《As You Wish : Loki Fanfic》Idiots

The two idiots were in the large room where the nurses station was. Steve was trying to deescalate the situation, but Bucky and Loki were about at each other's throats. I watched from one of the side corridors for a moment until Bucky pointed at Loki and took a close step toward him. I saw Loki raise one of his hands and before he could reach out to grab Bucky, I teleported between them.

I grabbed Bucky's outstretched arm and threw him over my shoulder. Simultaneously grabbing Loki's arm before throwing him to the ground as well. I twisted with Loki so that I landed straddling his hips. I grabbed Loki's wrists and pinned them above his head as I gave him an annoyed stare.

Loki looked up at me in shock for a second. I felt him relax under my hands when he realized it was me.

"Well, this is familiar." Loki smirked up at me. I sat up and released his wrists with a huff.

"Don't try and be cute when I'm mad at you." I told him.

"What did I do?" Loki asked with a frown and set his hands on my waist. "And more importantly, why are you out of your bed, Kitten?"

"I'm out of bed to get you two idiots to shut up. There are other patients trying to rest and I could literally heard you two arguing in the next fucking dimension."

Loki didn't say anything. He looked me over before sitting up and wrapping his arms around me. His head buried into my neck as he pulled me close. Some of my anger dissipated then and I wrapped my arms around his neck, relaxing into him.

"Steve, could you please take your idiot back to the room. Me and my idiot will catch up." I said and glanced over at Steve.

When I flipped Bucky over my shoulder, he had apparently accepted his fate and stayed laying down, staring at the ceiling tiles. Steve nodded at me and bent down to help Bucky off the floor. Once Bucky was up, he looked at me.

'Go, now!' I signed to him over Loki's shoulder. Bucky rolled his eyes at me before sighing 'fine' and going back to the room with Steve.

When they were out of view, I sighed and nuzzled into Loki's embrace.

"You told me this would stop happening if I let you infiltrate HYDRA." Loki said against my neck.

"Let me?" I questioned with an amused tone. Loki sighed and leaned back.

"Yes, let you. Let you do it alone, at least." He told me. I smiled and tucked a few strands of hair behind his ear.

"I'm sorry." I said as my fingers trailed down his cheek. "I was being reckless when fighting. Stubborn, really. I didn't want Steve to know it was me he was fighting, so I refused to teleport. Unfortunately, most of my fighting skills revolve around me teleporting." I explained. "Anyway, he got a good shot in." I shrugged. Loki's eyes immediately narrowed.

"Captain Rogers did this to you?" He asked lowly.

"No, my prince. He did it to an enemy. Steve would never hurt me intentionally." I said quickly to calm him down. I decided not to tell him about our little fight in the mall last year. He didn't need to know about that.

"You almost died, again." Loki emphasized. "Because of them."

"Loki..." I sighed. "It's not them." I told him. "I'm not supposed to be here. I'm changing things to try and help, but there are going to be some drawbacks. I'm just glad it's happening to me instead of one of them."

"Well, I'm not!" Loki growled. "I know you want to help them, I know, but I can't lose you. I won't survive..."

I looked at him sadly and pressed a kiss to his lips. He didn't know why I involved myself so much. He didn't understand.

"And I refuse to lose you." I whispered as I pulled back and, in that moment, he knew. He knew that something must happen to him in the future that I was trying desperately to stop. He tried to say something, ask something, but the words caught in his throat. I smiled and pulled back, pushing myself off of the floor. "Come on, my prince. Let's go back to the room."

Sam and Steve were talking outside my room while Bucky sat and sulked in a chair. Loki and I walked hand in hand up to the group and when they saw us conversation stopped.

"Oh," I said and turned to Loki, "can you conjure me up some sweatpants, or something? I really don't want my ass out for everyone to see." I explained.

Loki bent to kiss me as his seidr settled over me. When he pulled away, I was no longer in the hospital gown. I was dressed in grey sweatpants and a warm sweater.

"Better?" Loki asked and rubbed over my cheek with his thumb.

"Much." I told him with a sigh and looked back to the others.

Sam and Steve looked confused, but Bucky looked pissed. I cleared my throat to get his attention.

"James, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked when he looked at me. He nodded back and stood from his chair. I squeezed Loki's hand and turned to him. "Wait here for a minute." I said, but when I tried to drop his hand, he wouldn't release me. I looked back at him to see him already looking at me with a worried expression. "It's ok, my prince." I assured, it took another few seconds before he sighed and let my hand go.

I brought Bucky into my hospital room and shut the door behind me before walking over to sit on the edge of my bed. I felt my stitches pull when I sat and winced. When I looked back up to Bucky, he was staring at the floor a few feet in front of me.

"What the hell is your problem?" I finally asked.

"My problem?" Bucky asked and looked back up at me.

"Yes, your problem." I reiterated. "Why are you projecting all of your anger on Loki? He hasn't done anything wrong."

Bucky scoffed before looking back down to the floor and putting his hands into his pockets.

"Bucky, seriously-"

"Don't call me that." He said quickly and looked up to me. "I don't like it when you call me that."

"Why not?" I asked. "You don't let anyone else call you James, so why do I get to."

Bucky shifted on his feet and took his hands out of his pockets to cross his arms. He looked away from me sheepishly and shrugged.

"I don't mind calling you James, but I want to know why." I explained. He was quiet for another minute as he thought how best to explain it.

"I know you're not Rebecca, I know that." He started and became more frustrated as he spoke. "But I can't remember what she looked like. The few memories I have of her aren't of her, they're of you." He told me.

My heart broke. I knew it was my fault. I should have corrected him all those months ago when he mistook me for her, but I didn't know what else to do.

"I'm sorry." I said sadly. "I didn't mean to confuse you when I started trying to get your memories back. I just didn't know what else to do."

"You did what you had to." Bucky shrugged. "I guess I'm just trying to figure out what's real and what's not."

"Start a journal." I suggested. "Every time you remember something, write it down. If you have any questions if something was real or not, ask me or Steve." I told him. "Steve will probably be better to ask since he was actually with you. I can only tell you the things I knew from the films."

"Right." Bucky sighed. "The films."

It was quiet for a moment as I looked at him. Bucky looked down at the floor and stared at his shoes.

"Hey," I said and waited for him to look up at me. "You know I trust you with my life, right?" I asked. He thought for a moment before biting his lower lip and nodding. "Good, now can you stop being a complete ass to Loki?"

"Then tell him to stop making it so easy to want to kill him." He countered. I rose my eyebrows at him and clicked my tongue. "I'll try." Bucky finally sighed.

"Thank you."
