《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Personal Superhero

Not long after our conversation with Frigga, we showed her to Thor's empty room. We offered our floor, but she refused. She planned to stay for a few days while Odin believed her to be on a trip to Vanaheim to see an old friend. Frigga wanted to help start the wedding planning. She was far more excited than I was, but she knew I couldn't return to Asgard until everything with Odin was settled.

Loki made sure I ate before leading me back to our room. As soon as we were alone, and the door shut, he asked me the question that had been on his mind since my conversation with Frigga in the living room.

"Kitten, what about the wedding did you want to discuss in private?" Loki asked me, pulling me closer to him by my waist. He was trying to comfort himself, stop from worrying over whatever I had to say, but I could tell it wasn't working.

"It's nothing bad, my love." I smiled warmly and pressed a light kiss on his lips. "Relax." I whispered against him.

"As you wish." He sighed and kissed me again, fully capturing my lips for a few, slow, seconds . "Now, what was it you wanted to talk about?"

I pulled back, slightly nervous, and blushed lightly while looking away.

"I-Uhm..." I stuttered. "Well, when we were talking about tradition, I realized I wanted to combine some." I told him and finally met his eyes again. He was skeptical about what I meant.

"You wouldn't be that nervous, if that was all." He told me seriously.

"No, that's all..." I said slowly. "Mostly Asgardian, but I wanted to add a few Midgardian things... and... Jotunn..." I mumbled slightly. Loki froze immediately after the word left my mouth. "...maybe?..." I added I a small squeak.

"Jotunn...?" Loki asked carefully, staring off somewhere behind me, but not actually looking at anything.

"I-I-I want our wedding to be a representation of us and... you're both Asgardian and Jotunn." I explained getting more nervous the longer Loki didn't look at me.

"Mhm..." He hummed. I could tell how hard he was thinking when a crease appeared between his eyebrows. I sighed and pressed my finger to rub the worry line away.

"You're worrying too hard, my prince."

He licked his bottom lip and pulled it into his mouth as he continued to think.

"That... I don't think that will go over very well." Loki told me. "Jotunn don't marry. The women are treated as possessions given or traded by their families." He explained, making me scoff slightly.

"So, not too differently from the women on earth." I smirked.

"No, love, I don't think you understand. They are more owned. Their only use is to continue the males bloodline." Loki stressed. I tilted my head, trying to understand.

"But, some of the women are warriors." I was confused since I knew Jotunn held their warriors in high regard.

"Yes," Loki nodded, "they are not seen as women. They are warriors of Jotunheim."

"So, warrior women don't have children?" I asked.

"No, they do." Loki said. "Warriors reproduce to birth more warriors."

"Hmm." I hummed with a slight pout. I really wanted to add Jotunn culture in there somewhere. "Ok." I muttered sadly. Loki was watching me now, seeing my reaction. "Do the warriors have some type of ceremony?"

"They do." Loki told me hesitantly. "They gift each other with their long swords infused with ice. The blade would normally have their vow of protection etched into it."

"I like that one, less possessive." I smiled.

"Love, neither of us use long swords." He smirked. "It would specifically need to be the one used in their last battle fought together. I have one and have used it in battle, but prefer my daggers."

"Then we tweak it a little bit, to fit us." I explained, my smile getting bigger. This felt right.

"I don't believe Odin will be very happy about a Jotunn Warriors ceremony during our wedding. And that's if he approves the royal wedding, which is already a big 'if'."

"The ceremony is Frigga's to approve, not Odin's. She already told us that and I'm pretty sure your mother will approve it." I told Loki. A smile pulled at his lips as he pulled me closer and started to sway us gently.

"She already thinks of you as her daughter. She is your mother, too, now, if that's what you want." Loki said, smile getting wider.

"Frigga is the closest thing to my mother I have in this world." I looked down and smiled sadly, but fondly. After a moment, the sadness and pain took over. "Do you-" my breath caught as tears came to my eyes and I was suddenly choking out the words. "Do you think it makes me a horrible daughter? Replacing her like that?" I sniffed, trying to keep my voice low even though no one could hear.

"No, Kitten," Loki shook his head and hugged me to his chest, "I choose to believe that she would be happy for you. Happy you found comfort in the reminder of her." He told me.

I couldn't help the sad laugh as I thought of my mom and all of my favorite moments with her. I wished I could express to Loki how important those moments were. Loki paused our swaying and was quite, it took me a moment to notice.

"I-" Loki stuttered in confusion as he looked to be focused on something. "Are you doing that?" He questioned. Now, I was just as confused.

"Doing what?" I asked. Loki smiled warmly and I could see him start to tear up. He was quiet for another few seconds before laughing at something lightly.

"The... memories," he told me, "of your mother. I-I can see them." Loki continued. "They're so vivid."

"What are you talking about?" I questioned and shifted on my feet.

"I can see your mother through your eyes. I think you're somehow showing me your memories of her." Loki said in awe. "You look so much like her."

He was right, I did. Very few features were my fathers. I had his eyes and height, but everything else was a copy of my mother.

"You were happy with them." Loki mumbled. "You're mother and father." He clarified. "Why aren't there more memories of your family together?" Loki asked and started blinking rapidly, as if to blink the images away.

"My dad traveled a lot for work and when he was home, he was in his office until late." I explained. "He always made sure I had everything I needed, though. He worked hard to give us a good life. Unfortunately, that meant he sacrificed a lot of his time with us. But, mom was always there to fill in the gaps." I smiled as I thought back again. "She was my personal superhero."
