Hermione and I appeared at the door to Dumbledore's office.
"How did you do-"
"I've learned a few things from the library." Hermione cut me off.
The door opened slowly, we entered to see Dumbledore pacing his office.
"I've been expecting you to come one of these times, Ms Stewart." Dumbledore announced.
I had never been in his office before this.
Don't know if that's good or bad.
"Can we..." Hermione trailed off.
"Of course, best to get them out while they are fresh." Dumbledore walked over to us.
He led us to a corner of his office.
There stood an almost sink looking object, filled with a glowing liquid.
"What is it?" I asked, slowly inched forward.
The way the liquid swirled was mesmerizing.
"Hogwarts' Pensieve, you can review memories. Your's or other's, copies of them at least. I've used it many times to go over different memories, to see if I've missed anything." Dumbledore spoke.
"Does it hurt?" I looked at him.
"Extracting them, no. But, some times reliving things you've seen, gives you a different kind of pain." Dumbledore put his wand to my head.
A white glowing string pulled from my head, and dangled at the end of his wand.
He quickly dropped the memories into the bowl.
"Ready?" Hermione looked over at me.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I nodded.
We both stuck our faces into the Hogwarts' Pensieve, and opened our eyes.
We saw nothing, but white.
As everything slowly came into focus.
Hermione and I, appeared in the halls of Hogwarts.
We were in the memories, walking through them.
Everything had a white, glowing hue to it.
.
"This must be the Yule Ball." I told Hermione.
"You were going back for my shoes." She took my hand, and we ran after me.

Memory me couldn't see us or hear us, no one could.
Real life me, and real life Hermione could only, see and hear each other.
We followed me back into the room.
We watched as Draco stood before me, dangling Hermione's shoes into the air.
"You coming back for these, or did you just want to look at me one last time?" Draco spoke.
"What is he doing?" Hermione asked me.
"Shh, just watch. Your questions with answer themselves." I hushed her.
"I knew it." Hermione lightly smacked my shoulder.
I couldn't tell if she was excited or angry.
"This is... actually adorable." Hermione smiled as we watched.
"Is that my wand, or am I happy to see you?"
"Ignore that." I chuckled at Hermione.
She squinted her eyes at me, and shook her head.
"Whats going on?!" Hermione yelled.
"Five minutes before midnight, he's taking me through the Slytherin house as a short cut." I yelled back to her.
We both ran as we followed Draco and, I through the dark, quiet halls.
Hermione and I, stopped as memory Draco and I did, by that door at the end of the Slytherin hall.
"C
"I knew it wasn't Cedrick's." Hermione laughed.
We were quickly surrounded by white, as another memory flooded in.
We were at the top of the Gryffindor stairs now.
I walked out of the Gryffindor hall.
"You asshole!" I said, ripping the cloak off of Draco.
"Draco was in our room?!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Shhhhhh." I hushed her.
"How am I the asshole? You're the one lying to her. Letting her call me the 'mystery man', when you know it's me." Draco said angrily.
"You left marks on my neck.... and it's probably best if she didn't know...." I looked at the ground.

"Why does it matter if she knows or not?" Draco spoke with a stern tone.
"It's not about just her, it's about your friends and mine. Your friends don't like mine, and mine don't like yours." I told him.
"Why does that matter?" Draco asked me, this tone was soft.
"I don't know why it matters to them so much, but it does." I looked down at the ground.
Draco put his finger tips underneath my chin, lifting my face to look up and at him.
"But why does that matter to us?"
"Because, Mr Malfoy... You're telling me if your friends saw us walking down the hallway together talking... that they wouldn't say anything to you about it? They would. You care too much about their opinions. " I crossed my arms over my chest, and looked at him.
"Come on then, put the cloak on. Follow me." Draco threw the cloak over me, and took me by the hand.
We ran through the halls, following Draco and I, as we went through the front entrance of the Slytherin house.
Crabbe and Goyle stood in the common room of the Slytherin house.
"Guys, I have something to tell you." Draco announced.
"What's that?" Goyle asked him as he adjusted his posture, while Crabbe stepped closer.
"I... um.... want to be left alone for the night." Draco trailed off.
We followed Draco into his room.
Draco shut, and locked the door behind us.
"It's not so easy, is it?" I asked him as I yanked the cloak off of me. I dropped it on the floor.
"Shut up, I panicked. " Draco flopped on his bed, and rubbed his eyes.
Everything when white again, as we flashed into another memory.
