《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》The Battle Of Ultron: Part 2

I put up a reality barrier to shield the bystanders from any bullets or robots. With the training I'd been doing, I was able to make a pretty large barrier, but it still wasn't large enough. It also took a lot of energy to keep a barrier that large up for so long.

Soon, Thor joined Cap on the bridge and together they took down a lot of Ultron's bots. A gasoline truck even exploded when Thor threw one of Ultron's robots into it, alerting Ultron to just how much damage Thor was doing to his army.

"Thor, you're about to have incoming." I warned him. It prepared him just enough to brace for Ultron's attack, but not enough to stop it completely. Ultron still pulled him into the air and flew him toward the church to isolate him. It was a good thing Thor could hold his own. I didn't have to worry about him. I could focus on my fight.

I took out some throwing knives and took down two and a half bots. The half was because the blade didn't sever the wires all the way, so the bot was sparking and jerking as it tried to continue the fight. It didn't last long because Loki ripped it apart with his blades. He smirked at me before Fury's voice pulled my attention away.

"Nice, right?" Fury asked, talking about the helicarrier. "Pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She's dusty, but she'll do."

"Fury, you son of a bitch." Steve said with a small smile.

"Ooh! You kiss your mother with that mouth?" Fury teased.

"Let's start loading people up!" I told them before turning back to the problem at hand.

I had two throwing knives left. After that I would have to stick to up close and personal fighting. There wasn't enough time to pick up my blades between bots.

"Sammee, duck!" Loki yelled and threw one of his daggers toward me. I instantly dropped backwards to the ground. The blade speared through a robot that was behind me. I got back onto my feet and turned to quickly grab the blade and teleport to Loki.

"Hello, Love." I smiled and handed him back his dagger. He rolled his eyes playfully at me. I turned and faced the small army of bots starting to surround us. "Ready?" I asked.

"Of course." He teased as we both sprung into action.

Bot after bot went down. Loki and I moved together like flowing water. It wasn't until I saw red tendrils of energy tear apart a robot I was about to kill that I noticed Wanda and Pietro had come to help.

"Your energy levels are low." L.I.V. warned me. "You won't be able to keep the barrier up for much longer."

I sighed as I looked at my energy levels. The blue bar that showed how much energy I had was barley a quarter full. Luckily, there was a slight break where we were all able to catch our breath.

"The next waves gonna hit any minute." Cap warned. "What do you got, Stark?"

"Huh? Nothing great." Tony told him. "Maybe a way to blow up the city. That'll keep it from impacting the surface, if you guys can get clear."

"I asked for a solution, not an escape plan."

"There is no solution, Cap." I sighed. "We need to get everyone on that helicarrier and blow up the city." I told him. "The longer it takes, the bigger the impact could be, so hurry the fuck up, Fury." I said the last bit louder to get the message across.

"I do you a favor, and this is how you repay me?" Fury asked.

"I can't hold the barrier up anymore." I panted. "All of those civilians are about to be in the open. So, I need you to hurry!"

My chest was feeling more and more like I had a weight sitting on me. It got to the point where I felt like I couldn't breathe and had to drop the barrier. As soon as I did, I felt so much better, but now the people were exposed.

"I need everyone protecting the citizens. The barrier is down, I repeat, the barrier is down!" I yelled as I ran to the group of people waiting to evacuate. I didn't want to teleport and use up even more of my energy.

"Lifeboats are deployed." Fury told us. "You just have to get them on now."

"Oh, is that all?" Cap asked sarcastically. Pietro stood next to him and stared at the helicarrier in amazement.

"This is S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Pietro asked curiously and looked over at the helicarrier again.

"This is what S.H.I.E.L.D. is supposed to be." Cap told him as we all watched the lifeboats come our way. "Let's load em' up!" He said and turned to start helping people into the carriers.

"The next wave is coming." I told them and stood protectively in front of my group. Loki was at my side and touched my shoulder.

"Kitten, you need to rest. You're pushing yourself too hard." He said.

"I'm fine." I brushed off. "There's no time for rest. I can do this." I told him. He looked at me with worry in his eyes, but nodded and turned to face the threat.

Most of Ultron's bots went after the helicarrier. It wasn't long until they met their demise at the hands of a certain silver war machine.

"Yes!" I heard through the comms as Rhodey joined the fight. "Now, this is gonna be a good story."

I smiled at hearing Rhodey's voice.

"Yep," Tony answered him. "If you live to tell it."

"You think I can't hold my own?" Rhodey asked jokingly.

"We get through this, I'll hold your own." Tony responded.

"Can I get that in writing?" I asked.

"You had to make it weird." Rhodey sighed and ignored my comment.

I stood watch as the citizens loaded into the lifeboats. Almost all of the bots were going after the helicarrier, which was actually a good thing. The more Ultron focused his forces on the helicarrier, the more people could fill the lifeboats without fear of being shot.

"Thor?" I asked into the comms. "How are we with Ultron?"

"A little busy, at the moment." He choked out. Loki looked at me, wondering what to do. I signaled for him to stay put.

An explosion drew my attention back to the sky. One of the bots got to a thruster on one of the six carriers. The lifeboat started to fall until Tony caught it. Rhodey got the robot while Tony acted as the broken thruster and pushed the lifeboat to safety aboard the helicarrier.

"Thor," Tony called. "I got a plan."

"We're out of time." Thor responded. "They're coming for the core."

I looked at Loki and bit my lower lip. I was going to ask him to stay behind and make sure everyone got on the carrier safely. I think he knew cause he slowly shook his head.

"Rhodey, get the rest of the people on board that carrier." Tony said.

"On it!" Rhodey replied.

"Avengers, time to work for a living." Tony told us.

"Loki's going to help Rhodey." I quickly said. Loki didn't say anything, he just stared at me with an upset frown. "Please." I begged Loki. "You're the only one I fully trust to do this." I explained. "I need you to do this, so I can do that." I told him and gestured to the other Avengers with my head. Loki squeezed his eyes shut and grunted in frustration.

"Fine!" He huffed. "Fine." He said again, much calmer, but still very upset.

"Thank you, my prince." I smiled and kissed him quickly. "I love you, be safe." I told him and teleported over to the church to start the final battle.
