Everyone seemed too drunk to notice me as I slipped by them and out the door. I enjoyed the fresh air and heavily breathed it in before getting into Billy's car. I waited for him to follow me out.
"No shirt?" I commented as he got into the car.
As soon as the door had shut he reached over to give me a light kiss on the lips. I hummed in response as he drove off.

"Jesus fuck Margaret be quiet!" Billy said while trying to shush me as he tried to sneak me back into my own house.
"Funny." I said poking his nose and laughing loudly to irritate him.
"You can't go inside if you keep fucking acting like this." He said irritated at my drunken state. He held onto my upper arm tightly trying to support my weight as he dug around in my bag for a key. I couldn't stop myself from laughing at him.
"Fuck it." He groaned, clearly tired of trying to get me into my house silently. He picked me up bridal style and walked down the street to his own house two doors down. I fought against his grip suddenly angry at him.
"Let me go!"
He just rolled his eyes at me and slammed his front door open letting it smack against the wall. I smiled knowing he'd be caught which would force him to let go of me.
He walked into the kitchen and dumped me on the nearest chair he could find which gave me time to see the crudely written note that was on the fridge. It read "We'll be back by tomorrow. Take Max to school, eggos in the fridge for breakfast.". I groaned in frustration. He disappeared around the corner for a second so I got up and started wandering. I led myself down a hall where a red headed girl jumped out at me.
"Holy shit Margo what are you doing here?" Max panted out.

"Heeeeyyyy! Usually this happens the other way around!" I mentioned to her as I remembered all the times she'd come over late at night when she didn't want to be in her own house.
"Oh my god you are so drunk." She led me by the hand to Billy's room and once she shoved me inside she shut the door. I noticed the bookcase still wasn't touched from where we left it. I slowly began picking up books and placing them where I thought they belonged. Once I had all the books back in their spots I picked up the random trinkets, trying to avoid the broken glass, and put them back as well.
"What are you doing?" I heard a voice question. I jumped and turned around quickly to find Billy leaning against the door frame with a glass of water and painkillers in his hand. Ignoring his question I put my hands out signaling like a toddler that I'd really really really like some aspirin right about now. He walked forward and handed me the water. I took a big gulp trying to clear my head of the drunken fog. I quickly snatched the aspirin from him and began dumping them out onto my palm.
"WOAH!" he shouts at the amount I just poured onto my hand. I had about 9 so he quickly snatched them back and left me with two as he swiftly recapped the bottle. "Don't fucking play with me. You take TWO like the directions say."
I rolled my eyes at him as I popped them into my mouth quickly before he remembered you aren't suppose to take aspirin with alcohol in your system anyways.
"Holy shit." I muttered as I fell back down onto his bed exhausted.

I felt like absolute shit when I woke up. My head was pounding and I know I must have had mascara smudged all over my eyes. I turned over expecting someone to be in the room. I scanned the area lightly. Trying to avoid the bright lights that would make my headache flare up again. I could smell something cooking from downstairs and I hesitantly went to investigate. I popped my head around each corner as I went making sure no one but Billy was home. Finally making it to the kitchen I stopped and observed my surroundings. Billy hummed to himself as he tried to unstick the waffle from the waffle iron. He burned his finger causing his arm to fly back as he blew on his fingers mumbling profanities. He eventually got smart with it and used a fork to peel it away before realizing he had no plate to put it on, causing him to smack his own forehead in annoyance. He turned lightly on his heel to find a plate from the cupboard when his eyes met mine.

"Morning Sunshine." He said as he lazily walked over to me and took my head in his hands, observing me for visible damage.
"Ow the only damage done is to my ego stop!" I muttered smacking his hands away.
Out of nowhere he laughed at me. What the fuck. I looked at him as he threw his head back and laughed almost doubling over.
"What the hell are you laughing at?"
He took my face in his hands again before lightly wiping under my eyes. His hands pulled away to reveal that I had black mascara smudged everywhere. "A little raccoon!" He said still laughing at his own joke.
"Oh jesus fucking christ!" I muttered as I stomped my way back up the stairs leaving a still laughing Billy downstairs to burn his fingers on waffles.
I turned on the shower praying I'd be able to figure out which was hot and cold so I didn't have a miserable shower. I chucked my clothes into the corner and stepped in. The water was warm and felt good against my skin and helped clear away the headache I had. My whole body was sore but mostly my thigh and pelvis area. I thought it was odd but didn't think too hard about it once I realized there was only men's shampoo and a bar of soap in the shower. I groaned knowing I'd smell like a man when I got out.
Once I did get out I snatched up the nearest towel and walked back into his room. I picked up my backpack that was laying across the floor and hoped I still had an extra outfit in there from when I went to the pool. The only thing I pulled out was luckily some underwear, and unluckily a bathing suit top and flip flops. I put on the underwear and then took it upon myself to dig through Billy's drawers to find something to wear. There was absolutely nothing that was gonna fit my bottom half so I settled on a light blue hoodie that had "California" stamped on the front and put my own jean shorts back on. I dropped the towel into the laundry basket in the corner and brushed through my hair with my fingers trying to look presentable as I walked back down the hallway.
I found Billy sitting at a small table with two plates full of waffles and a bottle of syrup smack in the middle. He didn't even notice I came in because he was too busy shoving food into his mouth. He looked ridiculous at such a small table as he had to lean over it awkwardly. Now it was my turn to laugh at him.
He pointed his fork in my direction before saying "You don't get to talk raccoon face!" through a mouthful of waffle. I just rolled my eyes at him before sitting down in front of him and putting syrup on my own plate.
"So." He began with a smirk on his face. "How are your thighs?"
I nearly spit out my waffle but I choked it back down. "Why?"
His eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets. "Do you not remember?"
"Remember what?" I asked unsure of what he was referring to.

Welcome to the world of Fantasiaia, a world full of magic, epic monsters, heroic battles and more! It's the new, cutting edge VRMMORPG world what everyone has dreamed about! And now welcome Markus Fickus, your average young man in our average and boring world! He was just an ordinary man, until one day, something changed his whole life. As he ate his breakfast on that fateful morning, little did he know that he would choke on his coffee and die—just to be reincarnated in the world of Fantasiaia! "Wait, what?" Mark said, looking up from his bowl of cereal. He didn't follow the script properly, and forgot to prepare his coffee. "I thought Fantasiaia was a VRMMO," Mark muttered as he made his way to his coffee machine. "How can someone reincarnate into a game?" Of course, what Mark didn't know was that logic and reason didn't matter. It was magic! Besides, everyone loves virtual reality stories and reincarnation novels. So why not have both? Mark shook his head sadly, but prepared his coffee in silence. When he finished, he looked up at the sky—and saw only the dull white ceiling of his apartment. He felt utterly cheated that the last thing he would see in this world was the peeling paint on the wall. "They are not paying me enough for this," Mark grumbled, then drank up his coffee. And then he died. PS: I found the cover picture on THE INTERNET. By no means will I tell you the artist's name or give any credit to them, but I let you know that the image is not mine.
