《Ex-bestfriends ✓p.jm》5

Both you and Jimin walked to the classroom together while everyone throughout the corridor and room greeted the both of you with 'hellos' and waving hands.
it was a chilly morning and after talking to jimin about your future plan for university, you felt like a huge weight was lifted off your shoulders.
Your heart felt at ease knowing that whatever path you chose, jimin was going to be all along with you- next to you.
After dropping your bag in the back of the classroom in the assigned place of your name like every other student, you sat on your desk which luckily was next to Jimin.
Both you and Jimin attended a prestigious high school which was religious to be noted.
Since it was a very well known school with great feedbacks, even atheists or people from different religions attended the school.
The religious aspect was only incorporated for certain strict rules such as wearing a school uniform and not designer or high-end clothing & accessories, not wearing nail polish or any piece of jewellery except for earrings (for girls) and not conducting any inappropriate behaviour that would seem to tarnish the school's nome inside the establishment.
You enrolled to this school because of the fact it was closer to your home whilst jimin enrolled because of its name, more like it was both your parents' decisions.
At the end, you both ended up going to the some school which ending up working on both your favours.
"Hey chim! Hey y/niee!" Mia greeted you. You both greeted her back and she gave you a big hug which you reciprocated.
Mia was your best friend, you met her during the first year of high school but her bubbly personality made you warm up to her instantly.
That's how you've been friends with her for over 2 years, almost 3 years now.

You knew that all the friends you had in school were because of Jimin.
Him being the social butterfly he is, befriended everyone which meant that everyone was friendly with you as well.
Maybe unconsciously, that's one of the reasons why you felt nervous to be without Jimin.
"Are you going to attend Jungkook's party this Saturday?" Mia whispered to the both of you while standing in front of both your desks.
Partying was another thing that might seem inappropriate for this school so to be on the safe side, everyone was careful about the things they did & were a bit secretive while still enjoying their lives to the fullest.
"No, I'm not interested" Jimin stated in a deadpan expression while you shook your head softly.
"Why? You should both come! Y/n, you know that jungkook has a crush on you and he's our friend as well so we have to go!" her statement made you blush a bit, not because you had some sort of feelings for him but the thought of someone liking you romantically, and that too the Jeon jungkook, the most popular boy in the campus just manages to make you flustered.
You couldn't imagine someone liking you in that way. On the other hand, your rosy cheeks didn't go unnoticed by your guy friend who was sitting next to you which made him feel a pang of irritation.
"Regardless whether he has a crush on me or not, I can't go to his party. Plus, you are forgetting the fact that he has a girlfriend. It's not really appropriate to talk like that when he's dating someone" you tried her explaining to her.
After the separation of your parents, you developed a different view of love and marriage.
The last thing you wanted was to be labelled as a 'homewrecker' or 'side chick.

"Okay.. Sorry, I guess.." Mia shrugged it off and went back to her seat.
"Do you like jungkook?" Jimin asked you out of the blue.
"No, why?" you didn't know where he was going with this.
"You looked a bit.. flustered when Mia mentioned jungkook!" He crossed his arms.
"I just can't imagine how someone or anybody could like me, that's all"
"What are you talking about?" he turned and raised his eyebrows.
"I mean, look at me.I don't have anything special. I'm not the most beautiful girl or the most intelligent one. I don't have a striking personality either. I can't imagine someone liking me or having a crush on me that's why I got flustered. Nothing else" I shrugged casually.
"Y/n..." He called out softly, and before helding my shoulder and making me look at him. " you are beautiful and clever in your own way. Your personality is what I love the most about you. Why wouldn't someone like you?" he told you sternly.
Hearing his words brought a warm smile on your face. "Thank you, chim" he only ruffled your hair with a big cheeky smile as a response.
That's when the lecturer entered the room and started the lesson. The words you exchanged that day seemed insignificant and typical of high school life.
Nothing grandiose or impactful at all but who knew that it was the very last day you both had a blissful time with each other.
