《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Forget Me Not

Loki's POV

Once Stark and I had spoken, we went to join the others in the common room. The entire Avengers team was there, excluding Barton and Banner. Wanda and Pietro were here, too, even if it was just for support. I also saw Fury and Agent Hill, but next to them was a new face. It must have been the 'sorcerer' everyone was referring to.

"Dr- I mean, Loki." Wanda corrected herself from using my HYDRA alias. "You're awake." She smiled. I gave her a polite nod, but didn't respond otherwise.

"I'm guessing Thor told you about Sammee by now?" The Captain asked. I took a deep breath to get everything under control before speaking.

"Most of it, yes." I confirmed. "Where's Banner? And the other one?"

"Banner went M.I.A. right after Ultron and Barton is at the farm." Fury answered.

"Ok," Rogers sighed. "Let us know if we mention something you don't know about yet. We need all the help we can get with this." He said and rubbed at his eyes with his fingers. No one was sitting in the many seats provided. Everyone's nerves were on edge "Anything new?" Steve asked and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Sammee spoke to Loki when we saw her." Thor told everyone.

"Good, that's good." Rogers nodded before he saw Thor's expression. "Or not?" He questioned us. I stayed quiet and looked at the ground.

"Not." Thor confirmed.

"So that theory is out." Stark groaned.

"What theory?" I asked and looked at him.

"We thought that she would become more reasonable when you were awake." Ms. Romanoff explained. I took a deep breath before letting it out in a frustrated sigh.

"I think I might have made it worse, actually." I informed them.

"She expected you to free her, didn't she?" Dr. Raynor asked. I nodded in confirmation. "How did she react when she realized you weren't going to let her out?"

"Like I betrayed her." I thought back to when I saw her. "She came to the conclusion that I didn't want a child with her." I told them.

"Well, no offense, Reindeer games, but you don't exactly look like daddy material." Stark sniggered to himself. I raised my brow and turned to look at him. It only took him a fraction of a second to understand. "Don't make it weird." He said with a disgusted frown on his face.

"So, the question remains." The woman sorcerer asked. "How do we help Sammee?"

"Grief counseling, medication, time, that's about all we can do." Dr. Raynor said. "It'll be trial and error, but it's something."

"I don't like that answer." Ms. Romanoff shook her head.

"Neither do I." Fury grumbled.

"There's got to be something else." Thor mumbled.

No one had an answer. Well, not at first, anyway. After it was clear there were no other ideas, the sorcerer spoke up.

"There is one thing I can do, but everyone would have to agree. We can't afford to have conflicting opinions." Her accent was soft and tone warm, but I could tell that this was a last resort type of answer. Unfortunately, we might need to go with a last resort.

"Don't keep it to yourself, Sabrina. What is it?" Stark sarcastically quipped. The woman looked around, making sure she looked each of us in the eye, before beginning her explanation.

"We could make her forget." She said. My eyes widened slightly as I stared at her. Not even I could do that.

"And you can do that?" Fury asked, speaking my exact thoughts.

"The spell has been used a handful of times, but yes. I could do it."

"And who are you to decide that for her?" I hissed at the newcomer. Her eyes turned to land on me and she gave me a small smile.

"A friend." She replied. The others continued to discuss the pros and cons while the Ancient One and I were locked in a staring contest. She was strong willed, I'd give her that.

"It would be unethical for us to do that to Sammee." The Captain mentioned.

"So, what, we keep her locked away?" Ms. Romanoff responded.

"And what happens when she has another psychotic break? Are we just going to keep violating her mind like that?" Thor asked.

"Do it." Stark interrupted. Everyone turned to look at him. He was staring down, lost in his mind. Tapping his chin with the back of his thumb while his upper body twisted back and forth slightly, self-comforting. "Do it." He said again and looked up at the Ancient One.

"Tony, this is a decision we all have to agree on." The Captain reminded him.

"You guys weren't there. You saw the aftermath, but not..." he trailed off before shaking his head. "Do it." He repeated again.

"Dr. Raynor, what do you think?" Vision asked, finally calling attention to himself.

"I think that she's not only a danger to herself, but society like she is right now." The doctor replied dryly. I thought back to all the blood on the floor in our bathroom, Sammee being in a cell, the bandage over her arm...

"Do it." I spoke up. I refused to lose her. If this was what guaranteed that she wouldn't hurt like that anymore, then so be it. I'd do anything. Even agree with Stark.

"Loki..." Thor looked at me with a frown. "I thought you would have refused this offer."

"Why?" I asked. "If this ensures that she never tries to take her own life again, then do it."

"Every one of you has had their mind messed with in some way." Agent Hill commented as she gestured to all of the Avengers. "Could you do that to Sammee?"

"Who's side are you on?" Stark asked her.

"Hey, I'm just sayin." Agent Hill lifted her hand up in surrender. "If you can't answer that then this won't work."

"She's right." The Ancient One chimed in.

"If we all agree to this, no one can mention the pregnancy or the baby. You'll also need to have an explanation for the surgery scars and her cut arm. And for the four days of time she lost." Dr. Raynor told us.

"Simple. She was injured in the fight. She had internal bleeding that the doctors fixed laparoscopically. Her arm was also cut in the battle and patched up by her sealant spray before the doctors patched her up." Stark said casually. "For the missing time, we tell her that she crashed from using too much energy and slept for four days."

Everyone stared at Stark in shock, including me. It was impressive that he thought of that so quickly.

"That could work." Ms. Romanoff nodded in thought. "Ok, I'm in."

"Me too." Wanda smiled at me softly. She was trying to bring me some comfort, and I appreciated it, but I also didn't want it at the moment. I wanted solutions, not comfort.

Pietro, Agent Hill, Fury, and Vision agreed with Wanda, but Thor and Steve were still debating. Steve didn't want to lie to Sammee and Thor thought that messing with her mind could do more harm.

"Thor, we're not controlling her, or making her see visions. We are just keeping her, and everyone else, alive." Ms. Romanoff explained. Thor still looked skeptical, but the Captain sighed in defeat.

"Alright, let's try it." Rogers agreed. Everyone turned to Thor next.

"Thor?" Ms. Romanoff asked expectantly. Thor turned to her with a conflicted look.

"How can we just make her forget about her child?" Thor asked.

"Because it wasn't a child, yet." I told him. The jealousy I felt over a nonexistent child was bordering insanity. "She needs to live, and if this does that, then you need to agree." I said sternly. "Or go back to Asgard and away from Sammee." I added. Thor bit the inside of his cheek and looked to Dr. Raynor.

"And what do you think is best for Sammee, Dr. Raynor?" Thor asked her. Dr. Raynor took a deep breath and thought for a moment.

"At this point, she is a danger. Not just for herself, but for the public, too. Normally we would just check her into a facility for however long she needs it, but Sammee obliterated Sokovia without even trying. There is no way we can have her around others in the state she's in. It's too dangerous. So... I think it's a good idea, for both Sammee and the public, to forget about the pregnancy."

"Then it's settled." Stark clapped his hands loudly. "Sammee needs to forget."

Thor glanced around the room before nodding in agreement. When he did, I felt both relieved and heartbroken. Two conflicting emotions that confused me to no end.

"Now that we are all in agreement, let's start." The Ancient One told us before opening a portal with orange magic. Through the portal was Sammee's dark room that contained her cell. "It shouldn't take too long. Everyone will need to act like everything is normal. I'll need to be alone with her for the spell and I'll make it so she doesn't wake until morning tomorrow." She said before turning to me. "She'll be alright. Just continue to love her."
