《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Leaving Avengers Tower

Loki and I had to wake up early the next day to pack the rest of our essentials. It was moving day and the top floors of the tower were now empty, with the exception of a few pieces of furniture we weren't taking. I couldn't help but walk through the empty space Loki and I shared, thinking of all of the moments that made our relationship. It was a bittersweet moment, seeing all of our things gone.

Everyone met at the quinjet with the rest of their things packed. The movers had already taken the boxes of our stuff over to the compound. All that was left was us.

"Ready to go?" Steve asked as he walked down the ramp of the quinjet. I smiled and glanced at Loki, who was walking next to me while holding my hand.

"We're ready." I said while looking at Loki. He smiled softly at me and squeezed my hand.

"Ok, we're just waiting on Clint, then." Steve told us. I looked passed him to see Natasha in the copilot seat with the empty pilot's seat waiting for Clint. Vision and the Maximoff twins were sitting and talking softly to each other, but I didn't see Thor anywhere.

"Wait, we're still missing Thor."

"That's because I'm not going." Thor said from behind me. I turned to see him looking at me softly while leaning against the glass wall.

"What do you mean you're not going?" I frowned and let go of Loki's hand to cross my arms.

"I'll be going back to Asgard, Little Sister." Thor told me and pushed off the wall to walk toward us.

"Oh..." I said sadly and looked up to him. "How long will you be gone?" I questioned. Thor shrugged before pulling me into a hug.

"Hopefully not too long." He sighed with a small, sad smile. "But, I'll make sure to talk to mother, tell her all about your and Loki's engagement."

"Tell Heimdall, too." I mumbled into his shoulder. Thor laughed and let me go to crush Loki in a hug.

"Look out for her, Brother." Thor told him as Loki tried to get out of his grip. Once Thor let go of Loki, Loki huffed and straightened out his suit.

"I always look after her." Loki grumbled in annoyance at his brother. Thor was about to respond, but Clint ran onto the launch deck while carrying a duffle bag over his shoulder.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm ready." He told us and moved to take his seat in the pilot's chair.

"You should get going." Thor told us and I quickly jumped forward for one last hug.

"Please, stay safe." I whispered to him before letting go. Thor looked at me and nodded with a kind smile. Loki grabbed my hand, interlacing our fingers together, and started to lead me to the quinjet.

We took our seats once we go on and I waved at Thor as Clint closed the back hatch.

"Everyone ready?" Clint asked and waited for everyone to chime their agreement. The quinjet took off soon after and we all said goodbye to our old home.

Once we were in the air, I jumped up and walked over to Clint and Natasha. I leaned my arm on the side of the pilot's chair as I looked down at Clint.

"So..." I drawled out. "How's that fam?" I asked with a small smirk. He was only here now for the move. After that, he was going back to the farmhouse.

"Oh, just fine." He sighed out sarcastically. "Lila's been asking about you nonstop, thanks for that." Clint grumbled as I snorted.

"It's not my fault she likes me more than you." I teased him. "And Laura?" I asked next.

"Getting anxious. She's in her last week and is ready for Nathaniel to come already. She's over the whole 'being pregnant' thing." Clint laughed lightly and I couldn't help the giant smile on my face as I rested a hand on his shoulder.

"That kid's going to have some amazing parents." I told him and squeezed his shoulder. Clint glanced back at me with a grateful smile and placed one of his hands over mine, giving a gentle squeeze back. "So, how long do we have you until you leave?"

"I'll get set up at the compound, probably stay the night, but I'll leave first thing in the morning. You guys probably won't even be up yet." He said and released my hand.

"I expect about a hundred baby pictures when Nathaniel is born." I told him seriously.

"Ditto." Natasha said from her seat next to us.

"Or, Nat and I will come kidnap him for a few hours until we get our fill." I threatened.

"Damn straight." Natasha nodded with a smirk on her face. Clint shook his head with a smile on his face.

"I'll give Laura your number. I'm sure you'll get a million pictures from her." Clint told me.

"Perfect." I nodded in agreement. "Those kids are probably the safest kids in the world." I mumbled. "Wish I had the Avengers back me up when I was their age. Could you imagine someone trying to bully them in school?"

"I pity whoever tries." Natasha said, making me chuckle. "Not because of us, but because of them. Lila's known how to punch since she could make a fist. I made damn sure of that."

"She's just starting to get into Archery, too." Clint mentioned. "She's finally strong enough to pull the bowstring back."

"Is Cooper interested in archery at all?" I asked. Clint shook his head.

"Nah, he used to be until he leaned how much practice goes into it. He's into baseball right now. Just joined a little league team and everything." Clint said proudly.

"You'll have to let us know when his games are." I told Clint. "Maybe we'll have time to see one or two."

"Doubt it." Natasha mumbled. "You should go sit back down. We'll be landing in a minute."

I always forgot how fast these quinjets were. Flying at Mach 3 was sometimes hard to comprehend. I nodded to acknowledge Nat before heading back to sit next to Loki. As soon as I took my seat, Loki put his arm around me to pull me into his side. He was listening to a story Wanda was telling them about when she was a child.

"So," Pietro started after Wanda was done talking. "When do we start this training program?" He asked Steve.

"After we get settled at the new base. Maybe next week?" Steve said in a slight question. "Sammee, we also need to go over your new abilities." Steve told me. My head snapped to him and I furrowed my brow.

"New abilities?" I asked before remembering what I did to Sokovia. "No," I shook my head, "absolutely not. I destroyed an entire city, I'm not risking destroying half of New York."

"But, that's why you need to lean how to control it. If your emotions trigger another outburst like that before you can control it, it'll be too late." Steve explained. "You were also able to teleport yourself, and Loki, to Korea."

"I teleported living matter without an exchange." I said softly as I thought.

"And, you teleported across the world." Loki added. "It would be smart to utilize that."

"But, what if I can only do that because of the state I was in?" I asked and looked back up at Loki.

"We now know what you're truly capable of. It might take a while to get there on your own, but now we know you can, eventually." Loki told me with a soft smile.

"You were also able to force your will on others." Vision said. "It seems that your connection to the Mind Stone gives you certain some control over the mind."

"So, I can basically... brainwash people?" I asked. "Whatever you do, no one tell Bucky about that power."

"Does that mean he'll be back soon?" Steve asked hopefully. I looked over at him with a small sad smile.

"Next year." I told him. "And I'm kicking his ass for running." I said seriously. Steve chuckled and nodded.

"I'm sure he expects you to." Steve laughed.

"Landing in thirty seconds." Natasha called back to us. We all turned to buckle our seatbelts and got ready to welcome our new home.
