"Sister!" Thor boomed as he kicked in the labs door. I didn't look at him. I just continued to watch Loki's chest move with each breath he took. "How is he?" I heard shuffling behind me when I didn't respond.

"Thor..." a voice warned.

I was aware enough to recognize Steve's voice. But, beyond that, I could feel a buzzing energy. I somehow knew that it wasn't just Thor and Steve that entered the room. I could feel them... like, if I pushed hard enough, I could get inside their heads.

"She's not listening." Vision said. "She's enthralled the doctor to make sure Loki stays alive."

"Enthralled?" Steve asked. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, Dr. Cho has no choice in the matter."

"How? Sammee doesn't have that power." Nat said. They were talking about me like I wasn't in the room, six feet from them.

"It appears she does." Vision told her. "My guess is that her connection to the Mind Stone has given her certain abilities."

"Why couldn't she do this before?" Steve asked.

"I could not tell you." Vision said, not knowing the answer. "All I know is that the Stone wants to be close to her." He continued. "I felt a connection to her as soon as I was created, but it wasn't as strong as it is now. I can not explain it." Vision told them.

"Is Loki going to be alright?" Thor asked, not caring about the Stone.

"Yes, he gets stronger with every breath." Vision said.

"And Helen?" Tony asked.

"Dr. Cho should be fine as long as Sammee releases her mind."

"Sister?" Thor asked from behind me. "Sammee?" He asked gently and placed a hand onto my shoulder.

My mind wasn't right. As soon as he touched me, I jumped up. I turned quickly while pulling a gun and aimed it toward him. For some reason, my brain saw him as a threat. I was breathing heavily as I looked down the barrel of my gun and stared at Thor. He didn't react.

"...Sister." Thor muttered sadly and raised his hand to the gun.

His hand rested on top of the barrel, encouraging me to lower it, and I did. As soon as my mind caught up, a sob burst from my chest and I dropped the gun to the floor. I practically jumped into Thor's arms as I cried heavy, sorrow filled tears.

Thor's arms went around me and he kissed the top of my head. The others were dead silent while I cried.

"I'm sorry." I cried. "I'm so sorry. It's my fault."

"This was not your fault, little sister." Thor told me and held me tighter. He misunderstood what I was apologizing for. "He will survive this." He said. "Loki's been through much worse."

"I can't lose them both, Thor." I mumbled quietly through my sobs.

"What are you talking about?" Thor asked. "Who did you lose?" He questioned.

I couldn't answer, because if I said it out loud it became real. I had just come to terms with having a child. I could finally see life beyond Thanos and what I knew. And then it was ripped from me.

"What is she talking about?" Thor turned his head to ask Vision as I tried to hide from reality.

"Ms. Sammee no longer carries life." Vision said.

"No longer- what?" Thor asked.

"Oh, my god..." Natasha mumbled as she figured it out.

"I don't understand." Thor shook his head and looked back down at me. "What does that mean?" He asked and glanced at the others. No one answered him.

"I believe," Vision started. "You call it a miscarriage."

"She was pregnant?" Tony asked and huffed a curse.

"Sammee?" Thor asked and tried to pull away, but I tried to keep myself buried in his chest. "What is he talking about?" He questioned as his breathing got faster. "Sammee?" Thor demanded and grabbed my shoulders to push me away.

I looked up into Thor's eyes slowly to see fear and sadness. I opened my mouth to say something, but no sound came out.

"Were you with child?" He asked as his eyes began to water.

I couldn't answer, even though I wanted him to know everything. So, instead, I closed my eyes and turned my head away from him. I was ashamed... I did this. I killed my child.

"You-" Thor cut himself off with a sharp intake of breath. Tears finally falling from his eyes as he let go of my shoulders and stumbled a step backwards.

"Thor..." Natasha said gently and pulled him back from me.

She took his place in front of me and put her arms around me. I clung to her, desperately.

"I am so sorry." Nat told me quietly.

"I killed my child..." I whispered and gasped in air. "Natasha, I killed-" I sobbed softly.

"Shh..." she sighed sadly and ran her hand over my hair. "You didn't do this."

"It hurts, Natasha." I cried. The pain in my abdomen and lower back was the worst pain I had ever felt. Not because of the actual 'pain', but because of the emotional and mental pain that came with it.

