《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Pre-Klaw

While Tony got Klaw exact location, the rest of us left to get ready. We were going to meet on the launch deck in an hour. After I was done putting my suit on, I went to my lab to grab a few extra skin sealants just in case.

"That bad?"

I turned my head to see Steve leaning against the door frame of my lab. He was already in his Captain America suit. I looked down at the extra canisters in my hand.

"Just in case something goes wrong." I told him and clipped them to my belt.

"You expecting something to go wrong?" He asked lightheartedly. I chuckled and looked over at him.

"Always, Captain." I told him. He gave a breathless laugh and looked down. "Hey," I said to get his attention again. I had traded my smile for a more serious look. When Steve looked back up, I continued. "Why didn't you pick up Thor's hammer?" I asked. I had always been curious.

"I don't know what you mean." Steve said way to quickly. I sighed and gave him a look that told him I knew he was lying.

"The magic placed on Mjölnir let's anyone worthy of ruling Asgard to pick it up. You can't be half worthy, or almost worthy. You're either worthy, or you're not. There is no in between." I explained.

"So?" Steve said.

"So... the hammer shifted when you pulled at it. Which means, you realized you could pick it up and you stopped trying." I told him.

"I hate that you know everything." Steve sighed. "I... don't know" he finally said. "Just didn't feel right."

"You don't feel worthy." I figured out.

"Maybe not." He agreed. "You can lift it, though." Steve said with a small teasing smile. I rolled my eyes with an annoyed hum. "Do you not feel worthy?"

"I know I'm not worthy." I scoffed. "Do you know how many awful things I let happen? Things I could stop in a second?"

"That is not your decision to make." Steve interrupted. "It not fair for you to change our futures. That's our job, not yours."

"But I am changing it." I insisted. "Just being here is changing things. And then there's Loki, who's supposed to be on Asgard-"

"Did any of those changes effect the outcome? Or future events?" Steve asked.

"So far? No, but I'm planning on changing something significant." I told him. "Some things in the last few movies have to change." I stated.

"What outcome saves the most people?" Steve questioned I looked up at him from where I was staring at the floor. "Always go with that option."

"And, what if I can't do it?" I asked with tears starting to cloud my vision. Steve didn't respond, he just walked over to me and put his arms around me.

"We do the best we can with the information we have." He told me. "But, for what it's worth, we all believe in you."

At his words, I finally snapped and clung to his suit while I cried. Steve just held me to him and rubbed my back, letting me cry. After a minute, I calmed down and pulled back to wipe away my tears.

"Sorry I cried on you." I laughed out of embarrassment.

"Anytime." Steve told me with a genuine smile. "It's about time to go. Are you sure you're up for this?"

"Ya, I'm sure." I nodded.

"Good, I'll see you up there then." Steve said and patted me on the back one last time before leaving.

I took a moment to myself. Well, I guess it wasn't really by myself since I was never really alone anymore. I placed my hand on my lower stomach and took a deep breath.

"We can do this." I breathed out before teleporting to the launch deck.

"Skydive, good. Where's your boyfriend?" Tony asked me.

"I don't know. I went to the lab to get extra sealants." I told him. "Do you want me to get him?" I asked.

"Yes, we need to go before Ultron gets what he's after." Tony said.

"Ok." I told him and closed my eyes to focus on the pull of the ring. It felt like he was still in our room, so I teleported there. I found him looking at my bedside table with his back to me.

"Are you ready to go, my prince?" I asked.

"Last week," Loki started without turning toward me. "You mentioned that you were thinking about our future after all of this... avenging was over." He said and finally turned around. "What did you see for us?" He asked. I was speechless as I looked at him. My heart rate sped up as I looked down to his hands. He was holding the figurine that Lila, Clint's daughter, made me for my 'belated birthday'.

"I-" I stumbled as I tried to find the words. "I saw us happy." I simply told him.

"Happy..." Loki repeated and smiled down at the figurine. "Away from here?" He asked and turned to place the clay angel back down on the table.

"I don't know." I admitted. "We'll figure it out as we go, I guess." I said. Loki turned and slowly walked to me. His fingertips tilted my head up as he leaned down. When is lips barely touched mine, he stopped.

"I'll hold you to that." He whispered, his lips brushing mine.

"So will I." I told him before he kissed me. "We have to go now." I sighed and leaned my forehead against his. "I can't be worried about you in there. I need you to watch out for Wanda. Don't let her get to you."

"I know." He said and kissed me again. "I've been fighting for lifetimes, the only thing that can take me down is you."

"You can't be worried about me either." I told him. "No room for mistakes."

"I will always worry about you." Loki said. "Just promise me you won't end up in the hospital again, or dead."

"I promise if you do." I smiled and held up my pinky finger. Loki laughed and hooked his pinky with mine. "Good, now let's go."

Loki insisted I took the elevator with him. I agreed and, as soon as I stepped into the small space with him, Loki pinned me to the wall and kissed me. I gasped in surprise and he took that opportunity to explore my mouth like he'd never done it before right now. He grabbed my thighs and lifted me up. I moaned when he pressed against my core, my entire body coming to life.

Just as fast as it happened, it ended. Loki pulled away and set me down as the elevator doors opened. He walked out like nothing happened, but I was still pressed against the elevator wall wondering what the hell just happened.

"We don't have all day, Skydive! Get your deadly ass on the jet!" I heard Tony yell. I took a deep breath and shook off my stupor before teleporting to the base of the quinjet.

"Careful, Tony." I teased. "Cap might just have to put you in time out for that kind of language."

"Alright." Steve groaned.

"Good, we're all here. Strap in, I'm closing the hatch." Clint told us.

I strapped in next to Loki, who was still acting like nothing happened. Like he didn't just turn me on and then walk away.

"What the fuck was that?" I hissed to him.

"That," Loki started with a smirk, "is the only chaos I want you involved in."
