《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Smaller Agents

I fell asleep almost as soon as the jet started up. We had taken an L and the team was hit pretty hard, especially Bruce. The damage wasn't as bad as it could be, but he still hurt a lot of people.

I woke up to the digitalized voice of Agent Maria Hill coming through the speaker of the jet.

"Are you guys ok?" She asked first.

"We'll have to get back to you on that." Tony sighed. I groaned and shifted in my spot. I was laying over the seats with my head in Loki's lap. When Loki heard me stir, he ran is fingers through my hair, over and over again, to soothe me.

"The news is loving you guys." Agent Hill said sarcastically. "Nobody else is. Well, except Sammee, that is." She told us. "Tiny girl stands up to huge angry beast, the news is making her out to be the frickin Messiah."

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." I grumbled. "I'm not dealing with that shit again."

"Shh..." Loki cooed as he continued stroking my hair.

"There's been no official call for Banner's arrest, but it's in the air." Hill continued.

"The Stark Relief Foundation?" Tony asked.

"Already on the scene." She replied. "How's the team?" Agent Hill asked again.

"Everyone's..." Tony struggled to find the correct words for what we were all feeling. "We took a hit. We'll shake it off." He told her.

"Well, for now, I'd stay in stealth mode and stay away from here." She said.

"So, run and hide." Tony summarized.

"Until we can find Ultron, I don't have a lot else to offer."

"Neither do we." Tony sighed and disconnected the link to Hill.

"You should get more sleep." Loki told me. I let out a breath before opening my eyes and looking up at Loki. He was reading a book, but I couldn't read the name from this angle.

"Am I wrong for letting these things happen?" I asked quietly. Loki looked down at me and closed his book.

"Do you think you are?" He asked. I glanced over to Bruce, who was sitting on the floor wrapped in a grey blanket. He was shuddering as he thought about what the world just saw of the Hulk.

"I hate hurting them." I turned back to Loki and said. "I hate it." I told him as I bit my lower lip to try and stop the tears from overflowing. I turned to hide my face against his stomach and I felt his hand move to cradle my head while the other went to stroke up and down my back.

"Don't tell me you're breaking, too, Skydive." Tony said in a defeated tone. He was trying to tease me, but the attitude just wasn't there. I quickly shook my head and sniffed.

"Not yet." I told him and wiped at my damp eyes. "Not yet." I repeated.

I fell back asleep about forty five minutes later. We couldn't go as fast as we normally did while we were in stealth mode, so the flight took a lot longer. We still had about an hour's flight to our safe house, which was really Clint's house. I never thought about how hard it was for him to take us there. He was taking a risk by bringing us to his family's home, especially since he still didn't trust Loki 100%. Clint had gotten better over the months, but I still saw his subtle glances and hesitancy toward Loki from time to time.

"We're almost there." Clint's voice called into the back, waking me up.

I jumped a bit when Clint spoke, but then my brain registered where I was and I yawned as I sat up.

"All weapons stay on the jet." Clint added. I looked down at my suit that was riddled with weapons, hidden and not, and sent a glare to Clint. "Sorry." He told me.

"No," I sighed. "Don't be. I get it."

"Get what?" Loki asked.

"You'll understand soon." I told him with a smile. I stood and looked down at all of my gear. "Can you get me some clothes?" I asked Loki.

"Of course, why do you-" Loki stopped when I started to unzip my suit.

His eyes followed my hand for a second before glancing around at everyone else. He stood and put his hand over mine to stop me.

"What are you doing?" He hissed.

"Changing out of my suit. It'll take too long to take out all the weapons and I don't really want to right now." I shrugged. Loki pinched the bridge of his nose and took a deep breath.

"Everyone face away from Sammee." He finally said.

"What?" Steve questioned.

"Do it!" Loki commanded. "She needs to change."

Steve didn't question it after that, he respectfully turned his back. Loki glanced around the jet to make sure no one was looking.

"If I see a single one of you looking, I will not hesitate to kill you." Loki added before letting my hand free to unzip my suit.

"You wouldn't." I said.

"Oh, I most certainly would." He told me as he conjured me up some clothes. I got out of my suit quickly and put on the clothes. They were a pair of grey sweats and my favorite crop top.

"You can turn around now." I let everyone know. "You should change into something a bit less intimidating as well." I told Loki. A green flash went over his body and he was in black slacks and a tucked in black button up. "Perfect." I smiled.

