《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Sammee

Loki's POV

The walls of this room were black, along with the ceiling and floors. The only light in the room came from a large translucent cube in the middle of the large space. Inside the cube was a simple bed, sink, toilet, and Sammee.

She sat with her back to us, pressed against the glass wall of the cell. If she knew we were here, she didn't show any indication. Her hair was in knots and she wore a nightgown. I couldn't see her face and I was almost scared to. I didn't want what Thor said to be true. Just the thought made me sick.

There were stairs descending to the floor of the room and I took them slowly, one at a time. The glass walls of the cubed cage shimmered with some type of spell. It was barely noticeable, but powerful.

As I reached the last stair, I felt my nerves become more apparent. I took a deep breath and stood tall, folding my hands behind me.

"Hello, Kitten."

Sammee jumped at my words and turned quickly. My breath caught when I fully saw her. It was much different from how my breath caught when I normally looked at her. She looked like she hadn't slept in days. Sammee looked at me with wide eyes as she scrambled to get to her feet.

"Loki, thank god!" She sighed in relief. "You scared the shit outta me." She laughed as tears fell down her cheeks. I knew she was talking about how I almost died, not that I just startled her. I wanted to hold her so badly.

"I'm so sorry, Dearheart." I told her. I was trying to keep my expression neutral with Thor watching, but I couldn't help but smile softly at her.

"Now that you're here, you can let me out, right?" Sammee asked hopefully. "I didn't mean to hurt anybody, I swear." She promised.

"Sammee, you know that's not why you're in here." Thor intervened. Sammee's gaze turned hard as she looked at Thor. If looks could kill, he'd be dead, multiple times over.

"I failed to see where I asked you." Sammee all but growled at him. I furrowed my brows in concern. She never spoke to Thor like that.

"Sammee, I need you to be honest with me, alright?" I asked softly, trying to get her attention back on me. It worked and her eyes softened when they locked on mine.

"Of course." She told me and waited for me to speak again. I looked down, I couldn't look directly at her when I asked this question.

"Were you pregnant?" I asked softly. Sammee was quiet for a moment and I looked up at her. She was looking at me, but she wasn't looking 'at' me. She was spaced out. After another second, she blinked out of her trance.

"I-Uh-I was...yes." She told me. "But, Loki, I promise- I promise, I will get her back." She said in a rush. "I just need you to let me out." She placed her hand against the glass and my eyes couldn't help but go to the cast-like bandage on her arm. I inhaled sharply as I looked at it. My anger at everything threatening to boil over. My hands shook at my sides and I clenched them into fists. How could she do that to herself...

"No." I told her. Her face fell and it broke my heart to see her in such mental anguish, but I had to protect her, even from herself.

"Is it- did you... did you not want the baby?" She asked me with wide eyes. "Or, did you not want a baby with me?"

I almost thought I didn't hear her correctly. What gave her the idea that I didn't want children with her? We'd only ever mentioned kids once, and she told me that she didn't want kids.

"Wha- no, that's not-" I sighed and collected myself for a second. "I will not let you out to kill yourself." I told her firmly.

"I'm not killing myself." Sammee said quickly. "I'm going back to my universe and shifting back here so I can do things right. You won't even know I'm gone."

"And what happens if it doesn't work!" I raised my voice at her. I hated raising my voice at her. "Do you expect me to spend the next four thousand years without you?" I questioned. How could she expect that of me? She looked at me with confused shock and opened her mouth to talk, but no words came out. "Say something." I demanded.

"My lifespan is only about a hundred years. You would have always spent four thousand years without me." She told me. I grew more and more frustrated with her. There were ways to work around that issue. "But our daughter will have a longer lifespan, so you won't be."

"We can have other children." I told her simply and tried to regain my composure. Sammee's face turned into an expression of hurt and disgust.

"I don't want another child." She seethed through her clenched teeth. Her next words were emphasized to show just how angry she was with me. "I want my child!"

"You never had a child." I told her. I knew the words would hurt her, but I said them anyway.

"Loki." Thor said hesitantly. He was warning me to watch my words. I ignored him.

"You had a parasite that your body rightfully got rid of."

"Loki!" Thor yelled and grabbed my shoulder, pulling me back.

I stumbled, but never took my eyes off Sammee. Her expression was a mixture of grief and horror. My stomach flipped and I instantly regretted it, but that just pissed me off more. She had me so wrapped around her finger that I felt guilty for being pissed. I was allowed to be pissed!

"What the fuck are you doing?" Thor hissed and continued to pull me away. He shoved me in front of him and pushed me toward the stairs. I let him push me up the stairs and out of the room, just to have an excuse to get away from the look in her eyes.

"She's delusional! I'm just telling her the truth." I argued and stumbled forward when Thor shoved me out the door. He shut it behind him before turning on me.

"She is fragile!" Thor scolded. "You of all people should be making this easier on her, not harder."

"I should make her delusion, of hitting the reset button, easier?" I challenged.

"You know what I meant." Thor argued.

"Obviously not." I shot back. I wanted a fight. I just needed him to take the bait. I needed to hit something and needed to be hit as well. Instead of play into what I wanted, Thor sighed. He looked completely defeated.

"Loki, this has been Hel to deal with since you've gotten hurt. Don't come in and make things worse." Thor said tiredly and rubbed at his eyes.

"Worse?" I asked. "Worse? Take a look, Thor, how can it?" I snarled at him and gestured back toward the door. "She tried to-" I couldn't say it. I choked on my words. "She- h-how can it get worse?" I questioned and shook my head. "This never would have happened if I was with her. I would have never let it get this bad. She should be ashamed to call you her friends." I told him. Thor wasn't shocked to see me lashing out. He probably expected it.

"Well, brother, I can tell that you're not going to make things easier." Thor said and propped his hands on his waist.

"My job isn't to make things easier for you." I huffed and turned for the elevator. "I'm going to shower. Don't bother me unless it's urgent. And don't let Sammee hurt herself more than she already has in my absence." I told Thor with a wave of my hand and headed toward the elevators. "Don't give me more of a reason to kill you. I do hate making mother cry."
