《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》A Sokovian Dinner

Since I didnt know what was going on, I teleported to my room to try and give Loki a few seconds of warning. He was on his red sofa couch reading like he normally was this time of day.

"Run, run far, far way." I told Loki who looked confused before our bedroom door was thrown open. Both Loki and I turned our heads to see Thor standing in the doorway.

"What did you do now, Kitten?" Loki asked playfully, going back to his book.

"Not me..." I whispered to him seconds before he was ripped out of his chair by Thor.

"Thor," Loki tried to reason, but was cut off.

"Quiet." Thor told him and pulled him out of our room and into the spare room that use to be Loki's. The door shut behind them and I was tempted to ignore it and teleport in to see what the hell was going on, but decided against it.

I picked up Loki's book that he had dropped to the floor and sat in the seat he once occupied. I made myself comfortable and continued to read 'The Great Gatsby' from where Loki left off. Twenty minuets had gone by before Loki reentered the room, looking very annoyed.

"So?" I asked without taking my eyes off of the page I was in the middle of reading. "What'd you do?"

"Nothing," Loki sighed. "He was just over-reacting as Thor usually does."

"Really?" I asked and finally looked up from the book. "Thors the one that usually over-reacts?" I teased. Loki raised a brow at me and came around the couch to stop in front of me.

"Move up." He told me and gestured for me to sit up from laying against the arm of the couch. I sat up and made room for him to sit behind me so I could lay against his chest. I sat between his legs and settled comfortably against his him. His arms settled around me and I sighed.

"I love you." I mumbled shyly and closed my eyes, relaxing at the feeling of his fingertips grazing over my skin softly. Loki froze for a brief moment before humming and kissing me on the top of my head.

"And I, you, Dearheart." Loki told me. It was rarely said between the two of us, but it didn't have to be said. We knew how the other felt. Actions spoke louder than words, and his actions told me everything I needed to know about how he felt about me. "Did you still want to start learning Asgardian today?"

I nodded my head enthusiastically, making Loki chuckle. His arms wrapped around me before a shimmer of green magic flashed over his hands.

I blinked and saw a notebook and pen being set in my lap.

"We can start with the alphabet. Remember, repetition is key." Loki told me before starting his lesson. He would write each letter, tell me is name, and tell me the sound it made in a word. He then made me copy for two pages, say it's name over and over again, and say what sounds it made in a word. We got through the vowels before my stomach growled and I remembered dinner.

"Shit, we're late for dinner!" I announced and jumped up off the couch. "Hopefully there's still some left." I mumbled as I impatiently watched Loki slowly stand. I grabbed his hand and practically dragged him to the elevator. I could have just teleported, but I felt like it was rude to leave Loki by himself.

"Why are you so eager to get to dinner?" Loki questioned as we stepped into the elevator.

"Wanda cooked." I told him simply.

"So...?" Loki looked at me with his brows furrowed in confusion.

"So, I get to enjoy a home cooked meal that I didn't have to cook myself. No criticism, just enjoyment." I sighed and a fuzzy warm feeling spread throughout my chest.

Wanda and Pietro were alive and together. They ended up joining the Avengers after the battle with Ultron, though, technically, they didn't have a choice. Their home was destroyed, they had no other family, and they played a big part in Ultron's fight. Wanda and Pietro were terrorists before switching sides and helping us defeat Ultron, but the government didn't always look at the whole picture. Apparently, Cap and Tony pulled some strings, like they did with me when I was in trouble with the the UN, and had the Maximoff twins handed over to the custody of the Avengers.

The elevator stopped and the doors opened to the common area. All sorts of different delicious smells swirled throughout the air and my stomach growled in response.

"That's not fair!" Pietro's voice carried over to where Loki and I got off the elevator.

"I believe that's how the game is played." Wanda responded in a smug tone. "Now, pay up."

Loki and I turned to see Pietro, Wanda, and Vision at the head of the dining table. They were gathered around a monopoly game board and it looked like Pietro was losing. Thor, Steve, and Natasha were at the table, too, but they were sitting at the far end of the table. They were having a hushed conversation amongst themselves while watching how the intense game of monopoly played out.

"Please tell me you didn't eat all of the food." I called out as I walked quickly around the corner and into the kitchen. I deflated when I saw the empty pots and pans.

