《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Movement Mapping

I washed my hands as quickly as possible and took smaller sips of my water until my throat felt better. I was too freaked out to go back to bed, so I decided to go to my lab. I needed to start on my next project, anyway. I teleported to my lab and deflated when I saw most of my equipment packed up.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y.?" I called the A.I. I was actually a little scared she wouldn't answer, like in my nightmare.

"Yes, Skydive?" F.R.I.D.A.Y. responded. My shoulders relaxed from their tense position when I heard a response.

"Is Tony awake?" I asked, but I knew it was a long shot knowing how late it was.

"Yes, Ma'am."

...Never mind...

"Can you ask him if I can use his lab since mine is packed up?"

"Yes, Ma'am." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said before the lab went back into silence. "He is already in his lab, and has invited you to help him work on his new Ironman suit."

I nodded to myself, then headed out of my lab and across the hall to Tony's lab/workshop. The doors automatically opened for me and Tony stopped what he was doing to look up at me. He had a pencil sideways between his teeth and attempted to talk around it.

"Wvt uhr ou dowink awvke?"

"What?" I asked with a slight laugh and shook my head. Tony rolled his eyes and spit the pencil out from his mouth.

"What are you doing awake?" He tried again. I shrugged and took lazy steps to his workbench where he was sitting.

"Been asleep for a few days, so I was only able to sleep for a few hours." I lied easily. I rested my hands on the bench and leaned forward, closer to Tony. "You needed help with your suits?" I asked to take the attention off of me. Tony grumbled a sigh and rubbed his forehead. He eyed me while thinking for a minute before making his mind up about something and speaking.

"I'm programming F.R.I.D.A.Y. to read fighting patterns and apply them to a software that will track and counter attacks appropriately." Tony told me. I furrowed my brows at him.

"I know the bare minimum when it comes to computer programming. The little I know was for my degree and-"

"I know, I know." Tony waved me off. "That's not what I need you for. I could out-code you in my sleep."

"Ok, ouch, I'm not that bad." I scoffed with faux offense. "What do you need me to do then?"

"I need to map out your fighting style." He explained.

"Can't you get it from the gyms camera footage?" I asked, because surly he could. "Then you'll have everyone's, not just mine."

"I already did, but it's not as accurate as if I put sensors on you to map your movements." Tony told me and gestured to a full bodysuit with sensors on the other side of the workbench.

"Wouldn't Nat, or Steve be a better choice to map?" I asked and lifted the suit covered in lots of small circle-like movement trackers.

"Nat and Capsicle cant teleport." Tony responded. I noticed how he only gave a nickname to Steve and not Natasha. She would probably kick his ass if he did. "Plus, you're just as trained as them, and you counter faster than everyone, but Pietro." He shrugged. I turned to him with furrowed brows.

"What are you-" I started to ask why he would ever think I was on their level, but stopped myself. The only thing Steve had over me was strength and it was purely because of the super-soldier serum running through his veins. Natasha and I were basically trained the same way, by getting hit until we got it right. She was still better at hand-to-hand and undercover work, but I one upped, or matched her on everything else. "Holy shit..." I mumbled. I always thought of myself as a supporting character. I was only here to help them, guide them, make things less painful. I failed to realize that I was in this just as much, or more, than everyone else.

"Are you ok? What's wrong?" Tony asked when I spaced out and quickly stood from his seat. I blinked and looked up at him. He looked extremely worried, for some reason.

"I'm fine." I dismissed. "I just... I guess I never realized just how hard I've worked to make things less..." I got lost in thought again before I shook my head to clear it. "I don't know." I laughed it off softly. Tony seemed to relax before scoffing.

"You seriously forgot that you're a bad ass?" He questioned and shook his head at me.

"Well, its-" Its... what? "You guys are still superhero's to me, and to think that I could ever be right there with you... not as a hero, but as... something else..."

"You've worked hard, Skydive. Give yourself some credit." Tony told me as he sat back down in his chair. "So, you gonna suit up and help?" He asked hopefully. I rolled my eyes and slipped back into a slightly more playful mood.

"Ya, ya, whatever." I said and grapped the tracking suit off the workbench. It was then that I realized that I was still in only a long shirt. It was long, the shirt fit me like a dress. It was only a few inches away from covering my knees. I cleared my throat as a small bit of embarrassment flashed through me. "I'll-uh- I'll be right back." I told him and teleported to the bathroom.

The suit was easy to get on. It had a large zip in the front that went from neck to navel and the suit was made from stretchy material, unlike my Avengers suit. The only thing I really wanted to protest, was the color. It was an ugly, drab grey. No life, no color, no particular shape.

Once I had it on, I teleported back into Tony's lab.

"Where do you want me?" I asked, but the room was empty.

"Mr. Stark would like you to meet him in the gym." F.R.I.D.A.Y. informed me. I grumbled to myself and teleported to the gym.

Tony was standing to the side of the combat floor with his Ironman suit standing in front of him. He was tweaking a few things and hadn't noticed me.

"Did you really have to make this sensor suit the worst color imaginable?" I asked as I walked over to him. He glanced over his shoulder at me, this time with a screwdriver between his teeth. He hummed to acknowledge my question, but went back to tinkering with his suit. When he was done, he stood to his full height and took the screwdriver out of his mouth.

"I'm going to have you fight my suit until it wins. No teleporting this round, just hand-to-hand. We'll add teleportation to it later since I don't have a program that analyses your teleportation patterns...yet." He added.

"Ok." I nodded and swung my arms at my sides. "Beat the shit out of your suit, I can do that. One problem, though."

"And that is?" Tony prompted questioningly and turned to look at me.

"Well, ya see, your suit is made out of metal, and my body is made out of flesh." I mentioned. Tony rolled his eyes and picked up two gloves with more sensors on them.

"The suit you're wearing is meant to protect your body from the impact of the blows, yours and the Ironman suit. You just need the gloves." He said and handed them to me. "Come on, give me some credit."

"I'll give you credit if it works." I grumbled as I put the gloves on. They were lightweight, like the rest of the tracking suit, so it was easy to bend my fingers and make a fist.

"Whenever you're ready." Tony called out and sat down on the bench, staring down at his tablet, and waiting for results.
