Through all of the coughing, I felt cool fingers lift my chin. I stopped coughing long enough to see Loki kneeling in front of me. He was looking at my throat, which I had no doubt was going to be bruised.

"Pierce?" I questioned before I was sent into another coughing fit by the action. Loki's hand went to my cheek as his expression became more concerned.

"Dead." Loki told me while looking me over. "Come here." He told me and leaned forward. His lips pressed to mine softly as his hand trailed from my cheek to my throat. I shuddered when I felt his sedir healing my bruised neck.

"Loki." A voice said from behind us. Loki and I broke apart and I looked past him to see Steve. His shoulder was bleeding and he had a few other cuts and bruises, but didn't look seriously hurt. He looked ready for another fight though.

"Captain." Loki greeted tightly.

"What are you doing here?" Cap asked. His voice held authority. Loki slowly stood up and turned to face Steve.

"Making sure your friend doesn't kill Sammee because apparently you can't." Loki hissed. At his words I remembered Bucky and rushed passed Loki.

Bucky was half laying on his side, so I rolled him to his back and made sure he was ok. Other than the concussion and the bruises from fighting Steve, he looked alright. I put his head in my lap and moved the hair from his face.

"They're giving us three minutes until they blow the place." Steve said. "We need to go, Sammee."

I took a shaky deep breath and sniffled before glancing behind me at Steve. He never took his gaze off Loki. I was going to have Steve carry Bucky, but with his hurt shoulder he couldn't. I turned back to look at Loki who was quietly staring at Bucky with an expression I couldn't quite read.

"Loki, I need you to carry James." I told him.

My voice was still hoarse, but I wasn't sent into a coughing fit after speaking which was nice. Loki's eyes looked to mine. He hesitated for a moment, but then nodded and bent to take Bucky from me. I stood with them and turned to face Steve.

"Get down to the bottom and wait for me. I'll go get a jet and bring it here." I told him. "We're not all going to make it otherwise."

I teleported to the top of the helicarrier and then to the closest quinjet. I got in and fired it up as fast as possible. I guided the jet to the bottom of the helicarrier and opened the back hatch as Captain America broke a section of the glass dome. I got the jet as close as possible for them to jump to and turned the jet stabilizers on.

Loki and Bucky were first. He held Bucky as he took a running start and jumped from the glass dome into the quinjet. Once he was good, it was Steve's turn. Steve backed up and started to run, but as soon as he was about to jump the cannons went off. Our time was out. The entire helicarrier tilted forward as Cap jumped. He was close, but not close enough. He missed the jet by about two feet and started tumbling to the earth below.

"Shit!" I cursed and turned the jet back to manual control. "Hold on!" I yelled back to Loki and nose dived towards Steve. Alarms started beeping in warning as I pushed the quinjet to go faster. The hatch was still open, so all I had to do was get us under Steve. The hard part would be pulling the jet back up before we hit the ground and flattened like a pancake.

As soon as the jet was under Steve, I cut the engines. He fell into the jet and grabbed on to the aircraft net against the wall to stop him from smacking into the front of the craft. When he was in, I pulled the jet up and flared the engines back up. The quinjet jerked back to its horizontal position and stabilized about four hundred feet from diving into the river below. I moved us away from the chaos of the falling helicarrier, turned on autopilot, and set a quick message to Natasha through the jet. I closed the hatch and finally let myself relax for a minute.

"Everyone alright?" I called out and stood to see if anyone was hurt. Loki had set Bucky down across the seat and was making his way over to me.

"When did you learn that?" Loki asked and put his hands on my waist. I smiled at him and went on my tiptoes to give him a quick kiss.

"I'll tell you later." I told him and took his hands off my hips. "I need to make sure James and Steve are ok first." I said and turned to look at Steve and Bucky.

"Right." Loki grumbled. I walked around Loki and over to Steve. He was watching Bucky while nursing his left hand. His hand looked crushed.

"What happened?" I asked and rushed to Steve's side. I carefully took his wrist and examined his hand.

"Oh, uhm, when I grabbed onto the net my hand got tangled." He told me. "I'll heal." Steve sighed.

"Shit." I hissed as I turned his hand and saw a large cut through the base of his fingers.

"I'm fine." Steve assured me. "You got me out."

I looked up at Steve to see he had a small smile on his face before it turned apologetic.

"Uh- listen, I'm really sorry for accusing you of turning on us." He told me.

"Don't be." I told him. "I did."

"Fury told us you went undercover to get to Bucky." Steve explained. "I should have known there was a reason. I'm sorry."

I pulled away from Steve and dropped his hand.

"Like I said, don't be." I told him sternly. "I might have done it for a good reason, but I was still HYDRA. I still followed orders. I still became their executioner."

Steve was quiet for a moment before lowering his head.

"I'm sorry you had to do that-"

"No- quit apologizing!" I demanded. "I didn't do it for you."

Steve looked back up then nodded as he looked away.

"You did it for me..." A soft voice said from behind me. I quickly spun around to see Bucky finally awake. He was lying on the bench seat and staring up at the ceiling.

"James." I sighed in relief and went to his side. He turned his head to look at me as I knelt down.

"Sammee." He greeted before looking at my neck. "I hurt you." He stated matter of factly.

"No," I said and shook my head, "you would never hurt me. The Winter Soldier hurt me."

Bucky huffed and looked back up to the ceiling.

"There's no difference." He told me. I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Buck-" Steve started, but I raised my hand to stop him.

"No difference?" I asked Bucky. "So you're telling me I went through hell for over a year, risked my life for over a year, for nothing?" I asked. Bucky looked at me for a few seconds before looking away in shame.

"Yes." He replied. I scoffed and stood up.

"Get up." I demanded and pulled a gun from my suit. "Get up!" I yelled angrily when he didn't listen and pointed the gun at him.

"Sammee-" Loki and Steve said at the same time.

"Shut up." I told them without taking my eyes off of Bucky's. A reality barrier cut me and Bucky off from the others as I continued to stare. Bucky sat up and Steve immediately moved to interfere.

"Don't!" Bucky snapped at him. "Don't touch the barrier." He told Steve before turning back to me. He stared right back at me as he slowly stood to his feet.

"We both know I can take that away from you." Bucky told me. I chuckled humorlessly and shook my head.

"You don't have to take it away if I'm giving it to you." I said and turned the gun so that I was holding the barrel. "Take the gun." I told him and held it out. Bucky looked back and forth between me and the gun, but didn't move to take it. "Take the goddamn gun!" I yelled at him.

He clenched his jaw and finally took the gun from my hand. He looked at the gun as he put his hands to his sides.

"Good," I said. "Now shoot me." I told him. Bucky's eyes snapped to mine and widened.

"Sammee, what are you doing?" Loki demanded. I ignored him and continued focusing on Bucky.

"Do it." I said again. "If there is no difference between you and the Winter Soldier, then finish what he started."

Bucky bit his bottom lip and looked to the ground, shaking his head.

"I get it, ok?" He told me.

"No, I don't think you do, so go on."

Bucky's head snapped back up and he reached out for me. He grabbed one of the straps over my chest and pulled me to him.

"Stop! I get it!" He yelled. "Just stop, ok!"

"Then never say that shit in front of me again. Do you understand me?" I asked threateningly.

"Ya," Bucky scoffed and looked away from me, releasing me in the process. "I understand." He huffed and slid the gun back into its holster. Bucky shook his head, stepping back a bit and putting his hands on his hips. He looked up at me and pulled his bottom lip between his teeth. "Did I ever tell you how dramatic you are?" He asked.

"Not out loud." I smirked.
