《Emerald》14

Hermione had left for the weekend, it would give her time to cool off... and for me to figure out a lie to get myself out of this situation.
I went back to my room after I finished my breakfast.
What the hell was I suppose to tell her?
I couldn't tell her the truth.
She would tell Ron, and Harry.
They wouldn't talk to me for weeks.
I don't think they they could come to terms with me sneaking around with Draco Malfoy.
I don't think they could even stomach me being friends with him.
I needed to go on a walk and have a cigarette, to clear my head.
I put my winter boots on, along with my jacket.
I slipped my pack of cigarettes in the pocket, and walked out the door.
I walked for a while outside, boy it was cold.
Once I got too the property line, I sat down on a stump that was hidden by a bush.
I quickly lit my cigarette and put it too my lips.
I took a few long drags, it helped to calm me down.
"I thought I smelled a cigarette." Cedrick said, popping out from behind the bush, causing me to jump.
"You scared the shit out of me." I laughed.
"I see that." Cedrick motioned for me to move over.
He sat next to me, and took the cigarette from my hands.
"You know, these are bad for you." He smiled before taking a few drags from it.
"I'm stressed, so I'm excused." I said taking the cigarette back.
"Why's that?" He asked me.
"Well, I went down to breakfast with Hermione today. Draco came down, and he had a nice bright stain of lipstick on his mouth, face and neck. Hermione said 'that lipstick shade looks familiar', before she stormed away." I finished the cigarette and shoved the butt into the snow.

"Yeah, I saw him in one of the bathrooms trying to scrub it off about ten minutes ago.... It wasn't working out for him." Cedrick kicked snow over the cigarette.
"So now, I gotta figure out how to make her think it wasn't me." I sighed, I began to shiver. It was slightly breezy out, making it colder than it already was.
"You can always tell her I was wearing red lipstick." Cedrick joked, "lets get inside, it's freezing."
Cedrick, and I went back inside. We sat at a table in the grand hall.
"She doesn't know you went to his party, right?" He asked me.
"That was the only party that was going on last night." I buried my face in my hands.
"Well, there had to be 100 or even more people there. At least 40 of them were girls, you can't tell me that not one of them was wearing red lipstick?"
"Yeah, but she's not stupid. That explanation isn't going to cut it for her. "
"Well, I stayed with you the whole night. I'll tell her you never left my side, and I'll tell her we didn't even talk to Draco. She's not gonna ask him." Cedrick smiled.
"You'd lie for me?" I asked him.
"I got your back, you're my friend." Cedrick stuck his hand out, and I gave it a shake.
My owl swooped down, and dropped a letter between Cedrick and I.
I opened it quickly.
I handed the letter to Cedrick, he laughed as he read it.
"Well, I've got to get going. I'll catch you later." I laughed as I got of from the table.
I ran back to the Gryffindor stairs, and there sat Draco on the top most stair.

"That shade of red looks lovely on you." I joked as I opened the door.
"Shut up." He spat at me.
Dracos eyes looked tired, he looked warn out.
I quietly snuck him into my room.
There were hardly any students that stayed at Hogwarts over Christmas weekend, but you can never be too careful.
"Sit down on the bed." I ordered him.
"Don't tell me what to do." Draco crossed his arms, and puffed his chest up.
A tricky one he was, always changing up his mood.
"Do you want me to help you? Don't be a dick head. I sat with you for nearly 2 hours last night as you puked your guts out, and wined." I spat back at him.
Draco swallowed hard, and he quickly sat down.
I grabbed a makeup removing wipe, and started cleaning the red off of his face and neck.
"I'm sorry." Draco said looking away. He spoke as quiet as a mouse, I could barely hear his words as they left his lips.
"For what?" I asked him, as I threw the wipe away.
"Having to deal with that last night." He sounded, and looked embarrassed.
"Don't worry about it, I wasn't gonna just leave you there last night. Besides, you're a lot less of an asshole when you're piss drunk." I replied.
He nodded, and bit his lip.
Draco looked up at me, and smirked.
He stood up quickly and picked me up by my thighs.
I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Hermione saw your lipstick this morning. What are we gonna do about that?" I asked, him as I looked down at his face.
"Well we could.." Draco spun me around, and laid me on Hermione's bed.
Both of his arms were right next to my head, as he held himself up.
Draco's thin silver chain that was around his neck, dangled in my face.
I wrapped my legs around his waist.
"....Do something on her bed. Show her who's boss?"
Draco raised an eyebrow at me, and began softly kissing my neck.
"Cedrick said he would lie to her. He would tell Hermione that I never left his sight. " I giggled as he began kissing my neck more roughly.
"Shhh..." Draco hushed me, as he picked me back up.
He sat down on my bed, placing me on his lap.
