"Well, you look happy." Natasha said as I walked into the kitchen. She was leaning over the kitchen island, eating a bowl of cereal and scrolling on her phone. "Good shower?" She smirked.

I was about to ask how she knew before I remembered my hair was still wet.

"Great, thanks for asking." I told her and walked to the fridge to get something to eat. "Hey, do we have any-"

"Bottom shelf behind the butter." Nat said without me finishing my sentence.

I looked at her weirdly, but then bent down to look where she said. Sure enough, the plain vanilla yogurt I was looking for was there.

"Ok, how'd you know?" I asked.

"Don't know whatcha mean." She said, playing dumb.

"Come on, how'd you know I wanted yogurt?" I asked again. She snorted and turned to look at me.

"Are you serious?" She questioned. "It's like the only thing you've been eating the past few weeks."

"That's not true." I said and pulled down a bowl from the cabinet before turning back to the fridge to get fruit. "Is it?" I asked after grabbing strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and bananas.

"Mmhmm." Nat hummed around a mouth full of cereal. "Mmm, shit, I got to go. Tony thinks he found another base and wants me to do some surveillance."

"Wait, already!" I asked with wide eyes before I cleared my throat. "I thought it would at least be a few more weeks. I wanted to get more training in." I covered for my panic.

"You've definitely been training enough." She told me and rinsed out her bowl before putting it in the dish washer. "And, like I said, we're not sure yet." Nat said. She grabbed her phone off the newly replaced counter top and turned to leave. "Later." She called back.

"Later." I responded as I added the now chopped up fruit to my bowl of yogurt.

I looked at the yogurt container and took a bite from my bowl. It was not actually that strange for me to be eating lots of yogurt with fruit. It was a common breakfast and dessert in my household growing up. It was kind of a tradition for us since it was my moms main craving when she was pregnant with me. It was the only thing she could fully stomach because of her morning sickness. She used to tell me to watch out for yogurt cravings because that could mean... I froze, mid-bite.

No, I thought. Not possible, Loki told me it wasn't possible.

I put my spoon back in my bowl and pushed it away from me, suddenly not in the mood for food.

My brain was spiraling. I was trying desperately to rule it out. My period hadn't been regular since before HYDRA, so I couldn't go off of that. It had been three months since I had my last period, and there was no way I'd be that far along without noticing.

I thought through all of the exhaustion, clumsiness, forgetfulness, and nausea of that past few weeks and couldn't rule anything out since it sounded exactly like what my mom went through when she was...

If Loki said it wasn't possible, then it wasn't possible... except it might be different since I wasn't from this universe. But, if that was true, why didn't this happen sooner? We've been having sex, very unprotected sex, for years now.

Would Loki have done this on purpose? He was eager for me to say yes to his marriage proposal... No, Loki would never take my choice away like that. He knew how I felt about kids.

I snapped out of it when I heard the elevator open. I closed my eyes for a moment to collect myself and stop panicking over something that I was probably thinking too much into.

Yogurt and fruit had always been one of my favorite things to eat. I was probably just eating it more because I missed my parents. I had been tired lately because of my training. Since I had been tired, I was more clumsy and forgetful, and the nausea was just because I was pushing my body too hard. That was all, nothing more.

"Are you ok, Sammee?"

I opened my eyes to see Steve staring at me. I quickly smiled and tried to look relaxed.

"Oh, ya." I told him. "Just thinking."

"Anything I can help with?" Steve asked as he walked over to the fridge to grab a drink.

"No, it's fine-" I said , but then reconsidered. "Well, actually, yes." I told him. Steve closed the fridge and turned to lean against it as he opened and sipped his water. "It's kind of a secret." I said and smiled shyly. "I need to go to the store for something. A small present for a certain, Uhm, someone." I tried to make it sound like I was getting something for Loki, so Steve wouldn't ask, or offer to get it himself. "I'll just be gone for a few minutes. Just need someone to cover for me."

"I'm not very good at lying." Steve shook his head.

"Oh, I know. And I'd never ask you to do that, don't worry. I just need you to keep Loki occupied while I'm out. No lying, promise." I assured him. He looked uncomfortable for a minute so I added my best puppy dog eyes. "Please?" I asked.

"Ok." Steve gave in with a huff.

"Yes! Thank you!" I jumped up and put a cover over my bowl to put back into the fridge. "Maybe ask him and Thor to train together. We might have to leave on another base crash soon. Plus, those two never waste a chance to beat the hell out of the other."

"Ya," Steve sighed. "I'll do that, but hurry back. I don't know how long I can keep him occupied."

"Will do!" I told him. "Thanks!" I said before teleporting to my closet to get a jacket and a pair of sunglasses to hide my face. I realized that my phone and wallet were still on my bedside table and cursed under my breath. I didn't know where Loki was and I didn't want to alert him that anything was wrong, so I cracked the door to my closet open and peaked out. Once I was able to see my phone and wallet, I teleported them to my hands and stuffed them in my pocket.

I then closed the closet door and teleported to the ground floor. I made sure my hood and glasses were up before teleporting across the street to avoid the reporters that constantly swarmed the building.

For the most part, if I kept my head down, most people minded their business. I still needed to be careful though. Luckily, HYDRA taught me how to blend in with a crowd, how to be invisible. It definitely helped in situations like this.

I got to the nearest pharmacy as fast as possible and made my way inside. A bell rang as the door opened and shut behind me. A young woman behind the counter greeted me almost immediately.

"Hello, welcome in. Let me know if you need help finding anything." She called to me as she rung up an old mans things.

"I will, thank you." I told her with a wave, but I kept my head turned just in case.

I walked the isles until I found the one I needed, but as soon as I saw the various pink colored boxes, my heart sunk into my stomach.

'Don't get ahead of yourself!' I reminded myself before taking a deep breath and grabbing the box labeled 'pregnancy test'.
