《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Second Skin

Three days later I had finally finished my sealant. I separated the fluid into two fluids that, when mixed, created the sealant. After it was mixed, the sealant had a three hour shelf life, so I had to keep the fluids separated until then. The mechanism I created to hold the sealant automatically mixed the fluids together when needed. After it was mixed, I could spray the sealant on a wound to stop it from bleeding.

When I was finally done, I went to find Loki and tell him the good news. I saw him in our room last, but he wasn't there when I checked. I then teleported and checked the library. No luck.

I huffed, annoyed that I couldn't find him, before remembering that, if I concentrated on his ring, I could always find him. I closed my eyes and focused on the pull I felt for the ring. When I felt it strong enough, I teleported to where it was.

Teleporting without knowing where I was teleporting to was a mistake. Loki was in the kitchen making tea when I teleported to him. I teleported too close to the marble counter top of the island and just caught my arm.

The marble split with a loud crack and I was thrown into the cabinets across from the island as the molecules from my arm and the marble repealed each other. I hit the side of my head hard enough to cut it, but not hard enough to cause a concussion. I hissed through my teeth at the pain in my arm. I could immediately feel it start to bleed from the tear in my skin.

"Fuck..." I hissed. Loki was crouched in front of me not even a second later.

"What the fuck happened?" He asked sternly and reached for my arm. I winced as he touched it, but let him look.

"I fucked up my teleportation." I sighed. "I was trying to find you and teleported to where I felt the rings pull from." I explained. "I wasn't thinking."

Loki looked around before grabbing a kitchen towel and pressing it to my bloody arm.

"Why didn't you just ask J.A.R.V.I.S.?" Loki questioned. I frowned and thought for a moment.

"I have no clue." I told him and scolded myself in my head. "I'm sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" Loki asked. "You're the one bleeding." He said as he lifted the hand towel to look at my arm again. My eyes lit up when he said the word 'bleeding'.

"Oh, this is perfect!" I said excitedly and sat up more. I dug into my back pocket to take out the small cylinder that carried the sealant.

"I fail to see how this is a good thing." Loki grumbled and pressed the towel back down on my arm, causing me to wince.

"Because," I said and held up the silver metal cylinder. "I finished the sealant!" I told him. I cracked the seal on the tube to mix the two fluids together and gave it three seconds to activate. "Move the towel." I instructed. Loki sighed through his teeth, but moved the towel from my arm.

I held the small cylinder three inches away from the wound before spraying the sealant over it. The bleeding immediately stopped as a clear film patched the wound.

"Now I get to document how fast it heals. It should heal at least twice as fast as this wound would if I didn't have the sealant." I said.

"Or," Loki started, "I could just heal you now." He told me, but I shook my head.

"Nope, for science!" I announced loudly. Loki rolled his eyes at me with a smile before looking at the side of my head.

"Will you at least let me heal this one?" He asked and tilted my chin to get a better look.

"Oh, I forgot about that one." I said and reached up to touch the small cut. "As long as you leave the cut on my arm." I told him.

"Deal." He agreed and covered the cut with his hand.

Warmth filled me as I felt his magic. When he was finished, he leaned down to kiss me. I smiled into the kiss and hummed my approval before we were rudely interrupted.

"What the hell happened?" Tony asked as he came around the corner. Loki pulled back from me which caused me to pout a bit.

"Sammee accidentally teleported into the island." Loki explained.

"Into the-" he cut himself off when he looked past Loki to me. "I swear I'm going to have to set you up a whole hospital wing." He grumbled.

"I'm fine." I told him and stood up. Loki helped me, just in case. "I'm all patched up." I said proudly and held up my little canister. Tony's eyes widened on it.

"You finished it?" He asked and came over to look at the cylinder.

"Yep!" I told him and showed him my arm. He turned my arm before running his finger over the clear film. I winced, but let him inspect it.

"A spray on second skin." He said. "This will definitely be useful." He told me. "And the canister is small enough that I can add it to my suit."

"I know, that's why I made it compact." I said with a proud smile. He dropped my arm and turned the metal cylinder over in his hand.

"Good going, Skydive." He told me with a nod of approval as he looked at the canister. "How long do they last?"

"As long as you don't crack the seal and mix the two liquids together, they last five years. But, if you already cracked the seal and mixed it, the sealant lasts three hours." I explained.

"Seems like you'd lose a lot of sealant that way." Tony commented.

"It's easy to make more." I told him.

"Why don't you add a dispenser so you can program how much sealant you need and it won't waste half the container?" Tony asked. I stopped and furrowed my brows.

"Why didn't I think of that?" I scolded myself again as I looked down at the floor.

"You were probably just too excited about finally getting the formula right." Loki said encouragingly and glared at Tony before putting his arm around my waist. "I'm sure you would have thought of it eventually."

"It's such a simple fix. To have a dispenser like the one in my medication bracelet." I grumbled and looked down at the bracelet Bruce gave me.

"It's not that big of a deal, Kitten." Loki soothed.

"Ya, I'm sure you're just tired." Tony said. "You've been working on this for weeks with barely any sleep." He told me. "And don't think I didn't find out about you ditching Dr. Raynor the other day."

I rolled my eyes at the mention of Dr. Raynor. I guess you could say that I was still upset at her. I understood that it was her job to push, but it didn't mean I had to like it. Hopefully, I calmed down before the next session.

"Don't worry about it, Skydive. I'll work on the dispenser. You just get some rest." Tony said and turned to walk away, canister in hand.

"No," I sighed. "I should help you." I told him and started to follow.

"I don't need your help. It's a simple tweak. I could do it in my sleep." Tony said over his shoulder. "And, J.A.R.V.I.S ., get someone to come and fix the countertop."

"Right away, Sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. replied.

I stopped following and watched him walk away as I frowned.

"Come on." Loki told me and grabbed my hand to pull me to him. "Let's grab dinner to go and have a night in." Loki suggested.

"Is it really that late?" I asked and looked at the microwave clock. It read eight-fifteen PM.

"I was just about to come get you anyway. You haven't eaten since breakfast." Loki said and kissed my forehead.

"Ok," I nodded. "Dinner sounds nice."
