《Room Mates (NaLu)》Chapter 27 ~ I love who..?

That was when Natsu threw a punch.
Natsu's fist was flying toward Sting, almost as if in slow motion. Gray was yelling in the background for Natsu to stop, along with Rogue shouting for Sting to quit being a total idiot.
But of course, none of their words were heard as the angry two were in the heat of the moment. I was stood, watching in shock. This was about me. Me.
"NATSU STOP!" I yelled, loudly.
Natsu's fist stopped inches from Stings face. For a split second, he flashed his eyes towards me and then back to Sting who plastered on a smirk as he laughed.
"Wow, I guess she has you tamed." Spoke Sting menacingly. He was knew Natsu was angry and for some reason was stirring him. "I wondered why she didn't complain when I felt up her ass earlier." I was shocked. That definitley did not happen.
Natsu snapped, pulling his fist back again in rage.
Natsu's fist collided with Stings face, causing it to swing to the side painfully. Sting quickly jumped back, regained his composure and tried to throw a punch back - only for Natsu to catch it mid air and thrust his arm downwards. As Sting bent over with his arm, Natsu kneed him in the stomach, but not too hard. Sting groaned as he fell to the floor on his knees, but didn't stay there long as he got right back up and started throwing kicks and punches at Natsu.
By now, everyone else had got involved, trying their best to stop the pointless fight between the two boys. Gray and Gajeel grabbed Natsu's arms, pulling away from Sting - whilst Rogue and Jellal did the same on the other side.
"You idiot!" Yelled Natsu as he was unwillingly pulled away from Sting, struggling to break free. "She's been through enough!"
Erza, Levy, Mira, Lisanna and I, all stood at the side watching in horror as the scene unfolded.
To be honest, neither of the boys had been going all out, therefore weren't hurting eachother seriously, but were still pretty angry.
I had no idea what to do. I felt like I had to do something - like this was my fault. As if the girls had read my thoughts, they drew my attention away from the scene as Lisanna rubbed my back and Levy spoke.
"Don't worry about this Lu. Boys get crazy jealous and it's stupid, but it's not you're fault, and it's not that serious." She told me; Juvia, Mira and Erza nodding along.
"Yeh, Jellal does it all the time whenever we go out together." Spoke Erza nonchalantly before suddenly freezing after she realised what she had said.
"Uh, I mean-I mean my boyfriend. No not my boyfriend, um, my old boyfriend!' She laughed awkwardly. "I don't know where Jellal came from, he's definitley not my boyfriend!" She spluttered extremely fast, obviously trying to hide her fatal mistake - but failing miserably.
All of us were just smiling knowingly, leaving Erza to sporadically look from face to face in hopes of us believing her.

"Erza." Said Mira as she took a step forward. "You can't hide it now." A broad smile was spread across Mira's face; a smile one would wear as their plan was falling together.
"Woah Woah Woah, slow down for a second!" Said Levy as she took a step back. "Erza and Jellal are dating!?" She shrieked a little louder than necessary, causing everyone else to over hear and freeze in their positions. Everyone except Rogue and Sting of course; they were left looking pretty confused.
Natsu stopped struggling to get out of Gray and Gajeels grasps and calmed down. The fighting seemed to have suddenly stopped as everyone was so shocked. It was like the time when me and Natsu told everyone we were dating all over again... except it seemed Mira hadn't fainted this time.
Erza and Jellal were beet red.
In the background, Sting was still trying to stir up trouble by calling insults out to Natsu; saying he was a chicken and had backed out of the fight because he was scared. To that, Natsu simply sent him a rude hand gesture, before walking away toward the new 'scene' that had developed. Rogue managed to drag Sting away, apologising to everyone for his friends' behaviour.
Natsu threw his arms across Jellal's shoulder playfully.
"What's this I'm hearing about Erza and Jellal?" Smirked Natsu, as if he hadn't just been having a full on fight less than 5 minutes ago.
Jellal and Erza's redness only increased; worsening by the second as they were interogated by each person.
Levy was squealing as per usual; jumping up and down with her hands clasped in joy for her friend. Juvia joined Levy, both of them jumping around in circles.
All the boys patted Jellal's back in congratulations or high-fived him.
"So when did it happen?! Who asked who? How long have two been keeping this a secret?!" Asked Mira, shooting questions into the air in every direction.
"Not that long, only around a week." Jellal said, smiling as he walked towards Erza and grabbed her hand.
I awed at the sight. They were so perfect together; how did they manage to keep it a secret?
With Sting buggered off and Natsu calm, we carried on doing what we were originally; which was heading back to our stuff at the beach.
I sauntered by Natsu's side slowly as Levy and Mira continued to fangirl over Jellal and Erza, (who were still very red).
"Thanks... Natsu. " I said quietley, feeling I needed to thank him for what he did. Though he was mainly acting off his own anger - but still, I definitley felt uncomfortable with Sting.
Natsu turned to face me, lifting an arm to wrap around my waist and pulled me towards him.
"Mine." He said simply, causing me to giggle a little.
Now that the sun had nearly set, the sky was getting darker and the night getting chillier. Everyone was shivering a little by now, throwing on jumpers or long pants that they had brought with them.

