Erza's P.O.V.
"Now I'll never forget your name, all I have to do is look at your hair."
"It was the colour of your hair."
"Everyone's gotta have a last name."
"Scarlet. How about Erza Scarlet."
"My name's Jellal. Jellal Fernandes."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slowly, the voices fade away, and so does the blackness. All of it is replaced by shimmering white and the sound of chirping birds. I blink a few times as the colour comes back into my eyes. Pink walls with purple linings, and armours of silver and certain various colours are placed along them. I sit up in my bed, gently placing the blanket next to me. I stare down at my outfit, comfortable light pink pyjamas with magenta crosses speard all over. Another dream then. I stand up from bed and clothes my eyes, concentrating on the magic energy flowing through my body. The energy gathers through my body and around me in a form of light winds, blowing my hair and outfit. The pyjama's start glowing yellow before being replaced by my normal armour.
Much better, I think to myself before walking through the five connected rooms and walking into the hall. It's relatively early, so I'm not surprised no one's up yet. Other's might also already be at the guild. I exit Fairy Hills dorm for girls and walk the path to the Fairy Tail guild, where I meet Lucy, Gray and Natsu sitting at a table. Or more like standing at a table. Gray and Natsu are scowling at each other, Lucy watching from the sides, not sure if she should do anything. I walk up behind them and ask, "Problem boys?"
"Yeah, this freak show won't admit that I deserved last job's reward more than he did!" Gray growls, still glaring at Natsu with his forehead pushing against his.
"Yeah right! I did so much more damage than you did, and that was without trying!" Natsu fights back, trying to also win the forehead war.
"And because of you, we lost half the reward genius, you damaged the town more than you did those bandits!"
I was just about to stop them, placing my hands in back of either head, before I was interrupted by our Master, "Erza!" he calls, looking straight at me. The four of us stop what we're doing and look at Master Makarov. With a flick of his fingers, I walked up to him and look into his eyes. He then looks back at Mirajane and nods, and she nods back cheerfully, slipping a paper out of a cupboard. She places it next to the master, who's sitting on the bar with his staff held straight up by his side. He takes the paper and hands it to me, which I accept. "This job form was sent by Jason."
"The reporter?" I inquired, a little shocked.
The master nods once before answering, "That is correct," as I read through the paper, he keeps explaining, "he has requested that 'the great Titania Erza' take this job because he's planning on writing an artical on the most powerful wizards in Fiore. The one's available of course. He wants you to defeat monsters from an island called Monstrum Insula. Legends say that the island is filled with monsters that respawn every full moon or moonless nights."
"So he wants to get my skills on camera?" I question, peeking up from the paper just until I get a response.
"That's correct, and then there will be an interview later. However, there is one other person he requested for you to do the mission with."
Right when he said that, my eyes landed right on the names of the requested wizards. My own and...
"Mystogan," I murmur. The master heard me, and nods his head.
"You can refuse if you like," he says, and my hands start shaking a bit with my breath, "It's not a manditory mission. I can understand that it would be difficult to hide Jellal's identity."
I read through the request one more time, then nod my head. "I'll do it," I answer, "where do I meet him?"
The master nods and responds, "Jason has a boat ready for the two of you at the port of Hargeon. I managed to notify Jellal through a pigeon message. I informed him of the mission details, and to meet you just outside Hargeon at one o'clock today. If you don't make it by 1:30, then you've refused the mission, so he can leave to go back to his own business."
"Understood, I'll leave now if you don't mind," With goodbyes and waves, I finally went my way to the train station, where I bought myself a ticket for the train arriving in ten minutes.
Jellal's P.O.V.
Erza finally made it at 1:05. She was in her normal armour, her scarlet hair flowing beautifully like a river in spring.
The mission requested Mystogan, so I dressed up as the formar wizard, black cloak covering my body, black boots and bandages covering my legs. I also have a black scarf covering my head and and face, only revealing my eyes.
"Shall we go," she asks politely with a smile. I nod in response, smiling back. Although she can't see it, I can tell she knows. We walk through town until we make it to Hargeon port. There, we are greeted by an overly excited reporter screaming out the word cool many times and speaking fast about how meeting us is 'so cool'. Neither Erza nor I were the least bit flattered.
