door and walk in slowly.
Without making noise, I go from hallway to hallway and finally find Helton's class. Before I walk into the class I hear footsteps behind me.
I quickly hid behind the door as my body alerted and stiffened.

Fuck.
Who is it?
Is it a robber? What if it's a robber?
What if it's a serial killer who's on loose because his girlfriend left him and now he thinks every girl is his girlfriend and kills them?
I don't want to die this early.
Maybe it's nothing.
Maybe it's a rat who's hungry.
Shit.
Where's my phone? I shuffle through my bag quickly and pull my phone out. Hurrying to call 911, I realize that I'm also breaking into school. I try to turn my phone on but it's dead.
I think about when I put my phone in charge and how Tyler was fighting with me for the charger. I'm going to kill Tyler. Why would he take mine out of charge? Ugh.
Slowly, I peek through the glass window of the door and see someone, coming towards me with a cloth wrapped around themselves.
I quickly put on all of my rings and prepare myself to punch the shit out of this person. My shawl falls down but I don't notice.
The person gets more closer to me and I stop hiding behind he door and pop out in front of this person.
I notice a hockey stick in his hand, apparently it is a man.
I form my palm into a fist and throw a punch while he ducks and the cloth falls off and he pants.
"Calm down, its me Cayson," he says and I breath out deeply. "Holy shit. You're crazy."
"I'm crazy? You're crazy. What are you doing here anyway?" I ask and he shrugs. "Are you a thief? Do you come to school property after hours and steal from lost and found? You know people actually want their stuff back, stealing is not good. If you want to steal then steal the tests and quizzes, at least it would help people. Actually stealing altogether is bad—"

"—shh," Cayson shushed me and I quickly close my mouth and stop talking. "You talk so much."
"I- I talk so much? I do not," I nervously chuckle and he smiles at me, revealing his cute dimple on his right cheek.
I look at him and actually notice him. He has brunette hair, almost the same color as mine but a little darker. His eyes as green as an emerald.
Wow, he's hot.
"Thanks," he replies and my face heats up. "You're not bad yourself."
"You're annoying piece of garbage. Now, leave me be and go steal whatever you're here to steal," I say as I turn and walk into Helton's class.
"What?" He scoffs and follows me inside before stumbling into the door and it closes behind him.
Little did we know, we needed that door open.
"What do you mean steal? You think I steal?" He asks and I nod while shuffling through some of Helton's things and see a lot of graded papers.
"I do not steal," he defends himself.
"Really? Then what are you doing in school?" I ask and he doesn't reply for some time. "Exactly. Stealer."
"I'm- I'm not stealing. I'm stuck in school," he replies.
"Yeah? Well, it has been four hours since school is dismissed so what are you still doing here?"
He looks away and I smile while I open the drawers and check for something, anything.
"Fine," he groans in defeat. "I'm borrowing."
"Stealing."
"Borrowing," he corrects me.
"Stealing," I argue back.
"Borrowing," he starts again but I don't let him win.
"Stealing," I reply and he gives up.
"Fine whatever you want to call it," he says.
"What are you stealing anyways?" I ask and he takes a seat on the desk while I look search the room.
"I am borrowing the guitar and keyboards," he says emphasizing on the word borrowing.
I roll my eyes at his comment but then freeze. Did he say guitar and keyboards?
I turn around to face him who's sitting on a desk, fidgeting with his ring. He looks up at me and I have a huge grin on my face while he looks at me all confused.
"Did you say guitar and keyboards?" I ask and he nods.
"Yeah. I am suppose to perform tonight after your party so I just wanted to take the ones from school," he replies.
"You play?" I ask.
"Yeah," he replies. "You?"
"I sing usually but I can play guitar and keyboards."
"Weirdly an odd combination."
"Oddly a weird combination," I correct him.
"You in any band?"
"Nah, always loved it since a little girl. It's just a passion," I reply back and he thinks about something.
"Well, I have always wanted to do a duet with a girl, wanna try it out?" He asks and I'm shocked.
I don't reply and just stare at him, blankly. "You want to?" He asks and I nod.
"I'd love that," I reply back.
"Great, let's check out your skills then. Hopefully, you're the one I am looking for," he says and smiles at me.
He walks to the door and I follow him. He grabs the door knob and tries to open the door but it doesn't open.

Who Knows?
"Watch it.""Watch it," I mock him in a whisper, feeling brave. Suddenly, he gets up from his stool and stalks towards me. His large frame towering over my sitting form. I swallow the last bit of my pancakes slowly, my eyes wandering up his body until they stop at his face. He seems displeased. Very much so. His hand grabs the part where my head and neck connect and he slowly but firmly tilts my head back, his fingers tangling in my hair. His skin is rough on mine but still oddly comforting."What did you just say?" He asks, each of his words pronounced slowly and precisely. "I-I-I j-just.. I was j-just joking." I barely choke out. "You were just joking, huh?" "Mhm." I nod, my head subconsciously leaning into his touch my eyes closing on their own accord. His thumb caresses my cheekbone and I never want him to stop. I have never had a male being make me feel this good before. Don't get me wrong I did kiss a few people but it never felt as good as what he is doing right now. "Romy?""Yes," I breathe out, biting my lip. His thumb is quick in pulling it from between my teeth. "Nevermind." He rushes out, detaching his hand from my face.Hey Guys! I hope you enjoy my story.