The jet landed a few minutes later. It was early enough that the sun was still coming out. There was an array of beautiful colors that painted the sky. I stepped off of the jet and inhaled a breath of fresh, country air. We landed behind some trees, so it was difficult to see the house from the jet.

Clint helped Nat off the quinjet and everyone followed as he led the way. We walked down a hill until we could see the beautiful two story white house and the small barn. Clint opened the white gate to the fence and let everyone in before continuing down the path and up the stairs of the house.

"What is this place?" Thor asked.

"Safe house." Tony suggested as he looked around.

"Let's hope." Clint turned back to tell them as he opened the front door. "Honey?" He called into the living room as we all filed in behind him. "I'm home."

A very pregnant woman came around the corner from the kitchen and looked at us. I already knew this was Laura, Clint's wife.

"Hi." Clint greeted and let go of Natasha. "Company. Sorry, didn't call ahead." He apologized to his wife as he walked up to her.

"Hey." She smiled and kissed him in greeting.

"This is an agent of some kind." Tony turned to Thor and said.

"Gentlemen, Sammee," Clint started to get our attention. "This is Laura." He introduced.

"I know all your names." She smiled and chuckled a bit.

Of course, I was having a full blown gay panic. It was probably because her actress was the reason for my gay tendencies in the first place, but we'll never know for sure.

A second of silence passed before tiny footsteps could be heard running down the stairs. I wondered for a moment if Loki and I could have a life like this with our child...

"Oh, incoming." Clint warned and bent down as a little blonde haired girl ran around the corner and straight for Clint. An older brown haired boy trailed behind her.

"Dad!" Lila, Clint's daughter, yelled as he picked her up.

"Hi, sweetheart!" He smiled and kissed her head. He balanced Lila on his hip as he turned and hugged Cooper, his son. "Hey, buddy!" He said and kissed his head as well. I couldn't help but smile uncontrollably at their reunion.

"Bet you didn't expect this, did ya?" I asked the guys.

"No, no, these are smaller agents." Tony mumbled.

"Did you bring Auntie Nat?" Lila's little voice asked when Clint finally put her down.

"Why don't you hug her and find out?" Nat said as she walked toward Lila and bent down to pick her up.

"Sorry for barging in on you." Steve told Laura after he processed the fact that Clint had a whole secret family.

"Ya, we would have called ahead, but we were too busy having no idea that you existed." Tony sarcastically said.

"Ya, well, Fury helped me set this up when I joined." Clint explained. "He kept it off S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files. I'd like to keep it that way."

"I already knew," I smiled happily as I leaned into Loki's side. "But, I know everything, so..." I chuckled with a shrug.

Once Lila saw me, her eyes sparkled. She nervously walked up and stopped in front of me.

"Uhm, excuse me?" She asked. "Are you actually an angel?"

I chuckled and kneeled down to her level.

"No," I told her. "That's just a silly name someone gave me." I told her. "Thank you for my birthday gift, by the way. I keep it next to my bed, so I can see it every day when I wake up and go to sleep."

Lila smiled so big I didn't think she could physically smile any larger.

"I made you a picture, too!" She excitedly said and grabbed my hand to pull me where she wanted me to go with her.

"Lila, honey, I'm sure Sammee's tired and wants to get cleaned up." Clint told her. The small child immediately deflated.

"No, it's ok." I assured him. "I'd love to see her drawings, if that's ok with you, that is." I added.

"Please, Daddy!" Lila begged and bounced up and down.

"Ok." Clint gave in with a sigh.

"Thank you!" Lila quickly got out as she pulled me toward the stairs.

"Lila, why don't you go upstairs.

I'll catch up in just a second." I told her.

"Ok." She said excitedly and ran up the stairs two at a time. I laughed as I watched her almost trip over herself to get to the top.

"Loki," I called and motioned for him to follow me outside.

"What is it?" He asked when we were on the porch.

"I need you to go with Thor." I told him. His face scrunched in confusion.

"What?" He asked.

"Thor needs to leave and find out what his vision Wanda gave him meant, I need you to go with him." I said.

"No." He told me and shook his head.

"I'm safe here and, I promise, I won't be in any danger until you get back." I explained. "But, you need to go with him."

There were multiple reasons why I wanted Loki to go with Thor. One was because I didn't want Thor going alone, and two was that Clint wasn't completely comfortable with Loki around his family. I didn't know how Laura felt about it, but I would assume she was a bit uneasy, too. Loki glanced down and balled his hands into fists.

"How long?" Loki gritted out.

"Not long." I assured him. "A little over a day." I told him and grabbed his hand. "Please, for me?"
