After you stood up properly from his hold, you bowed slightly and tried to get away from your boss' cabin.
You didn't look back at your boss in fear that he will try to speak to you again.
Those eyes and that face reminded you of that dark moment in your life.
However, the new person in question didn't have the intention to let you go yet and stood by the door.
"Nice to meet you y/n, I am Kim Seokjin. It's a pleasure to meet you finally. I've heard so much about you" he gave you a tender smile and held his hand for a handshake.
You froze for a second but picked yourself up immediately.
He was one of the CEOs of your company.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Kim. The pleasure is all mine" you shook his hand and gave him your professional smile.
"Please, you can call me Jin when it's only us in the room" he said with a big grin.
"I don't think it will be professional, sir" you replied in a soft tone, making sure that you didn't sound disrespectful.
As much as the man in front of you was one of the persons who paid your wages and didn't seem bad, you didn't want anybody to cross your boundaries and to allow them into your life.
You were better off by yourself, at least nobody will hurt you and stob you in the back.
"When I talked to Mr. Lee to get updates about this branch, he always mentioned you during our conversations every single time and spoke highly of you. Not only are you one of our valuable staffs but you are also my friend's special someone. So no need to be formal with me behind closed doors" he reassured you while giggling.

You were perplexed by his words but you didn't want to ask or talk to him more than you already have.
Jimin who was watching all this interaction quietly on the side, was panicking inside.
He didn't tell his close friend/business partner about not having the chance to speak to you properly yet.

He was of course, your boss friend. Chul told you about it. How stupid of you that you didn't recognise it earlier. But what made you terrified was the fact that he said that you were someone special to him.

"Which Jimin? I don't know any Jimin, sir. I think you are confusing me with someone else. If you may excuse me, I need to go back to my work please" you bowed once again before swiftly moving to your side and left the cabin.
You shouldn't lie in a professional setting but technically, you didn't lie.

Jimin felt like a dogger pierce through his heart after hearing your words.
He thought he deserved more than that but still, his eyes couldn't help but well up with tears.
