I gasped and quickly tried to sit up and look at him but he was too strong to budge even the slightest.
"Billy? Hey. Talk to me." I cooed to him as I wiped my thumb on the exposed part of his face. He finally looked up at me and I could see how red his nose and eyes were from crying. I have never seen him cry so hard before as he usually bottled his emotions up. But when he did cry it was usually over him wanting his mother to love him like he loved her.
"She has a new kid."
I nodded at him and cradled his face in my hands. I didn't respond so he'd keep talking.
"Did she not love me because I'm half Neil? I didn't choose to be half him."
I grabbed him and pulled his body back down into a hug.
"You're not Neil." I told him sternly.
"But I am."
"No. No you're not. Neil is a horrible person."
"I've done things Margo. Really bad things. I didn't mean to-" He told me as he started to tear up again.
"Hey." I said grabbing his face. "Past you doesn't define the present you. I know you're a good person Billy."
He frowned at me but leaned into my hand soaking up the affection I was giving him.
"You don't have to see her again if you don't want to."
He laid against me extremely still as he thought over my words. Finally ready to answer he flipped us over so that now I was straddling him.
He was absentmindedly looking across the room as his hand came up to brush a strand of hair away from my face. When he knocked himself out of his train of thought he gently grabbed my wrist and brought it up to his face to kiss it.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled as he sadly looked at the light pink mark around it from where he had pulled me along back to the apartment.
I shook my head to tell him it was okay and that I was fine but Billy cut me off.
"You can leave whenever you want."
"W- what?" I replied shocked. "What do you mean?" I questioned as I sat up completely straight.
"I don't want you to feel trapped here with me."
"Where is this coming from?" I said trying to keep the hurt look off my face.
"I don't want you to be scared like my mom was." He whispered as he stared at the mark on my wrist.
"I'm not scared. I'm not scared of you."
He shook his head in disagreement before lightly trying to push me off of him.
"Hey! Billy cut it out!" I said irritated. He was starting to shut down right in front of my eyes and I hated it.
"What Margaret?" He said as if he was suddenly tired.
I got off of him by myself and he visibly cringed at the distance I put between us.
"Don't be a fucking dick Billy. I don't want to argue with you."
"I'm not being a dick." He said as he stood up too.
"Yes you are!" I replied waving my hands in frustration.
His angry demeanor dropped again as he fully examined me and noticed my cut up knee from where I had almost fallen over.
"Look at you Margo." He said sadly.
"I'm NOT hurt Billy I tripped that is what happens when you fall stop acting like this you don't abuse me!"
He cringed as I said that. Crossing my arms angrily I stared at him.

"Why do you-" I started to say before I felt the urge to vomit. I stood there for a second feeling the nausea get to me before rushing towards the bathroom.
Billy followed quickly after me so I shut the door on him to puke in peace.
"Margo? Baby?" I heard him call from the other side of the door.
"Can you let me in sunshine?" He asked in a sweet voice. I rolled my eyes as I grabbed my toothbrush.
I opened the door as I brushed and stared at him with a dirty look on my face.
"I didn't mean to upset you." He said referring to me puking just moments earlier.
I rinsed and continued to ignore him. Shoving past him I walked to our bedroom and got under the sheets angrily. I wasn't that angry over his behavior earlier but now I was livid for no reason.
"Sweetcheeks.." Billy said trying again as he rubbed my back lightly. I shrugged him off and continued to face away from him.
I heard him sigh and then retreat. He came back after a minute dressed only in shorts before getting in on his side of the bed so that we were now facing each other. Still angry I closed my eyes. I heard him chuckle which only set me off further.
"I know you're awake."
I groaned and turned over hoping he would fall asleep. Now that he knew I was awake he scooted closer to me and wrapped me in a hug.
"Go away Billy."
"I know I can be an ass sometimes. But I love you and I'd hate to make you hate me." He whispered to me.
I rolled my eyes at his statement but rolled back over to face him. "I love you too."
He smiled and pulled the sheets up higher over me.
"Do you think we can make mozzarella sticks?"
"What?" Billy said laughing.
"Can we?" I asked. The sudden urge for them quickly becoming overwhelming.
"Cravings?" He asked as his eyes popped open wide.