As the night crept closer, Natsu and I decided to make a move - after all, we were going on a date tonight and didn't want it to be too late.
After the chorus of goodbyes floated through the air, we were waved off as we headed back towards the car.
I climbed in the passenger seat, put my bag on the floor and buckled my belt. Natsu got in beside me doing the same. I was a little shocked when he leaned over and placed a quick kiss on my lips, before starting the car and backing out of his parking spot. I simply blushed, looked down at my legs and started fiddling with the end of my shirt.
"Natsu?" I asked after a short silence. He replied with a hum.
"Are we staying in a hotel or something? And meeting the others there later?" I asked him, wondering what the plan was if we were all going to be staying a night.
Natsu looked at me with a confused face, before it dropped into a cute smile.
"No no, they're not staying." He explained. "It's just me and you."
I looked up to him with a smile.
"You never said." I replied.
"I wanted it to be a suprise." He stated, not taking his eyes off the road, but a blush quite evident on his cheeks.
Once again, I simply smiled childishly and looked down. He was so cute at times...
Not much time passed before we had stopped at the end of a small road. We were parked at the edge, and I couldn't see much where I was sat.
Natsu climbed out of the car, traveling around to my door where he opened it to let me out. Next he went to the boot, grabbed a small weaved basket (that I definitely didn't see when I packed my bag in there), and closed the boot.
"You ready?" He said, simultaneously throwing on a t-shirt over his bare chest - much to my dismay. We were both still in our beach outfits; me wearing my bikini under a t-shirt and leggings, along with Natsu wearing his swim shorts and, of course, now a t-shirt. This left me in a pickle, wondering where he was possibly taking me for our first date.
I nodded to his question where he then grasped my hand and started to walk up the road.
Natsu seemed to know exactly where he was going as he took me through a precise root. Soon, we neared a large hill that eventually trailed out onto a little cove on the beach.
The cove was beautiful; like our own private world inside a fairytale. Beside the sandy ground, relaxing ocean and scorching sun, the thing that topped off the scene was the waterfall.
At the top of the hill, a small stream of water poured over the edge; creating a magnificent sight at the bottom. The water landed in a small pond near the edge of the cliff, where it then relapsed toward the ocean.
I was so in awe at the scene that I hadn't even noticed Natsu open the picnic basket and pull out a large yellow blanket. He layed it down, and sat, waiting for me to join him.
"This is beautiful Natsu." I said as I sat down next to him, still in complete amazement. "How do you know about this place?"
Natsu turned and looked up at the darkening sky.
"I used to come here when I was little. My dad would take me and we would stay here for a weekend." He smiled, reminiscing at his past times.
I smiled too, happy to see him happy.
I shuffled a little closer and lay on my back beside Natsu. By now, stars had started to pepper the sky; more and more appearing as we stared.
Once we had broken the food out, we ate like gorillas - completely starving from the long day at the beach. We finished fast, laying back down, only the sound of the waterfall in the background.
We stayed silent for a while, just taking in the peaceful moment, but eventually Natsu spoke again.
"Luce." He said, propping himself up on his elbow to face me. I did the same so I was level with him.
"You really mean the world to me you know." He carried on, searching deep into my eyes as he talked.
"I don't know what I would do without you..." He trailed, as if getting lost in thought.
I leant forward and cradled his chin in my hand, pulling him in to plant a soft kiss on his lips. When we pulled away he looked up at the sky again before looking back toward me halfway through his sentence.
"I-I think I'm in love with you." He stuttered, as he looked down at the blanket and then immediately back at my eyes.
My heart skipped a beat at his words. He loved me? A smile broke out of my face as I buried it into the crook of his neck to hide it.
"I love you too Natsu." I said, though my words were muffled.
"Really?" He said in a tone of relief. He wrapped his warm arms around my back and hugged me tight.
I nodded into his shoulder, before realising he probably couldn't tell.
"I was too afraid to say it." I said, still muffled.
He gripped me tighter, hugging me like I was going to disappear from his arms any minute.
My heart was beating incredibly fast and I'm sure Natsu could feel it against his chest. I looked up to him with a big smile, my eyes welling a little in happiness.
That night we kissed, lay under the stars and eventually headed back toward a hotel he had booked. We fell asleep quiet quickly in the comfort in eachothers arms, both feeling content and in love.
