"Tell me."
"No."
"Tell me!"
"No!"
"Tell me!"
"No Natsu! You can see tonight!" I exclaimed. This is how our conversations have been for the past week. Natsu kept pestering me and it was pretty annoying. I just wanted it to be a surprise.
"Fine, but be ready for a surprise tonight," Natsu said with a wink and walked off. I shook my head at his figure and walked down the hallway where my classroom was. As I was walking I felt hands on my back and I was shoved to the ground. I cussed and looked up to see who it was. Of course it was Lisanna.
"Better watch what you do Lucy, you never know when something bad might happen," she smirked and walked off. Was she threatening me?
I got up off the ground, getting stares and snickers as I did. I ignored the people around me and marched to my class. Just what was Lisanna planning? God, I hope she doesn't ruin tonight. No, she won't. Tonight is mine and Natsu's night, I don't need to worry about her. As I walked to my desk, I saw a little piece of paper folded on my desk. I saw it was a note.
Better keep an eye out at prom tonight. You never know what could happen when you aren't looking.
There was no sign of who left the note on my desk, only a bright pink kiss mark on it. I looked around the class suspiciously but everyone was involved in their own matters. Who could have left this? I would accuse Lisanna, but she isn't in this class at all. Man, can I just have a nice day today? Please.
"I'll pick you up around seven tonight," Natsu mumbled against my lips. I smiled and leaned forward so my lips could meet his. I gave him a small kiss and I could feel him smile as he kissed me back.
"Okay, now I have to go, I love you," I mumbled with my eyes closed.

"I love you too," he whispered in my ear and then we went separate ways. I rushed to get home, needing all the time I had to get ready. It was 2:45 pm right now so I had a little over four hours to get ready!
"Where is my hair clip!" I exclaimed as I dug through my hair clips and other hair accessories. Natsu was going to be at the house any minute and I couldn't find my pink flower hair clip that would pin part of my hair. I felt something and pulled it out in victory, it was the clip! I clipped it in and stood in front of the mirror. The bruises Lisanna and her friends left were all mostly gone. Though, if you looked carefully you could see a slight hint of them.
My dress was beautiful and fit perfectly. I felt I look better in it now than the first time I tried it on. My heels lifted me up, but not enough to reach Natsu's height. My hair was curled and a section of it was pinned to one side. My makeup made my features pop without making me look like a clown. I truely felt like a princess. I even had a prince that treated me like one.
I heard the doorbell ring and rushed to the door, when I opened it, I gasped. Natsu stood there in a full tux and had a big bouquet of red roses. I had to strangle back a giggle as I saw he was wearing his scarf. Natsu, just stood there staring at me. I looked down in embarrassment.
"Natsu, it's embarrassing when you stare at me," I told him.
"I'm sorry Lucy. You're just so....beautiful," he said like the word wasn't enough. I looked up at him with a big grin on my face.
"Well you look very handsome," I returned a compliment. He held out his hand and I gladly took it. We walked out the door and what I saw made my mouth drop. A shiny black limo was parked in front of my house. As I stared at it, Natsu laughed.

"Do you like it?" he asked nervously.
"You did this for me?" I said in shock.
"I only get the best for my girl. And tonight I wanted to make it special," he said while staring in my eyes. I leaned up to kiss him, smiling the whole time. I truly had the best boyfriend in the world.
We walked to the limo and Natsu opened the door for me. I stepped in and saw the space inside the car. On the table, I saw a bottle of champagne and two glasses. I also saw a small package that was wrapped and had a small bow on it. After Natsu got in, he poured us each a glass and handed one two me.
"This tastes amazing," I sighed out as I sipped the champagne. I have never really drunken alcohol before but this was a treat. It was fuzzy and made my throat warm.
"Now, this is for you," Natsu said in a shy tone as he handed the wrapped gift to me. I lifted an eyebrow up at him and opened the present. Inside was a small box that held a silver necklace. It was an infinity sign that had a heart on it. N+L was engraved in the heart. As I stared at it, I felt tears prick my eyes.
"It's amazing," I gasped with a shaky breath, a few tears rolling down my face. Natsu reached over and wiped them off.
"Lucy why are you crying?" he asked sadly.
"Because all of this is so amazing and I'm just so happy," I held my arms out in the open space. Natsu leaned down and kissed my forehead. He reached under his scarf and pulled out a chain. He had a necklace that was identical to mine.
"I love you Lucy," he said as he held it in his hands.
"I love you too," I spoke, tears still slowly falling.
"Don't cry Luce, you will ruin your makeup. Though, you don't really need it," Natsu told me. I laughed and held up my necklace.
"Will you put it on?" I asked him.
"S-sure," he stumbled awkwardly. I turned around and he pushed my hair to the side, as his hands grazed my skin, I shivered as a spark traveled down my spin. He pulled the two end of the necklace back and hooked the together. Then, he leaned his head forward so that it was so close to my ear, I could feel it sending tingles through my neck.
"Now you'll always be mine," he whispered.
"I feel pretty lousy since I didn't get you anything," I mumbled.
"Don't be. The best gift is having you to be at my side," he said and reached for my hand. He then pulled a corsage onto my wrist. I smiled and picked up the small box I had brought with me. Inside, was a boutonniere that I had bought. I pulled it out, and pinned it to his suit. He smiled and the limo came to a halt. We had arrived. Natsu, once again, held the the door open for me. When I stepped out, he grabbed my hand and we walked towards the doors that a crowd of people were filing into.
"Lucy!" I heard Levy squeal and hustle towards us. Behind her was a dressed up Gajeel.
"Hi Levy!" I exclaimed and hugged her.
"You look beautiful!" she complimented.
"So do you!" I returned. Soon, the whole group was together. Everyone looked amazing and happy with their date.
"You guys ready to go in?" I asked. Everyone cheered in response, causing us all to laugh. We entered the big room. Tonight is the night of my life.

If nothing else, plagiarising - ahem, learning new spell structures by observing the local mages should prove entertaining. Sure, there were new dangers in this foreign world, but they wouldn't be anything a fancy bit of spellwork couldn't solve. Though, he would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain to him just what this 'cultivation' business was, why the local Mages were all muscle-brained freaks obsessed with immortality, and why they all seemed to lack any appreciation for the finer details of Essence manipulation. That would be nice.
