《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Goddess of Marriage

Before Loki could respond, bright lights lit the sky up outside. The loud strike of the Bifrost sounding. Loki sighed and looked down.

"Of all the times that oaf chooses to interrupt, he chose now." Loki grumbled.

"But, if he's already back, that could only mean one of two things." I said and looked at Loki with a worried frown.

Loki annoyed expression turned to worry as he turned and headed straight for the door. I followed behind him. It was hard not to teleport out there and figure out what was wrong, but I knew I should stay with Loki.

The elevator dinged open and Vision, Pietro, and Wanda stepped out. The first floor, where their rooms were, was technically the basement level. The second level was where the front door was.

"I thought Thor was staying in Asgard?" Pietro asked Loki.

"He was supposed to." Loki grumbled as he made his way to the outside door. He threw the door open and took a few steps outside before stopping completely. "Mother?"

I was right behind Loki, but he was blocking my view. I popped my head from behind him and froze.

"Frigga!" I smiled widely and practically ran into her arms. She laughed and wrapped her arms around me, kissing the top of my head as she did.

"Hello, dear." Frigga smiled, still laughing lightly.

"Mother, what are you doing here?" Loki asked with furrowed brows.

"I can't come visit my son and his soon to be wife?" She questioned in a teasing voice. I finally pulled away and let her go.

"Of course you can, Mother, but you haven't visited Midgard in over a thousand years." Loki smiled and finally hugged her. "Is everything alright in Asgard?"

"For now." Frigga told her son and kissed his cheek. "And, I never had a reason to visit before."

Loki pulled away when the rest of the Avengers came out of the door. They froze when they saw Loki hugging a, seemingly random, woman.

"Oh, hello." Frigga turned to the group of people behind us. "Forgive me for intruding on your night. I just wanted to visit my children."

My heart could have exploded when Frigga laid her hand on my shoulder. It took my brain an extra second to react to the fact that she included me when she said 'my children'.

"Queen Frigga, I presume." Steve stepped forward and introduced himself. "I'm Steve Rogers. It's a pleasure to meet you, Ma'am."

"Pleasure is all mine." Frigga smiled warmly before grabbing my hand. "Why don't we all finish this conversation inside, yes?" She hummed. Everyone agreed and I let her silently lead me back inside and to the kitchen.

"Can I get you anything to drink?" I asked her and turned to the cabinets to automatically get tea out. I also started the coffee pot for Steve.

"Sure, dear. Tea, if you have it." Frigga told me before Loki pulled her away to introduce everyone. I could feel how happy Loki was through the bond, but I could also feel his worry. As he was introducing the others, he kept glancing up at me, making sure I was ok.

With all the adrenaline in me, I was shaky. Adrenaline from my nightmare and from seeing Frigga ran through my veins, making it a little difficult to get everything together.

"You're still shaking." Loki said and covered my hand with one of his as I was taking down some mugs. I sighed and turned to lean against the counter.

"I know, but I'm ok now." I told him. "It's just all the excitement. It'll stop in a little bit." I explained before taking a breath and turning back to the mugs.

Wanda, Natasha, Frigga, Loki, and I liked tea. Well, I actually preferred coffee, but with everything going on, tea was definitely the better option. Steve got coffee, black, and Pietro always took juice. I made myself and Loki a peppermint tea, while everyone else got chamomile. I grabbed a serving tray after pouring the boiling water into the mugs and adding the tea packets. I then grabbed honey, sugar, and milk to set on the tray. The last thing I grabbed was Steve's coffee and Pietro's juice before bringing the tray into the sitting room where everyone was talking softly. Loki stayed with me the entire time, waiting silently until I needed him.

"Sammee, dear, Thor told me you wanted an Asgardian wedding." Frigga said as I set the tray on the coffee table and started handing out drinks.

"Yes, I do. Midgardian weddings have tradition, but they've lost their meaning over the years. It's no longer a vow, it's easily broken." I explained before handing Frigga her tea. She looked so out of place here in her gold and white dress. Everyone else was in comfortable clothes and leaning back against their seat. Frigga sat perfectly straight and looked every bit like the Queen she was.

"That's wonderful!" Frigga smiled before moving and gently grabbing my hand to pull me to sit next to her. "Has he told you of our traditions, yet?" She asked me. I leaned forward to grab my mug before turning my attention to her and shaking my head.

"No, but there's actually something else I wanted to talk to him about. Maybe add something." I smiled shyly at my cup. Loki was sitting behind me on the arm of the couch and I turned my head to glance at him.

"What did you want to add, kitten?" Loki asked curiously. I looked around at all the Avengers listening in before answering him.

"We should probably discuss it privately." I told him. "Nothing bad, I promise." I assured with a smile and leaned back to be touching him. "I'm not sure if Odin would allow it, though."

"He doesn't have to allow it. That is my territory, not my husbands." Frigga told me.

"But, I thought Odin would have to approve a royal wedding." I asked with my brow furrowed. Frigga nodded once and laid a hand over one of my own in my lap.

"Normally, yes, but one of my lesser known titles is the goddess of marriage." She explained. "Odin will not be the one blessing your marriage."

"You haven't used that title in ages, Mother." Loki mentioned, a small smile on his lips. "And, although Odin can't interfere with the ceremony, he still needs to approve a royal being married to an outsider."

"I suppose that it true." Frigga sighed. "If only he would drop his scheming."

"Do you know what he's planning?" I asked worriedly and turned my hand over to hold Frigga's. She clicked her tongue against her teeth and shook her head.

"Unfortunately, I do not." She told us. "He's been acting strange lately, almost frantic."

"Does he still want her to be with Thor instead of Loki?" Steve chimed in as he sipped his coffee.

"I'm not sure that was ever his goal." Frigga said with a small frown. "He wants Sammee on Asgard, that I do know." She explained. "He was angry when you left. It took everything and a promise from Thor, to calm him down."

"Wait, what did Thor promise?" Loki asked and sat up a bit straighter. I could feel a small flash of jealousy through the bond.

"I'm not sure. They spoke privately and Thor was ordered not to speak of it." Frigga said sadly with a small shake of her head.

"Could Odin be a danger to Earth?" Natasha asked. Frigga glanced at her before seriously thinking the question over.

"It is always a possibility." She told Nat sadly. "Especially since Earth has something he wants." Frigga said and looked at me, squeezing my hand that was still in hers.
