《To the Stars》Soft

They had walked back to her apartment quietly, their fingers locked together, every so often Loke would lean down and kiss the top of her head or her temple and every time Lucy would smile and lean into him. She wasn't quite sure if this was just a dream or not but if it was she preferred not to wake up, she was so in awe, his strong hands were smooth and warm against her own and her heart was still in her throat. Had she really admitted that she loved him? She really liked him, there was no question there, and she was quickly falling in love with him but she was so scared to fully open up and afraid that he may pull away if she did. She took a deep breath as they reached her front door. He quickly reached out and opened the door for her like a gentleman and she giggled walking into her room. Loke closed the door and pulled her close to him, gazing into her eyes he smiled,
"Lucy I love you to the stars and back," he gripped her chin gently, tilting her face to him, "I've wanted to do this for a very long time." her heart stopped as his lips gently brushed against hers,
this is it she thought, closing her eyes and wrapping her arms around the back of his neck and pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. His lips were warm and soft and soon, everything else disappeared, there was no apartment, not anything else except Lucy and Loke. She thought back to her daydream of them dancing in the stars, surrounded by nothing but feeling absolutely safe and happy. The only thing holding her down was his hands, one cradling the back of her head, fingers wrapped in her hair and the other, pressed against her lower back and holding her close. She didn't need him to hold her there though, she had pressed herself against him as if he were her only lifeline and she never wanted to let go. As they pulled apart they both smiled, he rested his forehead against hers and chuckled,

"And all this time I was so scared you would reject me." he said softly, wrapping his arms around her and hugging her close. "Even if you had I would have still been there to protect you, until the end of time." He whispered into her hair, "you're everything to me." They stood there like that, arms wrapped around each other savoring the others company. Loke took a deep breath, stifling a yawn.
"Loke, you should go back, rest for a while." She really didn't want him to go, she wanted him there in her arms. But he did look exhausted, he'd be able to get rested here but it would be quicker and more efficient in the celestial world. He nodded slowly and pulled away to lean down and give her a soft kiss.

(Synopsis) Domhain - a world split between five nations and five unique magical gifts; home of elves, dwarves, goblins, trolls, and humans, each of them so different but in reality more alike than anyone would like to acknowledge. Twenty years ago, the humans, weakest of the five, secretly acquired powerful magic and set out for war. The united forces of the other nations stood no chance. Humanity prevailed, proving itself as the new leader of the modern world. Now, Domhain is at peace but tensions are rising again. The humans want more than their territory back. They want it all. And they want revenge. But this time, the elves hide a dark power, and will stop at nothing to wipe the humans off Domhain forever. War is inevitable. Thousands will die. And the power to stop it all falls into the hands of none other than a particularly tall fifteen-year-old elf orphan. Ever since he could remember, Ardan lived a normal, sheltered, life in an elven orphanage. On the day he's finally able to leave for good and start his independent life, something strange occurs. He is given a pill, a gift, that turns his life into a game with levels, quests, dungeons, and a... talking weapon? All of which are capable of transforming his body and the world around him. As if that weren’t enough, Ardan learns the orphanage has hidden natural magic from him, and the whole world is intertwined with it. More importantly, he, as an elf, has a particularly unique and powerful heritage. That heritage, along with the benefits of his new power makes him a target for the greed of many...