Once he finished his 'fit', he leads us on the boat, a small motor boat that would lead us to the island in twenty minutes. He told us it was the fastest motorboat around, which honestly, didn't interest me very much. We all went on the boat and started our trip to the island, being already interrogated by our reporter. When he asked me questioned, I didn't answer them, and Erza explained that it was to keep my identity a secret as much as possible, but Erza was more than happy to answer any questions he had for her.
After twenty long minutes we finally made it to the island. Before sending us off, he gives us a lacrima vision camera to follow us, and that he wants us to defeat four monsters in total. So we made our way into the woods where we were welcomed already by two monsters. Both of us attacked and defeated them with one hit.
We heard a faint "So cool!" And continued walking off into the woods. It took us a while walking. We didn't find any monsters after the first two. And we were very uncomfortable talking with the lacrima vision floating above us, so we walked in silence the whole way. We stopped when we hit the wall of a cliff. A dead end. Then we hear rustling from the trees and bushes, whether it's the wind or an animal, I'm not sure, but it's making me slightly nervous.
The rustling grows louder, the leaves starting to shake. Cautiously, we look around, trying to find any sign of whatever's making the noise.
Then another sound catches us off guard. It sounds like a small machine being destroyed. Erza runs to the direction of the sound. When she stops, she stares at a certain spot for a few seconds before picking up the remains. The lacrima vision camera's been destroyed.
The rustling grows louder before it stops completely, replaced by fast whistling of wind, and a giant roar. Very similar to one of a dragon. This reminds me of when I fought Natsu seven years ago. His scream was so loud, it resembled one of a dragon.
The wind blows extremely quickly, and powerfully, blowing us back. Erza summons a sword up and stabs it in the ground to keep herself stable, I do the same, pulling out one of my staffs and planting it in the ground as if about to cast a spell.
The wind blows stronger, along with the roar most likely causing it. Then, there's a sudden crack, and Erza sends me a questioning look. A few more cracks and before I know it, I'm sent flying back and crashing into the cliff. Blown into it by the force, I cry out in pain. Suddenly, I'm out of breath and I can't breathe, like the airs being sucked out of me.
Erza turns abruptly, crying something out, but the wind is too loud. I can't hear anything but the whisting and roar. Then I notice her sword slip out of the durt and pushing up. The wind blows Erza up and crashes next to me. The wind pushes us further into the rock, taking out both our air. Dammit, I can't cast any spells if I can't even breathe.
After a few seconds, the wind stops, and we fall to the ground. I breathe in heavely, Erza as well. The moment it's balanced, I go to Erza, who's still having a bit of trouble. Once she settles we get up, and are greeted by a green dragon-like creature.
"A wyvern!" Erza cries, more in shock than in fear.
However, the shock immediately passes the moment we both lunge at it, and create a combined attack with requip magic and my meteor magic, knocking it out and letting it fall to the ground.
I pant a bit, mostly to try and catch some more air from being pushed into the wall. The wyvern wasn't very difficult to defeat at all. Then the scarf around my face comes off on it's own. Replaced by two soft hands, they pull me into a kiss. I kiss back, embracing the red-headed beautiful wizard in my arms. Erza always makes me feel warm inside. That's why I love her so much.
We're disrupted by sudden rustling from the trees, so we scurry to get my scarf back on. A blond haired man comes out, in a bit of shock seeing the wyvern on the ground. His face then contorts into a grin and he falls to his knees.
"SO COOOL!!! You took down that wyvern together! I bet it only took one blow too! It's so uncool that the camera had to break, but WOW!!!" He shouts, flailing his arms in every direction. He takes out a notebook and pen and writes things down, "This'll be the article of the month! 'Scarlet and Azure' the pair of Fiore's most poweful wizard's fighting along side each other to defeat the monsters put to challenge! So cool!"
Erza and I stared at him, slightly taken aback, "'Scarlet and Arzure'?" she questions.
Rapidly, he nods and answers, "Your hair colours! Although most of Mystogan's is hidden behind his scarves, we can see that he has blue hair. You two make a perfect pair of wizards. You're just so COOL!"
While he has his cheering fit, Erza and I stare at each other and smile. She can't see mine, but I know she knows. She always knows. Since she loves me too.
Although a single mission, the lovers spent time with each other that they rarely could. And Walking back, they cherished every minute being together. nothing will ever keep them apart.
