《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》The Battle Of Ultron: Part 3

Tony, Vision, Thor, Pietro, and I stood around the core of Ultron's device to defend it as the others caught up. Steve, Clint, and Wanda were slower since they couldn't fly, or teleport to get here.
If Ultron got to the core, the giant meteor he made of Sokovia came crashing down on earth. We had to protect it at all cost. In seconds, we were swarmed by Ultron's bots coming for the core.
I teleported from bot to bot while weaving and ducking under the other Avengers and their attacks, but it was just the first wave in this strange version of COD: Zombies. And everybody knew, the second wave was much harder.
"Romanoff, you and Banner better not be playing 'hide the Zucchini." Tony told them.
"Relax, shellhead. Not all of us can fly." Nat scolded.
Steve, Clint, and Wanda finally got to the Church and, a few seconds later, Natasha joined us, with Hulk right behind.
"What's the drill?" Nat asked as Vision and Thor shot down the beginning of the next wave.
"This is the drill." Tony pointed at the core. "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose." Tony said. Hulk dropped down just in time and ripped apart the nearest bots he could get a hold of.
With everyone surrounding the core to protect it, Thor shouted at Ultron, taunting him.
"Is that the best you can do?" Thor yelled. Ultron floated in the sky with the confidence of a being who had already won. He lifted his hand and summoned the rest of his mindless army to him. There had to still be over a hundred bots.
"You had to ask." Steve sarcastically said to Thor as he looked at the growing army.
"This is the best I can do." Ultron told us. "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me." He said. "How can you possibly hope to stop me?" Ultron asked.

"Well," Tony started and looked back and forth at all of us. "Like the old man said... together."
As soon as the words were out of Tony's mouth, Hulk roared. It was like his roar was the the trigger, triggering all of Ultron's bots to start for us. They were climbing the broken down Church's walls and flying overhead. We weren't just surrounded, we were grossly outnumbered, but we weren't out-skilled.
Each of us took a section and attacked the bots in our designated area. Lightning and blasts of concentrated energy were everywhere. It became a little hard to see and breathe with all of the smoke in the air.
I turned to the core and threw a dagger at a bot that got way too close. When another one almost slipped passed Wanda, I knew I needed to put up a barrier. I glanced at my barely there energy level and took a deep breath.
"Vision," I called out. "Don't pass the barrier." I told him. I didn't know what would happen if he did since he was technically an android.
I focused hard and soon felt the crushing weight back on my chest as the barrier went up around the core. I couldn't fight and focus on the barrier at the same time, so I had to rely on the others to protect me.
"Energy levels: Critical." L.I.V. told me as my energy bar flashed red. "You need to drop the barrier."
"Just... a bit longer." I gasped out.
I had to wait until Tony, Thor, and Vision cornered Ultron. It shouldn't take long, but it was getting harder and harder to breathe and I started worrying about the stress on my body. A body that I was now sharing. The barrier started to flicker and my head started to pound.

"Sammee, just hold on." Steve encouraged.
"I...can't." I whimpered and tried to hold it, but it was so hard.
"Ok, now!" Steve yelled. "Drop it now!"
I dropped the barrier and immediately crumbled to the floor. I gasped in air as I filled my lungs. The pressure in my head and chest dissipated with every deep breath I took.
"Are you alright?" Wanda asked and knelt down beside me. She laid a gentle hand on my shoulder to get me to roll onto my back.
"I'm ok." I nodded and continued to breathe deeply. "I'm good." I told her and tried to sit up. With Wandas help, I was able to sit up fully.
"Can you stand?" Wanda asked and placed a hand on my back.
"Ya," I nodded again. "Ya, sure, just give me a minute." I said.
"They'll try to leave the city." Thor announced as Ultron's final few bots tried to flee. His main suit was damaged, but not entirely destroyed, yet.
"We can't let them, not even one. Rhodey." Tony called out.
"I'm on it." Rhodey responded.
"We gotta move out." Steve told us. "Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats. I'll sweep for stragglers. Be right behind you."
"What about the core?" Clint asked.
"We'll protect it." I told them and gestured to Wanda and me.
"No, I'll protect it." Wanda corrected. "It's my job. You are in no shape for another fight. You need to go with the others." She told me.
"Wanda-" I tried to push myself off of the floor, but barely had the strength. She caught me when I started to fall forward.
"You're going." She said finitely and looked behind me. "Pietro will take you." She nodded at her brother. "Get her to the boats." Wanda told him.
"I'm not going to leave you here." Pietro argued.
"Neither am I." I chimed in.
"I can handle this." Wanda said and threw a ball of energy at a bot trying to sneak up on us. "Come back for me when everyone else is off. Not before." She added. Pietro huffed and paced around us. "Do you understand?" Wanda asked him.
"You know, I'm twelve minutes older than you." Pietro teased.
"Take her." Wanda laughed and shook her head at her brother.
"I got it." He rolled his eyes sarcastically and made his way over to me.
As soon as Pietro picked me up, we were off. I shut my eyes tightly to try and avoid getting motion sick, but it was a lot smoother of a ride than running with Hulk was. We were back at the lifeboats in no time.
With Loki helping load everyone up, the little boy that got lost, in the movie, was safely in the carrier with his mother. I sighed with a smile when I saw that because it meant that the events that led to Pietro's death, never happened. Pietro would live.