"Yours are in the oven." Wanda let me know while she counted her victory money she won from Pietro.

I opened the oven and glanced inside to see two plates piled high with pasta and a fresh loaf of spiced bread. I practically moaned at the smell and look of the food.

"Wanda, you're my favorite twin again." I told her as I pulled out our food.

"Wha- wait, thats not fair!" Pietro protested at my favoritism.

"Can you cook?" I asked him. He pouted and slouched his shoulders.

"No..." Pietro said.

"I actually have been wanting to talk to you." Wanda told me while looking down at her nails. "When you have time, of course." She added quickly and looked up to me.

"No problem!" I smiled at her and brought Loki's and my plate to the table. I sat next to Wanda and set Loki's plate next to me. "What's on your mind?" I asked and took a big bite of pasta, my eyes closing for a minute at how amazing it tasted.

"Don't you want to eat first?" She asked shyly. I opened my eyes and shook my head.

"I can multitask." I assured her and looked at her expectantly.

"Uhm, ok, I was just... uh- curious why you kept us safe during the experiments with Strucker."

My body immediately tensed at the HYDRA name. I swallowed the bite of pasta I had in my mouth before turning to speak to her.

"All they wanted were results. They didn't care if you were in pain, or if it killed you. I wanted to make sure you were taken care of, and the only person I trusted to do that was Loki." I explained. Loki's hand slid over and squeezed my upper thigh. I looked and him and smiled. The look in his eyes made a blush come to my cheeks. His eyes were soft and loving as they looked at me. I never got tired of him looking at me like that.

"But, we... weren't good." Wanda hung her head and picked nervously at her nails. I turned back to her and took a deep breath.

"You were hurt." I comforted her. "You had lost everything and had to basically raise yourselves. Of course you were angry."

"I'm curious," Pietro interrupted, "What would have happened if you did nothing?" He asked me. I froze in my seat.

"Nothing significant changed with HYDRA. Just less pain and torment." I told him.

"And Ultron? What happened with him?" Pietro questioned. By now, the rest of the group was listening into our conversation. My mood immediately turned sad and my appetite disappeared. I set my fork down and sat back in my seat.

"You-uh- you died." I said quickly without looking at anyone, especially Pietro.

"Pietro died?" Wanda squeaked out. "How?"

I finally looked up to see everyone staring at me, waiting to hear what I would tell them.

"It doesn't matter, Pietro is clearly alive. Let's not reminisce about things that didn't happen." Loki said protectively. I furrowed my brow and glanced at him, confused. I couldn't figure out why he snapped at them like that.

"It did happen." I told him. "In my world, It did happen."

"On your world it was a movie, fiction." Loki sighed and looked down at me, his thumb rubbing circles on the inside of my thigh.

"Does that mean that I didn't watch him die?" I asked.

"That's exactly what it means." Loki replied. I rolled my eyes at him and pushed his hand off of my leg.

"That's where you're wrong. As soon as I came here, everything I saw in those movie became real. Every death, every creation, every problem, everything." I explained a bit harshly. "So, in a way, you're right. It never happened for you, but I still saw it. It still happened for me."

"Kitten, I-"

"Don't." I sighed and shook my head. "We'll talk about it later." I said before turning back to Wanda and Pietro. "Ultron shot you." I told him. Pietro furrowed his brow and tilted his head.

"Why didn't I just step out of the way? I am faster than bullets." He asked.

"Because you were shielding someone." I explained. "Multiple someone's, actually." I smiled sadly.

"Who?" Pietro questioned curiously.

"A boy got separated from his mother and was hiding in the rubble. Clint found him and was carrying him back to the lifeboat when Ultron flew over in the quinjet. Clint was still in the middle of the street when Ultron started firing." I glanced at Loki before looking down at my lap.

"I saved them?" Pietro asked like a little kid hearing a story. I laughed softly and looked back up at him.

"You did." I nodded.

"So, what happened to the boy?" Wanda questioned, leaning in closer to me, but, unlike Pietro, she was leaning in out of worry for her brother.

"I made sure to keep everyone in groups, so no one would get lost. I also made sure Fury showed up faster than he did in the movie. The boy was already in the lifeboat with his mother. The only thing I didn't account for was..." I cleared my throat. "Was Loki."
