《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Before It Starts

I was spaced out. I knew I should be listening, but that thought was way in the back of my mind. My current thoughts were of figuring out when to get prenatal vitamins and supplements. I wasn't sure when I had to start those.

I felt something hit my forehead and blinked out of my trance.

"Earth to Skydive." Tony said and threw another crumpled piece of paper at me. I caught it easily and threw it back.

"Sorry." I apologized. "There's a lot going on in my brain." I sat up more in my chair to be more attentive. It was the morning of the HYDRA raid and I hadn't been listening to a thing that was being said in our logistics meeting. "What were you saying, Cap?" I asked.

"I was saying that this is the biggest base we have ever taken on. Everyone is going to have to be on their A-game." Steve repeated for me.

"It's not much bigger than the last one." I said. "There's just more men protecting it." I explained.

"And how would you know that?" Tony asked. "Are we into the next movie yet?"

I hesitated, but ended up nodding. Clint groaned while the others prepared mentally. They knew there was going to be a bigger fight in store.

"But that means that we have the correct base. Finally!" Thor said in his loud, excited voice.

"That's not necessarily what it means, Thor." Natasha told him.

"All it means is bad news for us." Clint finished for her.

"Is there anything you can tell us?" Steve asked me. I took a deep breath and readjusted in my seat.

"I'll help where I can, but only in the moment. I can't tell you anything that might sway the plan." I explained.

"Well, that's something. Thank you." Steve nodded towards me before going back to the plan.

At the end of the meeting, we decided that Clint, Nat, and Bruce (if a code green was called) would draw attention to the South-East side of the base while Steve, Thor, Loki, and I would draw attention to the South-West. That way, Tony would have an easier time going ahead and checking out the base before Steve and I broke off from the others and joined Tony.

We all went our separate ways to get ready after that. I teleported to the weapons room on my floor and walked to the back wall.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., can you open the back panel?" I asked as I took off my sweater.

"Right away, Ms. Sammee." J.A.R.V.I.S. replied.

A large panel on the back wall slid open and a panel behind it slid forward. The brand new suit, that was gifted to me in October, sat beautifully incased in glass. I pressed my hand to the case and the front side of the glass slid into the base to give me access to my suit.

I reached in and took it off it's model. I stared down at the material in my hands for a moment, just running my thumbs over the porous suit.

"Do you need any help?" Loki asked from behind me. I looked over my shoulder at him and gave a weak smile before shaking my head.

"I got it." I said and turned back to the suit.

I started to undress myself, leaving just my underwear and sports bra on. I slipped the purple suit up my legs and torso before guiding my arms in and zipping it up. I then started on all the belts and holsters. One by one, I laced them up.

"Don't think I can't feel how scared you are, Kitten." Loki mentioned from his spot leaning against the doorway.

"Of course I'm scared." I told him. "So many things can go wrong." I continued with what I was doing as I spoke to him. I reached down and unlocked the weapons drawer that housed my guns. I started choosing the ones I wanted and putting them into holsters. I rarely used guns, but they were good to have.

"Somehow, I think it's more than that." Loki commented and pushed off of the doorframe.

"We don't have time for this right now, Loki. I'm fine, ok?"

"You know I hate it when you lie to me." He scolded.

"And I hate when you push me about things I can't talk about!" I challenged. He was silent at my back and after a moment I sighed. My shoulders dropped from their tense position and I turned to face him. "I'm sorry." I apologized. "I'm just... I don't even know. I didn't mean to yell at you."

"It alright, Kitten." Loki said and grabbed my waist. "I know there's things you can't tell me yet. But, you don't have to do this." He told me. "We can leave. Let the others handle it."

I had never been so tempted before. Before seeing that little pink plus sign, I wouldn't had even given it a thought, but after...?

"No," I finally said. "We need to finish this if we're going to have any kind of a life together."

Loki slowly broke out into a smile and held me tighter.

"That's the first time I've heard you talk about our future together past what you already know." He told me.

"What?" I asked. "No, it's not." I protested. There must have been another time where I talked about our future together. Loki shook his head, still smiling ear to fucking ear.

"Maybe you've thought about it, but you've never talked about it." He said.

"I-" I cut myself off and thought. I guess I never really had a reason to think of the after. I was always too busy thinking about the known. "Oh..." I mumbled and looked down, feeling awful.

"It's perfectly alright, Dearheart. I know there's a lot we have to get past before then." Loki assured me.

"You have no idea." I chuckled a bit sadly. "You should get ready. We have to leave for Siberia in ten." I said and pushed away from him.

He continued smiling at me as a green light flashed down his body. After the light passed, Loki was in Asgardian leather. It was the same outfit he wore in Ragnarok.

My body was suddenly buzzing and my lips parted as I looked him over. Loki stepped closer to me and tilted my chin up with his fingers.

"If you keep looking at me like that we're going to be late." He told me seriously.

"Then you really need to go." I said softly as he leaned down and kissed my cheek.

"And if I want to be late?" He asked before kissing my lips softly. I leaned into him when he started to pull away.

"We can't be late..." I whispered while Loki kissed my jaw gently.

"Then tell me to stop." He challenged and started to pull down the zipper of my suit.

"Loki, seriously!" I tried, but he just scoffed at me.

"I told you all you needed to do." He said again and started down my neck.

"Loki..." I half protested, half begged. "Please..."

"Please, What?" He asked and came back to my lips as his hands finally touched my skin. "We can stay here." Loki murmured against my lips. That snapped me out of it. With all the mental strength I could muster, I pushed him away.

"Stop!" I told him. "Don't ever use sex to get me to do what you want. It's not a bargaining chip. You can't use it as manipulation." I huffed as I zipped my suit back up and turned my back to him.

"Kitten, I-"

"Don't 'kitten' me." I interrupted and started to holster more weapons.

"Sammee," he restarted. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that."

"Yes, you did!" I argued.

"I just don't want you hurt again." He sighed and touched my shoulder.

"You don't get to manipulate me like that." I scoffed and shrugged his hand off my shoulder.

"You're right, I'm sorry, but do you really need to be on this mission with them?" He asked.

"Yes." I said quickly before pausing what I was doing. "Just go wait upstairs for me. I'll see you on the jet." I said finitely. I didn't turn to look at him, but I could hear his defeated sigh.

"As you wish."