"I know, baby, I know." Nat cooed. "It will."

"She needs to be seen by a physician." Vision told her.

"Not now." I begged Nat. "Please, not now. I can't leave him, I can't-" I pulled back and shook my head. "I can't-"

"Hey, hey," Natasha interrupted. "Loki's not going anywhere. You heard Vision, he's getting stronger. He'll make it." She assured me. "But, how do you think he'll feel when he finds out you neglected yourself while he was out?"

She was right, and I knew she was right, but I couldn't fathom leaving Loki's side. I shook my head and started to protest again, but Nat just pulled me back into a hug and looked over her shoulder at the others.

"We'll all stay here with him, Sammee." Steve told me. "He won't wake up alone."

"Please." I begged through my tears. "Please, don't make me leave him."

"Don't worry, kid." Tony spoke up. "We won't make you leave him."

"Tony, she needs a doctor." Steve mumbled softly to him.

"And she'll get one." Tony said. "This equipment is mobile. I'll call the hospital and get everything ready for us. She doesn't have to leave Loki's side." Tony explained. "But, you'll have to release Helen from whatever trance you put her in." He told me. I sniffled and pulled away from Nat to look at Dr. Cho.

"I don't know how." I told him. "I don't even know what I did."

"Wanda, you're power is similar. Can you help her?" Steve asked. Wanda and Pietro had been quietly watching everything happen.

"I can try..." Wanda said and stepped forward. Nat moved to hug my side for support as Wanda stood in front of me. "Close your eyes." Wanda told me. I bit my lip and did what she said. "Do you feel anything?"

"Cold..." I told her before opening my eyes and looking at Loki. "I still feel cold."

"Push passed that." Wanda said. "Passed the cold, what do you feel?"

I looked back to her and took a deep breath before closing my eyes again. I tried to push passed the cold, empty feeling, but it was hard. It took a lot of focus to feel anything else.

After a minute, or two of me focusing, I felt the same strange consciousness I felt when they walked into the room. I felt like I could almost see every thought they'd ever had. I just had to push hard enough.

"I can feel you." I told Wanda. "All of you. It's like someone's talking in a different room. I can't make out the noise, but I feel like I can break through the wall, if I wanted to."

"Good," Wanda praised. "That's good. Now focus that on Dr.Cho."

I focused on Dr.Cho, but the feeling was so strange. Her mind was open to me, the wall already broken, but she was... quiet. There was only one thought going through her head. 'Keep Loki alive.'

"It's like she's on a loop..." I said.

"So, wake her up." Wanda told me. "Stop the loop."

"How?" I asked.

"You forced your will on her. You need to pull it back to release her."

I tried, I really tried, but I couldn't figure out how to release her. I didn't even know what I did in the first place.

"I can't do it." I sniffled and wiped the frustrated tears from my face.

"Yes, you can." Natasha encouraged. "Just take a deep breath and try again." She said and squeezed my shoulders.

"You just need to figure out how you got in and retrace your steps." Wanda told me.

"I just did! I don't know how!" I half yelled, half cried.

"You can do this." Steve said and stepped forward. "I've seen you figure out impossible situations. This is just one more."

Steve and I looked at each other, his eyes gentle and caring. He believed in me. I looked down and sighed before closing my eyes and trying again. All I had to do was retrace my steps. Maybe I could just put her barrier back up.

I tried to visualize it. Tried to visualize anything, but I couldn't, not in the state I was in, at least.

"I can't." I cried. "I'm sorry, I can't."

Wanda looked over her shoulder at the others, wondering what to do, but no one had an answer.

"Ok." Natasha said, taking initiative. "That's ok. We'll figure it out later. Don't worry about it." She soothed.

"We really need-"

"We will deal with it later." Nat snapped at Tony before he could finish his sentence.

"No, you're right." Tony nodded. "We'll figure it out." He sighed.

"Vision," Steve called out. "Since the Stone gave Sammee this power, can the Stone counteract it?" He asked.

"No." Vision responded. "The Stone isn't just connected to Sammee, it wants to listen to her. As a result, the Stone can neither affect Sammee, nor counter her power."

"Like Natasha said," Steve sighed heavily. "We'll deal with it later." He told us. "Let's just focus on making sure you're going to be ok."
