I didn't know what to feel anymore.

The first time, I saw my boss- I felt terrified. But now that another person from my past come back, I felt numb.

So, my second chance at life literally failed miserably. It was only a matter of time that my past come back haunting at me in the present.

But realised something for the first time while looking at the scene in front of me.

It was only my life thot died after that day, Everybody's else continued living theirs, Now looking at them, I could see for the first time how different they looked from 10 years ago.

My boss didn't look like the Jimin once knew. He had more muscles and was well built, his features were enhanced and he didn't look like the slim figured boy I knew years ago.

He looked like a handsome man. I could say the same for the woman in his arms. She was always pretty but now, she looked elegant. Everyone glowed whilst I felt like the darkness was taking over me.

"Baby, I'm so happy to see you again!! I missed you so much!" the young woman said with a big smile while her eyes only radiated happiness.

"Jennie, why are you here?" Jimin tried removing her hands off his waist.

"Why? Can't I come see my boyfriend? Do I need an explanation? I thought you will be excited to see me.." she said in a low tone.

"I have a meeting to attend right now so I would be very happy if you could keep your hands off of me right now" he spoke back in a deep tone.

"Hehe!! you don't have a meeting, your dad planned this meeting to surprise you. So, do you like your surprise?"

Suddenly, my boss pushed her hands from his body and looked at her with a glare that could literally kill people in on instant. "Jennie, stop with your childish acts and get out from here!!!" he stressed every word and with his tone, anybody could see that he was very pissed.

"Where would I go at this time now?! can't go back home, I'm still tired from all the travelling. Chim-chim...let's have dinner together...didn't spend 5 hours to reach here for nothing. It's been ages since we spent time together with only the two of us......Please.." she begged showing her so-called puppy eyes.

Both chul & were like spectators watching a show in front of us.

"If you don't get out this second, you really won't like the outcome. I don't think I have to tell you twice, you know better than to push my buttons.." he said darkly.

I wasn't going to lie, I felt like he insinuated many more things in his statement which made my blood run cold unknowingly.

As soon as he said his statement, Jennie's eyes widened a bit.

I could see that tears started to form in her eyes but my boss's expression didn't change a bit.

After the unbearable few seconds, she quickly regained her composure "Ok, I'll go to your apartment then."

and that's when her eyes landed on us.

She then averted her goze back to her boyfriend but she quickly moved back her eyes to us again or more specifically on me.

I knew when a smirk was forming on her face that she recognised me.

Am I going to get humiliated once again for something that I had no part of?

Because by her expression, I knew that it was the first thing she remembered when she saw me.

"Oh my my, who do we have here? Chim-chim.... you didn't tell me that the cond-"

"JENNIE!!!" by the sound of Jimin's growl, everything stopped moving. Even our breathing stopped.

It's only when I saw the terror in jennie's eyes that I realised that she was being dragged away by Jimin outside the restaurant.

Both chul & I glanced of each other and started giving apologetic looks to everyone inside the restaurant. It was more awkward than embarrassing.

After what felt like an hour, he came back and returned inside to where we were.

"I apologise for the disturbance. This won't happen again" I didn't know if I was imagining but felt like the second sentence wasn't really directed towards the both of us and had more than one meaning behind it.

"It's fine, Mr. Park." Eun answered gracefully.

"I'll drop the both of you home, that's the least I can do for having you come here with me"

"Thank you, Mr. Park." my colleague answered with gratefulness but I couldn't act that way.

"That's fine, Mr. Park. I can go by myself. I have to go somewhere as well but thank you for the offer" I said with my usual smile.

I knew chul wasn't surprised by my answer, it's pretty much something that she has been hearing me say ever since we both started working together.

I never accepted anybody's ride to go home. I could see that my boss was going to say something in return but before that, I quickly bowed and got out of the restaurant.

I didn't want to feel indebted to anyone, let alone to him. I knew more than anyone how this world worked.

They help you once and they expect something in return. I knew he already knew my address so there was point of hiding it from him but I still had my self-esteem left.

I wasn't going to sit inside his car, breathe the same air as him in a confined small place and act like he never broke me into a million pieces.
